Great comedy show at Joeys Comedy Club upstairs the comedians were hilarious! Staff was friendly and the appetizers were really good. I have a new favorite drink the bartender recommended with pear Vodka and St. Germaine. Delicious!

First time at Kicker's/Joey's Comedy Club. We bought the dinner and show combo. Fish and chips were decent but the chicken ceasar salad was sad. Bag-o-salad from the grocery store has more going for it. Very little chicken and almost all salad. A dry roll with no butter or flavor was the salad ' s companion. Then upstairs to the show. Despite the dinner combo...we were required to order 5.00 of food or beverage--each. No one told us this. We were stuffed prior to coming up. A mediocre and surprisingly pricy evening at best.

The food was OK but very expensive. The inside decor looks like a funeral home. We were told the entire place is going to be renovated soon.

My man and I ate here on Tuesday for the prime rib because it's only $1.35 an ounce! We also tried the jambalaya and it was amazing. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was acceptable. Food came fast.

My friends and I had dinner before the comedy show. Valet is a plus!! The food was actually really good but took a long long time to get to the table after a long day of starving for the night out. With a bunch of girls...wasn't pretty. So the girls decided to be girls and ordered salads. Really? No no no, I did not save my calorie intake for lettuce. So I ordered a pizza with extra mushrooms, and mustard on the side..I really can't eat the pizza crusts without mustard. It's ridiculously good. I could put mustard on almost anything. Got the pizza well-done just the way I like it. Also ordered cheese garlic bread that was amazing. It was so good, the lettuce eaters took mostly all and left me with a slice. All in all, place had a very cool hawked out vibe. Felt so old with all the youngsters there. Even the waitresses, so nice but yet so slow. Very loud towards the end of the night. And packed.

The service was good. Prompt with the drinks, ordering, check... LOUD! I felt like I had to shout so that I could be heard. The food was ok. We had the dinner/show combo and the dinner options are limited. Not the way I would go in the future. I would have liked the option of a Sandwich/bowl of soup. I had the rib dinner. The ribs were good. Not fatty. No gristle. They were tough and I had rip them apart with a heavy duty steak knife. LOL Definitely not as the waitress had described. the fries were cold and limp. No flavor. Loved the lil slice of garlic bread. The lobster bisque was very delish. Hubs had the chicken bianco. It was served cool and lacked the flavor that he was expecting. The veggies weren't flavorful. One of my friends had the salmon dinner, rice and green beans. The salmon looked very good. She seemed to enjoy it. Our other friend ordered the prime rib. I was surprised that it was a nice meaty slice with hardly any fat. I would possible choose that next time. I had a rum runner and it was light on the rum. Hubs didn't quite care for his rum/coke. They possibly used the wrong rum with the coke.

i wouldn't recommend the food i had tonight to anyone: the calamari appetizer was thin, unbelievably chewy, and tasted like french fries. the talapia was grey in color and unseasoned, paired with a huge cold chunk of broccoli that was hard as a rock. i had to send my entree back, it was just really awful. i tried the chicken parmesan as my replacement entree. the chicken was overly breaded and the marinara was very bland and watery. if i ever go back (unlikely) I'll have a salad, its hard to mess up a salad.

Went in for lunch with a group. The food was good, high quality stuff. We got a variety of dishes and everyone was pleased. The service was a bit slow for lunch, but our server (Samantha I think) made up for it by being gorgeous! Next time I'm going to try the $1/pound prime rib Tuesday!

I went here after work about a week ago with a coworker for dinner and a few beers. It was very empty for 6pm on a Friday. This place is definitely more of a nighttime thing it seems. Their beer selection is mediocre and the food is decent. There's a comedy club attached to the place, and I would like to try it out sometime. I'll have to check it out later at night when it's hoppin'

