Friend ordered pulled pork, pulled chicken, brisket and ribs for a outside barbecue celebration at his house. Ordered cold and heated up himself on two barbecues in the tins it came in. Everything was very, very awesome. Not one complaint from anyone. Not dry at all. The five sauces were all soooo good! Best barbecue food I had....actually, best dinner I've ever had, and I've eaten out for over 15 years with my traveling job. Next party I have I will be doing the hour drive to get to this place for my food. Wish they were closer or had another place by me. Good job and keep up the good work!

Sorry Bad Brad's. I prefer Danz Bar b Que. Off the bone ribs are yummy! While sauce appears homemade, honestly, smoked meats are so good, it doesn't need sauce! Much more reasonably priced as well.

Just love this place quite a treat and also a great and convenient option when passing thru the area. Excellent service, very tasty food, and reasonable pricing.

Best mom and pop shop in the Detroit area. The staff is incredible, the owner-Goldie, makes you feel like family. Try each of their sauces, try their BBQ and their breakfast and their briskets! It's not a fancy place, very casual, it's part of the charm. If you have time, make the trip to My Place. You will not be disappointed. I will be back!

Not many good places to eat in this area. I'm glad this place is an option. Great brisket! Tater tots and hush puppies are good as well. If you're into donuts: they open at 5am and serve some great, fresh donut goodness.

Although I've never had coffee or doughnuts at this place the BBQ is great. Get the #5! Lots of food and a great price! Try all the sauces, too!

This is actually a review for "Danz Smoked Meats", which shares space (?) with the Donut shop. I've eaten (from) here a number of times and have yet to have a bad meal. The first time I was famished, on my way to the airport and smelled a smoker as I was driving by this place. Got a pulled pork sandwich, and it remains one of the best I've ever had! My family knows how much I like this place, so they recently brought me home a carry-out smorgasbord for my Birthday, which was all top-notch. The Brisket and Pulled Pork were my favorites. The limited seating here is truly meager, and it's a dive, but hell - some of the greatest BBQ joints that I've eaten at in the South are shacks. I don't come here for white linen tablecloths, I come for the SMOKE

Ordered pulled pork and brisket for daughter's HS grad party. Everybody LOVED it. Generous amounts of bbq sauce, of which had lots of leftover. Also lots of leftover pork and brisket that I froze. Two weeks later finally finished it. I now have a smoker and my stuff pales in comparison but the good news is I have a benchmark with which to compare. Hopefully I will get close one day. Big props to Dan, he is the Smoke Man. BTW, the location is in a donut shop just east of I94 at 26 mile, on the north side of the road not far from Meijer store. Do yourself a good solid and go there. You do like yourself, don't you?

This review is more for "Dan'z BBQ". I'd first like to speak to their quick service. We ordered and our food was out in minutes. Beyond that, everything was fantastic. The pulled pork, beef brisket, their sandwiches, etc. all the meat is delicious. The Mac and Cheese is not too much to write home about but it was still very good. The service was quick and friendly. They have something great going on here. If you are anywhere in the area or passing through, stop in and try this place out!!

Man I don't know what this place is trying to pull but I don't like it. I was in the area just yesterday and stopped by her to take a piss and buy something to eat. However when I pulled into the small dirt road parking lot, the store said something about BBQ. In fact there's a sign just down the street that says something about BBQ. I was looking to review a BBQ place on here but couldn't find it. Then I reached in my wallet to find the receipt and what does it say? It says 'My Place Donut & Coffee Shop'. Now I have no choice to give them this shitty review. First off, there was nothing else to eat around here. A Taco Bell, a Subway and a Tim Hortons. Seeing as I had Horton's for breakfast I wasn't ready to go back for lunch. Since I don't eat shit, I skipped Subway and taco bell. I didn't have high expectations for the bbq place but figured they probably had a sandwich or something. So I pulled up and saw a smoker going out in the parking lot. Ok, maybe they got some decent shit going on. I went in and noticed it was empty. The girl at the counter greeted me and was very nice. Gave me a menu and answered my questions. So I ordered a Chicken Sandwich. I thought it would take a while so figured I'd have to wait about 10-15 minutes. Then a couple customers came in. Long story short, a mistake was made and the Owner, probably, came over to fix it. It was a simple internal mistake that only really affected them, not the customers. But seeing the Owner get snippy with the other employees was a turn off. Not that I had a boner or anything. It just seemed rude and the mistake wasn't even a big deal. So I removed myself from the situation and take a piss. I noticed there were tons of seats but no other customers. I come back to the counter and my order is ready, so I thank them and ask one of the employees if they Cater. They said yes but didn't really seem to care to give me much information or make a sale. Not the girl behind the counter but another employee. In fact the chick that took my order was the only person in the store that seemed friendly. I say ok and take my food. I was in a hurry to get home so I rolled out fat guy style, eating the sandwich in my car. First off it was big, like what an $8 sandwich should be. It came with fries and a few pickle slices too. They also put spicy BBQ sauce on it, which in all honesty was one of the very few bright spots. I bit into the sandwich, which for some reason was on a damn onion roll. The chicken was not really hot or even warm for that matter. Worst of all though was that it was dry. I mean sitting there for awhile dry. Since I was starving and the toppings tasted fresh I figured I could tough it out. Half way through the sandwich I got a piece of dried out, stringy chicken. Fuck this. So I put the sandwich back in the box and eat some fries. Fries were salted well but like the sandwich, no where near hot. Barely warm. Ok well at least I got some pickle slices over here. Oddly enough the pickle slices were warm as well. Worst of all though... THEY WERE FUCKING BREAD n BUTTER PICKLES. What kind of a sick fuck, gives you some fucking bread n butter pickles at a fucking bbq joint. Man fuck this shit. No thanks, shitty BBQ. I should have gone to Subway... I hate Subway.
