Great atmosphere, very friendly, phenomenal waitstaff, prices are very good for the amount of food you get. Every time I eat here I love this place a little more.

Red Olive is awesome! Never had a bad meal here and never had bad service. Regardless of what meal you have here (breakfast, lunch, dinner) you're guaranteed to leave full and not broke. I love their Gyro salad. The salad itself is huge and they give you a decent amount of meat. I also love their Gyro meal. Highly recommended!

This place serves some of the best yeros I have ever had. The meat is always fresh and not pre sliced and dried out like the yeros at the Senate. My wife likes their salad with fruit, always fresh. A coupon comes in the mail and saves us 5.00 . This is a great deal.

Sorry! Have loved this place but something has changed. The turn over of girls and them not being trained leads to sloppy incorrect service. My family and I were disappointed in the number of errors and times we had to ask for things. I also suspect they may have a new cook. If so, they aren't doing a good job. Worst greek salad And I use to love their greek. The lettuce was old and had a funky taste- tomatoes weren't fresh - lettuce was sparce - usually the salads are huge and fresh- the feta was so crumbled and had no flavor- I swear there were more garbanzo beans than there was salad greens. The coneys are usually loaded with chili and the shredded cheddar added as a topping- not broiled to the point of ruining the coneys. The fries were great. This is my 3rd- 4th straight disappointing experience. Time to try somewhere else.

An icy bottle of Blue Moon with a broil salmon and fruit salad for breakfast on a Sunday. Salmon was cooked perfectly. I do wish the fruit was a bit fresher and not macerated strawberries, but it was exactly what I needed. Waitress was very attentive and friendly, though she was busy with the usual church crowd. Our salmon cook time held back our plates from everyone's quick breakfasts but it was fine once we had those beautiful plates in front of us. Only bummer was they forgot to add the fresh avocado I asked for but oh well. I wish there was a Red Olive around Ann Arbor/Dexter/Chelsea.

I've been to a Red Olive before but this one is very good. We had excellent service. Our food came out quickly. My kids both give it a ten out of ten. Great atmosphere

So, this place has GIANT salads. Like, "there is no way I should have eaten the entire thing but hey its healthy so dont judge" size salads. And not only greek - they have about 3 pages of unique and intriguing salad choices. You can't go wrong with the greek with chicken though, which I tend to always find my way back to anyways. The greek dressing is creamy and flavorful. Many people may dislike that they charge for pita bread (an additional 50c) but I don't mind at all, it keeps me from eating it! Heyyyyy portion control!

A few of us at work ordered this as take out. The food was horrible and they forgot to give us a few of our items. One guy ordered veal parm, the veal parm was missing the sauce and it was suppose to come with mashed potatoes and gravy and it was missing that too. He said the veal tasted like something that was pre-made boxed crap. I ordered the fisherman's platter. My meal was also missing the mashed potatoes and gravy. All the fish in the platter tasted as if it was pre-made boxed crap as well. The green beans that came it was very rubbery. Another guy ordered hummus and said it wasn't very good either. Final thoughts; if you are looking for coney island style food and prices go to a coney island, there is one almost right across the street.

How hard is it for a cook to brown and crisp the hash browns and bacon? Very it seems.

Most of my visits to a Red Olive are pleasant. This is my first visit to the Livonia location. This time the hostess was VERY SNARKY and not friendly at the least. Waitress rushed me and seemed intolerable to me taking my time to order. When food arrived I had ordered the Waldorf Chicken Salad, the chicken was dry and rest of ingredients were not fresh. Again out of character from my previous visits to other locations. Bummer since this location is closest to my house, and I generally love my visits, bit not this time. My rank today 2 1/2 stars. Hope they step up their game.

Service was not there. I was promptly seated and 7 minutes later I walked out. No one came to my table.

Seriously great salads here. I will be back for their salads no doubt. The salads are huge and have a lot of unique choices including options with mangos, avocado, strawberries, salmon, tuna etc. I ordered the "California's Best" salad and it was delicious! The grilled chicken was not dry at all and had great flavor, detected a hint of rosemary seasoning. However the description of the salad said it came with sunflower seeds on top which I was excited about - love the crunch without the calories of croutons .. but I guess they must have been out of them because they were missing on my salad - besides that I have no complaints. It is a bright, clean, place with friendly service. My salad seemed very fresh and I was really impressed with it. I also had a cup of lemon rice soup, it was good but I've had better. The menu is huge though I don't think I'll stray from ordering salads because of how good they all sound! They also carry tons of greek options, wraps, sandwiches, pitas, burgers, stir fry, pasta, and breakfast anytime. This place is essentially a Coney Island on steroids - and I will happy to come again!

Been going to Red Olive in Livonia for about 4 years now. It's a greek restaurant that has a variey of food but my favorites are their gyro and their salads. They have a large variety of salads including cobb salad, California salad, bistro, waldorf, and their specialty the greek. (big bonus they have a good FF greek dressing). I'm a big fan of the Gyro Supreme which comes with feta on it. They have Saganaki and all the greek favorites too. Wife like the chicken gyro with avocado but I forget the name. Only thing I have ever had that I wasn't impressed with was the grape leaves. The other thing they excel in is breakfast. I get the spinach and feta omelet and love it. Everything I have had breakfast wise was good. Inside of restaurant is laid out like a coney island. They have a few TVs with the news usually playing (or MI sports). Place is always clean and staff is nice and quick. Carry out is always quick and correct. They have a menu online and prices are reasonable.

Completely unimpressed! Ordered carryout, the driest fattoush I've ever had. Hommus bland and not edible. Their Red Olive Farm salad was ok but thr ranch dressing was watery. A waste of 29 bucks.