I was there with a party of 12 celebrating a friends 40th birthday. The list of failures on the restaurants part was almost as funny as the Comedy show afterwards. Four people at the table did not get what they ordered including be myself. I declined at the time that I ordered the waitresses almost insistent up sell on the Lemon Pepper Salmon special and opted instead for the regular menu grilled salmon. About an hour latter what arrived at the table was the Lemon Pepper Salmon Special. For only an additional $4.00 I suppose the waitress just figured I couldn't afford not to eat what she decided I eat. It was hard to complain though as five people at the table didn't get any food until after the amount of time it took the more fortunate of us to finish the random plates that were given to us. The birthday boy who ordered the fillet was among those still waiting and attempted to pass the time with a beer. On three occasions the waitress asked him if there was anything he'd like while he waits. On three occasions he responded "yes id like a beer". His first beer arrived with his check with the excuse from the waitress "sorry, i ordered the beer but forgot and left it at the bar" my buddy says "I can tell because its warm" to which the waitress replied with "i hate warm beer. that sucks" and walked away. Now before the beer issue all others at the table received and finished their food before the man of the hour got his filet. The owner came out and informed him that there was a failure in the kitchen and that were firing the steak right away. Two minutes later the birthday boy had a big plate of Ice cream cake dessert in front of him and was told that he should enjoy a free dessert while waiting for the overpriced and outlandishly late steak to arrive. There were easily five other things that happened during our dinner along those same lines. It was comical

Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. I have not been in a more poorly managed business than Kickers. Our server was incompetent. The kitchen was incompetent. The manager was incompetent. Food was mediocre but expensive. Drinks were even more expensive. We had 630 reservations for the Living Social dinner and show deal. We didn't get our food until 755. When we asked to see the manager he rudely asked what we wanted him to do about it, then told us to scarf down our food and go upstairs. To be fair, they did finally offer to buy our first round of drinks in the comedy club, and didn't charge us for our "upgrades." The only employee who knew what he was doing was an abused bus boy who had to cover for everyone. He even made our martinis after the "bartender" told us she didn't know how. The comedians at Joey's Club were hilarious, but Kickers is a joke.

Horrible food, bad service, expensive drinks...couldn't even stand to stick around for the comedy

With visions of Dirty Martinis dancing in my head, I printed off my Restaurant.com certificate and dragged Ken to Kickers for some drinking and deep fried goodness. We sat in the bar, scoring a booth. Cute waitresses (yeah I saw you looking Ken!). Pretty good Happy Hour specials, til 7pm, including $5 martinis (instead of $9). We split the calamari which was supposed to come with aoli but came instead with warm, chunky red sauce. I was expecting more excitement on the plate, especially for $9. Not even average. I've had better from mediocre diners. Ken got the wings, sold by the pound. He asked for two of the wings to be Ghost Pepper flavored and the others to be Hot Buffalo. First off, they're breaded wings, and he is not a fan. Secondly, no one (including Ken) could tell which wings were which. And none of them were hot. I had an individual pizza. I asked for thicker crust, and instead I got thin crust, but floppy. Couldn't pick the pieces up. Flavor was worse than frozen Jeno's (and I insult Jeno's by comparing). The only good things we had were the martinis for me (still awesome) and the French Onion Soup for Ken (but at $4.50... gack... that's the price of a martini, dude!!).

This place isn't sure if it wants to be a classy restaurant or a dive bar. They're actually the latter but they've tried to create an atmosphere of a nicer place by turning the lights down and pushing the prices up. Nice try, but that's a rookie mistake. We got there in time for their happy hour which ends at 7pm, and I was happy to hear that glasses of wine were only $3. I had their living social deal, so they gave us a short list of things we could order. I'll occasionally eat fish if there are no vegetarian friendly options, so I decided to try their lobster bisque and since the menu said it was only $2.99 to substitute salmon instead of chicken in their alfredo, I got that as well. The lobster bisque was like a fishy, thick tomato soup. I would never get it again. The salmon alfredo was alright, I wasn't expecting anything special after the bisque and I certainly wasn't pleasantly surprised. When our bill came, I was actually charged $4 for each glass of wine and $3.99 each for the salmon. Maybe they thought we wouldn't notice since it was so dark in there. When we asked about the discrepancy our waitress told us that she didn't work in the restaurant normally, so she didn't know the prices. The manager came over and pointed out the salmon for an additional $2.99 meant we could have their salmon dinner for $2.99 more, not substitute salmon. WTF. Put that information on your menu then! I would have just gotten the dinner had it been offered to me that way. Looking around, I saw people with food that looked great but that wasn't on the LivingSocial menu, apparently we get the scraps with our coupon and the real food goes to the real customers. DON'T try this place. Go to Joey's, but eat at a real restaurant before you go. McDonald's would have been an upgrade.

