How have I lived in the area for 2+ years and never tried this place? Definitely old school recipes, but delicious. The fried rice wasn't delicious, but then again, I really don't like fried rice ANYWHERE! The facility is nothing special, boring if you will...but the food makes up for it, EASILY! I enjoyed combination lomein and beef chop suey...very tasty. The egg roll was different, but good! Carry out took 10 minutes. TRY IT! :)

It was good! Decently priced, basic Chinese in a generous portion. I carried out... The dining room is small and the place looks sketchy, but don't judge this book by its cover! I had the General Tao's chicken... I'll go back again.

was hoping to get lucky since its been 2 years since we moved to this area and I have yet to find one good Chinese place. Stumbled on this one not far from the house. Ordered basics since we did not now the place well. Figured if the basics were good then the rest should be fine. Basics were not good. I have never been to a Chinese place that was so bland - I need salt! The almond chicken - no flavor, the fried rice...eh. The won ton soup had NO FLAVOR and surprisingly hardly any meat at all in the won ton dumplings. I added salt and it still did not matter. Even the fried noodle crackers they give you were tasteless. Sweet and sour pork was tough and gristle-y and the General Tso chicken seemed to have n identity crisis. We were not sure if it was teryiaki, sesame, orange chicken or what t was. It also had large green peppers in it with sesame seeds sprinkled on top and there were onions and carrots in the sauce that was more sweet than spicy. Also the chunks were HUGE. Usually, aren't they bite sized or maybe a two bite chunk? These I had to cut into 4-5 pieces each and the chicken was dry. The hot and sour soup had some flavor but not enough to be as good as other hot and sour soups I have had. It was also a bit thick and gelatinous. I know they thickened with cornstarch and it was too much cornstarch. The egg rolls were so so. Dinner rolls were dry. The prepackaged fortune cookies had good flavor and were crispy. I will however say that everything was packaged nicely in a sturdy box and the people there were nice. ....however when it comes to the taste of the food, better luck somewhere else I think.

I am definitely a fan of Lucky Inn. It's certainly not gourmet food, by any stretch of the term, but it is definitely tasty, fried goodness. I really enjoy the Almond boneless chicken, and also like the sweet and sour chicken. My husband is a big fan of the chicken lo mein. The egg rolls are decent - not my favorite, but pretty good. A little bit too much pepper for me. Overall, if you're looking for a good place for typical American fried Chinese takeout, then Lucky Inn is a good choice. This is the best that I've found in the Plymouth/Livonia/Westland area.
