Their Bloody Mary is excellent! I get it a tad spicy and am always nervous that a place will 'over' spice but they keep it tame. I'm not a huge fan of my mouth being on fire so this works for me. The server asked all of us what spice level we preferred, if any. There were about 10 of us on this last occasion and I swear, everyone ordered their Mary's slightly different. Waitress and bartender nailed them all! Kudos for that. Onto the food...they have some juicy burgers. All with interesting names referencing the area. I am not a fancy gal so I just snag the bacon cheeseburger. They cook this as ordered and the bacon isn't burnt or soggy. They get another kudos. Oh, and guess what?!!??!! They have fried Mac and Cheese balls!! Woo-Hoo! Love them. Do I dare say, "Another kudos?!" Why yes, I dare. One negative mention though....the waitress we started with (on this last occasion) was awesome, per the usual at this local joint. BUT her shift ended and a new girl came on. This woman walked in and said, "I think I'm still drunk from last night." I thought she was a patron just being obnoxious. Then she proceeds to grab our empty plates. Ummmm....who the hell are you? I had to ask. She was our server! Very unprofessional of her as she made no announcement to us that she even worked there. Not to mention....she was still drunk! This isn't a deal breaker by any means because their food and drinks overrule AND this was an isolated incident. However, it was still off putting. Hopefully, her behavior is noticed and corrected by management. Anyhoo...if you are looking for delicious munchie food, go here! You won't regret it! Oh yeah, grab a Mary too!

Came here late Christmas Day with a couple old friends from high school. Had some beers and some food. Suprisingly tasty bar food for Downriver. Server was friendly and attentive. I would reccomend they turn the blaring top 40 music down a tad though.

By far the absolute best long island ice tea in the entire country. Ches is a great bartender. The food is good bar food. ..Tell them to burn the kielbasa a bit, it is even better. Mini tacos are good. Great brews on draft.

Yay I'm a fan is right. I have been with friends for drinks after work before. The food was good, service was good. The thing that impressed me the most was the lunch specials and pepperoni fries. That's just not right but I'll smash some for dinner. They never disappoint.

Chesley's is a neighborhood bar with the atmosphere of a British pub. It's also attractive to sports fans and biker types as well. Great menu and lunch specials! Convenient location on Fort Street between Southfield and Emmons. Fantastic burgers, once voted "Best in Detroit" by the Detroit News. Be sure to visit the website at chesleysbar.com