Wow, This place is horrible. We went with several people for lunch at work.. It was a prime rib special day.. $1 per pound for prime rib.... First of all, no one here knows how to cook a prime rib rare, or even medium rare. Everyones food was very over done and bland. One guy in our group had a gigantic black hair in his food. Upon politely bringing it to our servers attention.. she says (very loudly) "well that wasn't my hair." Usually a situation like this, the food is quietly removed, replaced and handled although here at Kickers they decide to make it a scene.. while the server goes on the defensive about how it isn't her hair... as if that matters to us as to whos hair is in our food. I will never go back here and I suggest you avoid this place at all costs.

While we haven't had the food here, we have headed down to the bar after a comedy show at Joey's. It was crazy busy, but I think there was some big sporting event showing on the TVs. The service was decent once you could work your way to the bar. Although it wasn't my scene, it looked like a really fun bar for meeting people. The vibe was fun and positive.

First off, the ONLY reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because of our service from the waitress, Faith, during our dining experience. The comedians were great as well, but as they aren't really employees of the place, I don't really count them as part of my experience with the company itself. Rob and I went here Friday night for a friend's birthday. We had a group of about 16 people that went out. The first thing that was quite off-putting was when we called to add ourselves to my friend's reservation. The girl was rude and had to keep asking the same questions multiple times. We requested the dinner/show special, which is listed on their website as $29. Once we hung up, the girl had to call back to ask for the credit card number (she asked twice the first time). Once it was repeated to her, we hung up. We can see the charges come up right away and when ours came up, it said $32 (it's $16 for each ticket if you ONLY go to the show). SO, we call back to verify that we were being added in for dinner and the comedy show upstairs. She told us, quite rudely, that it was charged correctly and that we would pay for dinner when we went there. Fairly annoyed, but we took her word for it. I mean, she's the one who works there, not me. We show up, and they had our party separated into 2 tables. I would understand this if there was no room for us to be sat together, but there was more than enough space. And yes, I mean more than enough without blocking aisle ways or anything. We ordered our food and were sure to only order the things we remembered seeing on the site as included in the dinner/show menu. Once we ate and got the bill, Rob sent it back with his card. I unfortunately didn't look at the charges until after he sent the card with her. When I said something, we found out 2 other couples were treated the same way on the phone and that they too had been charged incorrectly. When the waitress came back, we explained the whole ordeal to her. She was very understanding and said that had she not run the cards she could have adjusted the bills. That was understandable, but we still wanted to be accommodated somehow. She then started questioning why we were charged for the show in the first place. Apparently when birthdays are involved, each of the birthday people can get 5 people in free. She asked if we would like to speak to the manager and we said yes. OH BOY. This guy was a huge a**hole. As soon as he sat down, he was a total jerk. He asked what happened in a short and annoyed way. We tried explaining to him the whole situation 3 times and he just didn't get it. He then said, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" Are you serious? You talk to your customers like that. He finally said he would give us one free drink each to compensate...wow, one drink for the $30 overcharge and for the idiot upstairs who screwed it up in the first place. When we brought up the birthday situation and questioned why we were charged for tickets in the first place, he replied with, "Sorry, we don't refund show tickets. No exceptions." So wtf. The waitress suggested we get in free today and save our tickets, which are good for one year, for another date. He very reluctantly agreed. I wanted to speak up and say no thanks and that we would never come back after being talked to like that! Oh, and not to mention, once he sat down, we found out he was the owner, not the manager! I would have been far less angry had he been a little more apologetic and had he made it seem like he was going to handle the situation with the girl on the phone. But instead he made it sound like it was a huge inconvenience that we were there. We still tipped the waitress well because it's not her fault that place is ran like a joke. We will not be returning. The worst part is...it doesn't stop there. I am about to write an almost equally bad review for Joey's, the comedy club upstairs. Go to their page if you care to read.

It's up it's GOOOOD! That also speaks about the food the same way. I have dined here for lunch many times. I have discovered that sitting around the bar during lunch is much faster. The place has a sports theme. Nice size TVs, plenty to spare. On this lunch here's what I had: Bar Burger and criss cut fries - seasoned The burger was pretty good, half pound of all american beef, hot. Fries were good and hot, with some mild seasoning.- 3.5 Stars Service - Good, fast, always kept my drink(coke) filled, never less than half. Sitting at bar makes this more accomodating. 4 Stars Cleanliness - The bar area well kept. Bathroomo(Men's), clean. This is a nice lunch time bar. On this visit I was talking to the hostess/manager. I was making her laugh som much that she said I should do open mic night(Mon & Tues upstairs at Joeys). Well, you know the old saying, don't quit your day job.......That's always something I wanted to do too.....never know....