Three stars because it's a good price, nice waitstaff and clean. The food is only passable. This was our second visit. This time on a Friday night as I wanted to try the fish and chips. Huge mistake! The fish was very ordinary and I think one of the pieces was raw! Load up the plate with lots of chips, and add three tiny pieces of fish, with a side of green beans with tomato (!) and you have a 7.95 dinner. I think not! Sorry, Red Olive, I would not recommend your diner. But, the little Jersey Shore bus boy is a great side show. If his shirt were any tighter and his hair any greasier, he would be a true contender for Pauly D.

My family and I went here on a week day around 5pm. Not too many customers in the restaurant. I asked the waitress could I get the fried chicken dinner with white meat only, I said I'd pay extra my husband asked the same of the BBQ chicken dinner. She said she'd check. Came back said yes. When she brought our meals they had dark meat I said this is not all white meat, she said "yes it is" (REALLY?!?) I said this is a leg this is a thigh that's dark meat she said "oh let me take it back." She came back and said there are no substitutions. I said why didn't you say that initially? She said sorry, asked if we wanted something else. We re-ordered. My dinner came lava hot on one side, iced cold on the other and the waitress dropped the plastic sour cream for my potato on the floor on the way over then the WAITRESS PUT THE SOUR CREAM CONTAINER THAT FELL ON THE FLOOR ON MY PLATE! I said stop right there remove these meals we'll pay for our son's food and our drinks. Don't EVER put ANYTHING that has touched the floor on a customers plate! That is a health code violation! There was no manager there, the cashier said he'd be in after 7pm. She refused to give us his number but she took ours. HE NEVER CALLED. We had come here quite a few times in the past and never had a problem till this experience. Our waitress for this visit seemed very young, completely inexperienced and obviously clueless. I don't blame her I blame the management for not training her to know that; 1/2 of a chicken is 2 pc's of white 2 of dark, that the restaurant doesn't offer substitutions, and finally THAT THINGS THAT HAVE TOUCHED THE FLOOR GO IN THE GARBAGE NOT THE CUSTOMER'S PLATE. But how could she be trained whiteout a manager present to supervise her?

called to talk to the manager and was left on hold forever

Favorite local spot by far for breakfast and lunch. Their omelette special is not only amazing, but if you go before 11 am it's $3.95! For lunch I usually do one of their chicken wraps or whatever is on special. I recently moved out of state and I miss this place tremendously. No one does an omelette quite like they do. The morning of our wedding our entire bridal party had breakfast here, it's that great! Their servers are kind and efficient, I cannot recall a bad experience here. Highly recommend, cannot wait to go back for a gyro omelette!

Good food. Terrible service. Server named T****y literally never returned once for a refill or to check on us during the visit. She was never on the floor at this time. We then waited 5 minutes after finishing our meal to get our bill.

This Red Olive used to be the Honey Tree, but I guess it was bought out by the Red Olive owners... I don't know. All I know is that It's really good. They have great breakfasts, and the specials are always tasty. I've had their sandwiches a few times - always up to par. The one thing that really keeps me coming back? Their hashbrowns. I don't know what it is about them, but they're always crisp yet fluffy, with a buttery, light flavor. Fantastic!

Great lunch spot for me and my friend M or my friend L. Busy, but not too much so, with sufficient waitstaff. Bright, open interior. Decent parking in the back. M usually gets the small Greek salad, which is huge, and has chick peas and some serious feta presence. L loves the Rosa Marina soup (and so will you!! White meat chicken, orzo, and fresh veggies in a tomato broth). I branch out more. There was a time when I was addicted to the Sampler Platter appetizer - veggie grape leaves, tzatziki and hummus with pita bread - and ate it twice a week for a couple of months straight. Now, I'm not usually a fan of grape leaves, but their's are so tangy and fresh (delish in the grape leave wrap with hummus too). Their tzatziki... a moment of silence... amazing. I've also enjoyed their gyro (ask for tzatziki because it doesn't include it). Finally, if you're a breakfast for lunch (or dinner) kinda person, I can highly recommend the Country omelet (bacon, tomato, onion, green pepper and swiss perfection) or the Fruit and Nut pancakes, which contain dried cherries and almonds. They have over 30 salads on their menu, so if you're a salad fan... you'll find a dozen favorites here, I bet. Excellent for take out. Also wraps, sandwiches, burgers and full entrees. This local chain is a winner... and consistent. I've had the Country omelet at three different ROs, and it's taste the same at each location.

Ordered fried mushrooms they where brought to table with main course. They were cold, as they had been sitting fore a while. Made mention to waitress, with reply back that that's the way they were given to her. Main course was cold also. Lack of attention is very obvious as all the drama the waitress's are talking about.

Huge salads. When you order them with chicken, you get a whole big chicken breast. The small sized salad is giant. Really fresh food.
(4)Eric G.
This place is decent.. Always good service and the breakfast is always solid. I only come here with Co-Workers for breakfast and everyone seems to love it the omelette's specifically the bacon and cheese. I mean, how can you go wrong with bacon and cheese?? you just can't I would recommend that they put a breakfast sandwhich on the menu asap however because i am obsessed with breakfast sandwhiches. They will make you one but it is nothing special.

disappointed. ordered the lunch special fish and chips, got billed for the dinner. green beans tasted like they were seasoned with burnt bacon grease. no one asked how the food was, and when I pointed out that I had ordered the lunch special, I was informed that I got the dinner, no adjustment, and no apology. fish and fries were good, but I would never go back

I am a huge fan of Red Olive and keep coming back for the Greek salad with chicken and spinach and feta omelette. I haven't veered from their Greek food because it's so darn delicious! The Greek dressing is by far the best around. The Plymouth location is a step above the Canton one, but I still go to Canton most of the time because it's closer.
