Went here last week on the boat, the pizza was good, the sweet potato fries and sauce were tasty, however, the fish tacos were poor.

TERRIBLE SERVICE !!! Good old planks did a BAD job again!!!. Took us 15 minutes to be seen after we were not greeted, ordered 2 drinks and it took another 10 minutes finally I got up walked to the bar and ordered our drinks,then we were not seen again for 30 minutes then the waitress finally saw us and asked if we needed anything. We ordered a appetizer, then she never showed back up to ask us if we wanted dinner. while we were waiting we noticed a waiter sneezing on a pizza he just pulled out of the oven, and his co worker laughed about it. We then paid the bar tender for our appetizer and left. The other times we have been here the pizzas we ordered are always under cooked, or burnt to a crisp, and we have gotten undercooked burgers and steaks, its like they just don't care. We are never going back again.

Walked in and saw 24 open tables, was told to put our name on the list to be seated. Took 20 min to place a drink order and the. Another 20 to place food order. Pizza came out wrong and watching the kitchen it was obvious that there was no management there. Everyone looking at every ticket and fighting over who should cook what. Suck a same as this place needs management in the front and back of the house. Will not be back until it changes names again. Should only be 6 months at the rate they are going.

Like other have written, I really wish that there was the option for zero stars cuz giving planks 1 star is too generous! My husband and I stopped up here for drinks and dinner and chose to sit at the bar, after reading the posts regarding slow service I figured the bar would be a bit quicker and since I myself was a bartender for many years, I know dining at the bar is sometimes a better option. Well in this case I was wrong! The bartender had zero personality and at times seemed annoyed that we were even there. I ordered a wine and had to return it cuz it tasted sour ( she didn't believe me) So I order the same thing my husband was drinking, draft beer (easy) and when My husband ordered a 2nd beer she asked" do you want a new glass" no please serve my draft beer in a warm glass!? And no, he wasn't drinking a pitcher. I asked how one of the mixed drinks they advertised were, she quickly replied " I wouldn't know, I don't drink.. I'm a recovering alcoholic" Ding ding ding ding...well that answered a lot right there! If you talk to any successful restauranteur, they will tell you the key to serving good food is for the chef to taste what they are cooking, the same holds true with bartenders! You need to taste what you are making to make sure the flavors are there. We started with the pretzel bites, which were previously frozen, (not uncommon) these were very dry and chewy, didn't take long to realize that these had freezer burn on them, if you don't properly close a bag, removing all the air, this is what you get. I my husband ordered a hamburger, which he liked, and I ordered an individual pizza. The crust had the consistency of card board. Very dry and brittle, no taste at all, I had 2 slices and that was it. The only positive experience of the night was the live entertainment. He was amazing.

This was just horrible. .to be treated the way we were..not only by the server..but the manager. ..this was our 1st time ever here....trust us we will never be back...beware this place is bad..!!!!!!!!!!..no need to go into what happened..but this place shouldn't be allowed to stay open.!!!!!

Had a great time here for dinner. Our server Jacob was excellent, very attentive. Enjoyed fish and chips and outdoor heaters on the patio!

Dinner this evening was terrible. Honestly the food is just not good. Cod-which I eat a couple times a month at home-was rotten I could not eat it. The kids chicken strips were breaded breast of the lowest quality...I did notnlet our child finish. The fries are so limp. We tried tonight for the second time since the reopen and we are done.

The place looks nice and clean. It started well with us being greeted and seated quickly on the patio. Took a couple minutes for us to order drinks and get them, but nothing not expected on a lazy Monday evening. However, after we ordered, things quickly went south. It took an hour, and everyone around us to get their orders before us, for us to have had enough and walk out. The manager was very nice saying they would comp the drinks and apologized for the kitchen ineptness. We drove 40 minutes Memorial Day to have a horrible experience. I would not recommend this place except to my enemies.

Would love to review the food, but of the three times we have tried to eat here we haven't made it past the drinks. Service is horribly slow. Sitting at a table for 15 minutes without even a hello from your waitress does not bode well for a good meal (the host brought us drinks). I assume the reason they are packed when I drive by on my way home from work is because they are convenient and their customers don't understand what good service is; or they just don't care. We'll keep driving past to go some place farther out where we can rely on a waitstaff that knows how to serve their clientele. Didn't even want to give one star but no stars is not an option on Yelp.

Has such potential... worst service ever. I blame the owner/mgr. ... the place does shift change at 6pm in the middle of dinner. Couldn't get anyone's attention for service. We've tried this place several times with the same result. Won't do it again

My wife Andi went there Friday 2/13/15 had dinner and drinks. First of all the bartender CANNOT make the same drink two times the same way, second when we got the bill they tried to charge us for water. When I questioned the waitress she went to the bartender to ask. The answer we got was they will take the 1.00 charge off this time but that is our system. Who charges for water as a mixer!!!!!

Came in and sat down in a booth hear the rear windows. There were no other people in this section of booths. Most were at the bar and a few people were outside. My girlfriend and I ordered two waters, two Piña Coladas, cheesy bread and a large Hawaiian pizza. First, there was practically no rum in the drink. $8 each for overly concentrated piña colada mix. I told the waitress about it VERY NICELY and she said, "there's alcohol in it because I watched her make them." So we didn't drink them and she only made us pay $6 each for them. The proper thing to do is to take them back since we didn't even drink a quarter of them. Oh well. I asked of they had a garlic cream cheese dip like every other place that serves pizza. Nope. The waitress said they have some other type of garlic. I said ok I'll try it. She brings us something made out of goat cheese that she wasn't even what she was referring to. Ugh. When we finally received the pizza after over an hour, it was ok. It was really runny like it had been dipped in water. The pineapple were huge chunks so when you bit into them it sprayed liquid satan-lava juice all over your mouth. Yes, the owner seems arrogant. Had he said anything to us I may have thought otherwise but he was only conversing with the people at the bar who were plastered and kept buying alcohol who in which must have been drinking bottled beer since it's nearly impossible to get drunk from one of their mixed drinks. This is our second visit to this place. The first one was nearly the same. We wanted to give it another chance, but I would recommend going to linden or Fenton to get better food.

As with some others, would rate a 0 if possible on Yelp. This is a restaurant and location that has so much potential. It has a wonderful lake, offering a beautiful view from the deck. It has docks allowing us to pull up by boat for a visit, etc. Potential, however, is all this place ever has had. Instead, same ole, same ole. Arrogant owner, decent food, horrendously long wait times for food. Our visit to Plank's this past weekend was unfortunately typical of our previous visits to Navistarz, the former restaurant here by the same owner. We finally met this owner due to our most recent visit, and he lives up to the name he has made for himself in the surrounding areas. Highly arrogant and quick to first offer excuses, then place blame on his staff. The only thing that was not the same this particular visit was that we had a great waitress. Typically, they are no where to be found, leaving you with an extensive wait all by yourself. She honestly felt awful, kept us full of drinks to help pass the time, etc. She deserves deserves better, and was a a bright spot in an otherwise terrible establishment. If you're OK with 1 1/2-2 hour meal, with the off chance to meet a very snobby owner in the process, this is your place.

Too bad we live on the lake and as the only place around we would love to dine here regularly but we have given this place numerous chances and it is always the same as everyone else has stated. Takes FOREVER for food and drinks. We have had burned shrimp, undercooked, soggy calamari, and we have gotten appetizers the same time as our meal, in general the food is never good and it is expensive, which is ok if its good! The drinks are weak and $8. Curious to why it was reopened under a different name it is the same!?