Went here with a group of 12 for two friends' birthdays. start, restaurant. The server was something else, did not get drink orders correct, we had to ask for water for the table 3 separate times. At one point she mentioned we needed to get our orders in before they got slammed. At no point was the restaurant over half full, but it still took nearly 45 minutes before she came back to take our order (at this point our first round of drinks were long gone) and then another 1/2 hour for them to deliver. We had a couple salads, the chicken fajitas, 3 lbs of wings, a burger, 2 orders of Alfredo, a fish wrap, a chicken wrap, the salmon and the ribs. None of these were above ordinary and outside of the onion rings, there were no high points. Here is a sordid list of the lows, -the chicken wings were not tossed in any of their respective sauces, but came out with a side of sauce to dip in, the teriyaki being the worse, nothing more then soya with some sugar (which i realize is the base ingredients but this was still a poor representative of it) -the veggies on the side of the salmon were definitely microwaved and then oversalted. The salmon itself was dry. -the chicken for the chicken fajitas was obviously the strips of grilled chicken for salads that come in the 3lb bags (yes i have worked low end restaurants before) that were put on the sizzle plate at the last moment. -Sides of cucumbers and soups were forgotten, dressings were incorrect, ketchup was asked for twice, the baked potato had definitely been on the steam table for too long -bills were incorrect with items that never arrived (the soup and cucumbers) charged and then items placed on the incorrect bills. The restaurant suffered from trying to be more then it was, with its candle lit/fireplace atmosphere but poor bar food and poor service. That being said, one might wonder how this place even managed 2 stars, especially given our experience at the comedy club. At least the club was free, but the feature and the headliner act were terrible. One thought joking about abusing women and ridiculing the males in the crowd for not laughing at those jokes was funny and the headliner was either too drunk or playing at being drunk, neither of which worked for him. The bar/dance club was the saving grace with attentive service and a dance floor one could gyrate without being molested by half a dozen horny college guys. The drinks were overpriced for a dance club though, overall, this probably deserves a 1 1/2, but that feature is not available.
(2)Tiffany H.
Nice place to bring a group, it hasn't been very busy the few times I've been there. Food, drinks and prices are pretty good.
(3)Lisa M.
Went for a friends birthday, the restaurant was freezing! Although when we went to the bar section we had a ton more fun, because it was a Wednesday night we had the whole dance area to ourselves and they had corn hole to play! Had a great time there!
(3)Jeremy H.
Food is good but expensive for what it is. Waitstaff is nice to look at but can be slow at peak time. Comedy club upstairs is a good time (separate ticket purchase must be made)
(3)Kickers itself is a really fun bar. However, the entire complex includes Kickers, which is a rectangular room with the bar in the middle like an island and an attached room has a DJ and dance floor, Perfect Ten Martini Bar & Grill and Joey's Comedy Club. I went to Kickers for Halloween with some friends. Great place to celebrate the ghoulish holiday, by the way. The extremely attractive bar staff dressed in costume, as did many patrons, and there was a costume contest. The bar had a variety of beers on tap and bottled, and domestic bottles can be purchased for a cheaper price from the beer girl than at the bar. The shots in the test tubes may sound like a fun idea, but actually, the shots were quite potent. I'm still wondering if I ingested alcohol or chemicals. Other than the test tube shots, the shots ordered at the bar were pretty decent. The Johnny Vegas shots were quite tasty (like Smarties candies, actually). I must admit, I was a bit worried when my first cranberry and vodka seemed watered down, but the subsequent drinks were much better quality. Overall, I found the bar staff to be friendly, helpful, knowledgable and available. The crowd was mostly people in their 20s and 30s, and most on the dance floor were in their early to mid-20s that night. The comedy club and martini bar may draw an older crowd. The bar has a really cool look about it. On top of the bar is a large fish tank and the room sort of glows a tropical blue. It seems modern without overdoing it.l As for the restroom it started off pretty clean, but it got a bit more gross as the night wore on. But it was still pretty clean as far as bar-bathroom standards go. Valet parking is available, if desired. I would definitely recommend this bar to a friend, and I would go there again even on a regular night, rather than just on a holiday like Halloween.
