If you liked the Village Place Coney in Redford, you will love the Village Grill Coney Island. The food is excellent because the cook used to work for Village Place, and they're just down the street from the old location (it had burned down). So far everything I've had has been excellent. The omelettes are huge and packed with flavor, and the sausage gravy is excellent... homemade flavor... yummmmmm... Same with the hash browns. And the steak sub... The country scramble is one of the most crave-tastic things you will find on a Coney menu anywhere. It might stop your heart, but I was going to make it my last meal on Earth anyway. There are a lot of Coney Islands in the area, but this tops all of them without a doubt. I'm glad these guys are finally back.

Not crazy about it. Lots if choices but their eggs tasye funny to me and i think their hash browns are fake def not the real potatoes im used to. Staff js prettty friendly though?

Good service and really good chocolate chip pancakes. The coffee is good too! Clean inside and friendly staff!

It's a diner. A little dated and worn looking. But as diner food goes, the food was excellent and generous portions. Staff was very friendly. Service was very good and fast. Nice family atmosphere.

I had breakfast for dinner tonight and it was pretty darn good. Some say it's hard to mess up pancakes, but sometimes you get some that resemble rubber play food in a little kid's pretend kitchen. Not the case at Livonia Grill Coney Island (note the change from "Village Grill"). I was pleased to get two fluffy pancakes, two real scrambled eggs (not that poser crap from a carton), four slices of bacon and two slices of toast for $4.29. My mom had the Coney special (I think) - hot dog with ground beef, chili and onions. She said she'd prefer the chili to be spicier, loved the fries, but wasn't impressed with the cole slaw (she said it needed something). I thought it tasted just like KFC cole slaw, but I'd add more carrots or something. The restaurant is nice and clean and the waitstaff is really friendly. The prices are cheap, like you'd expect at a Coney Island. I did enjoy my BFD, so I'll be back for actual breakfast, when the prices are cheaper ($2.99 for the breakfast special I had). They also have some specials where you get free coffee with a breakfast special and "buy one get one 50% off" lunches and dinners. Good deal.

They have typical coney food and it's always been good, but they have a Philly cheesesteak that, in my opinion, is so much tastier than most of the actual Philly cheesesteak places around the area. If you stop in for lunch, I suggest that. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
