Nooooo, no, no, no, no, no. I mean it, no. This place is horrible. Total tourist trap. Run. We usually eat breakfast at home or over in Glen Arbor, but we happened to be in Leland recently for breakfast and I now remember why we've avoided this place like the plague for years. It wasn't too busy on the morning we went in, but breakfast for four of us took over an hour to make it to our table. It seems as if the server forgot we existed as once we said something, our food came 10 minutes later. There was literally an entire fresh seating of people served before we got our food. Ridiculous. Corned beef straight out of a can. Over easy eggs cooked to the consistency of hockey pucks. I didn't even KNOW you could cook eggs to that consistency, seriously terrible. Weak coffee. RAW bacon. Literally, raw. Out of four of us, one person got the right toast. Undercooked potatoes. I'm not picky when it comes to breakfast, but I literally ate about 3 bites of mine and pushed it aside. My step-mother took the drastic step of putting ketchup on hers (shocking the entire table, she's never done that before) and still couldn't eat it. Just awful. An extra star for the cinnamon rolls and the nice staff, but do yourself a favor and avoid. If you can't make a simple breakfast correctly, you've got some serious problems.

Great diner breakfast. Corned beef has with eggs is a favorite as are all the breakfast items. Don't miss it!

I love breakfast at the Early Bird. Such a great place to get a delicious, no-nonsense breakfast. Everything is great, but the pancakes are truly amazing. Don't miss the cinnamon rolls, which are related to their famous cousins at the Bluebird Restaurant & Bar next door. The coffee is good, and the hot cocoa shows up with a generous helping of whipped cream. Get there early. No reservations, and at peak breakfast time during tourist season the line for a table goes out the door and into the parking lot. Also open for lunch, but less remarkable fare than what is served for breakfast.

One of the best breakfast's we've ever had! Greek skillet was incredible and my sons eggs Benedict had the thickest and most fresh ham we've tasted.

Had breakfast here after a weekend camping at Lelanau State park in July. We were the second group waiting for a table. There were 4 open tables yet it still took 25 minutes to be seated. Once seated we had to ask for menus after ten minutes, then again 15 minutes later. After we had been seated for 40 minutes no one had taken our order, we had to get out of our seat to bring someone back. Our foot came about 25-30 minutes after ordering, but they still hadn't given us silverware or syrup for the belgian waffle. We asked for silverware and syrup, but ten minutes later they still hadn't given it to us. This entire time no one apologized for the wait or showed any customer service. Overall the entire experience took hours longer than it should have. I would avoid this place if you can.

This place is breakfast Heaven on Earth. We actually ended up eating there 2 days in a row and ordered the same thing, because it was so good. Our orders were delivered very quickly and the portions were quite large. I ordered coffee and was pleasantly surprised when they brought me an entire insulated carafe full of coffee. The wait staff was very pleasant, prompt and courteous.

We had breakfast there before our trip to North Manitou island last friday. - Great bacon - Quick service - Good price (rare in Leelanau) - Great bacon

Food was marginal. The potatoes were very salty. Kids portions were tiny tiny and still cost seven dollars.

Average Diner. Slow Service.

The food was good. The server was very nice. The only issue was that they don't accept credit cards. We had to run to the ATM to get cash. Not a HUGE deal but would prefer to be able to pay with a CC.
