Only giving this 2 stars. The food was good. What was so disappointing was the waiter. When we first got there they were not busy. And even then she didn't come back to refill our drinks or check on us. We had a fly flying around us the whole time and could not get any assistance. Maybe moving us would of worked.. The service was so slow after trying to get our waitress attention I gave up and walked over to another one and asked if we could please get refills. We didn't get deserts today we opted to leave for that and go to DQ!

Not bad. Came here with friends for dinner. Food was not bad, but not the best ever. Waitress was mostly competent, but disappeared for long periods of time. The restaurant was not busy at all, which was concerning considering it's a holiday weekend, and most other restaurants in the area (including Applebee's of all places) were crazy busy! I think my favorite part of the meal was the freshly baked bread delivered to the table, yum! Had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. One of our friends loved them, I was not overly impressed. The shrimp seemed overcooked to me. I'd be willing to give this place another try, as it wasn't awful, just mediocre.

Friendly service, delicious Monterey Chicken, and reasonably priced! Will definitely stop by next time I'm in the area!

Complete disappointment. Walked out prior to even being seated. Unlike it's sister restaurant, Luckys, the Blindfish has no regard for customer service. I hate to sound like a bitchy, ignorant, and over deserving yelper but, I feel like my family was completely neglected and forgotten. While waiting for a table there were two families of the same size seated prior to my family, even though they arrived later. Mind you, there are no reservations at the blind fish. When approached, the hostess had no explanation and appeared completely incompetent. This incompetence can be traced back to the management which trained the poor hostess. If you do gamble on attending, expect disappointment.

Have visited many times, most of the food is pretty good, I love their ckn scalopinni and blackened mahi mahi. I love that they have steak in their kids menu because my kids are carnivores! Service is good. Great value, you get a ton of food at a great price. It's the best restaurant in lapeer hands down.

Came here for the first time tonight! My husband and I had a fantastic evening. It was a Sunday and there was a short wait..I loved how the hostess was very nonchalent about it will "not be long" considering we were a bit concerned about the lack of parking. We had a couple of drinks at the bar and the service was quick and the drinks were strong and our pager went off before we finished. Our Waitress was Lindsay and she was fantastic.... attentive, made conversation, had personality and was quick to recommend anything we asked. Menu selections were brilliant..pretty much any seafood and surf and turf combination you could ask for..pleasing even my non-seafood lover husband. We had the mussels and calamari to start...both fantastic and portions HUGE. Prices cheap compared to may restaurants in the area. We gave it 4 stars ONLY because I had ordered my prime rib RARE and it came out Medium and I know that the chef should of communicated with the server that he could not do a rare piece of meat.....no biggie because my crab leg addition were a pound and that was enough and they took care of the price difference without any hesitation..I was expecting the normal LB price charge for crab legs but they only charged me the add on. Atmosphere was ok. More of a golden corral type atmosphere with the servers being over dressed, but whatever....the food was great, the servie was fantastic...we will be back. Worth the 30 minute drive. Did I mention the bread?? Yes...it was amazing.

Great place food fixed as ordered with great people serving,,,, keep up the great work

As good as I remember, and we only got the potato skins appetizer and two salads for take out. Large portions, adequate prices, and very attentive wait staff...even for waiting take out customers. Potato skins were large and filling. Salads were delicious. Nothing really to complain about, and will update accordingly when I come back. I loved this place when we would come up with my parents. I haven't been back since my dad passed away, and was sad to see it closed, but happy when I found out it moved to a larger location and is thriving.

On a Sunday after entertaining allllllllllllllll weekend long, hubby and I were ready for a break and this girl wanted some crab. We didn't dress up much, but I put on a summer dress and hubby got into a decent shirt. When we entered the joint, we discovered that we were WAY over dressed compared to the rest of the patrons. We waited for about 10 minutes for a hostess to seat us but were quickly greeted by our server, who was very pleasant. We ordered a surf and turf meal to share which came with salad but also ordered an appetizer. Unfortunately, the appetizer came out with the meal. The steak was cooked very nicely, hubby thought it needed a little bit more seasoning but overall it was good. The crab was completely delicious! We ate ourselves full and still had leftovers. The meal was $22.99 and the crab cake appetizer (which we didn't eat bc it came out so late) was $8 or $9.

Have only been here once and ate in the bar area. Atmosphere was nice and the servers were friendly...Carin especially. She recommended the fish tacos and they were exceptional. I'd never had them before but she convinced me and clearly knows her food...

This is a live review!! Currently I am waiting now 15 minutes to get a beer. But first, to give a bit of history. When I came in tonight, I asked for a booth in the bar and the hostess was very accommodating. She hurried to clear and clean off the table. She was great. So, back to now...I have been sitting here and just now got my beer after ohhhhh...18 minutes. The waitress is awkward and apparently likes to talk about herself to the old man who sits in the booth in front of me and watches her intently as she speaks, all the while certainly wishing he was a young man again. The bar is lively and I wish I would've sat there. I ordered the coconut shrimp. It's one of my favorite items on the menu. I hope I get to eat soon, I'm starving!! They do give you a bag of bread just in case your starving... But I don't eat that so much. It does smell good though...ok, just a small piece. Yeah, the bread is yummy. Served with a side of soft whipped butter. Here's the Coconut Shrimp!! Hot, crisp, and good. The coconut batter is a little heavy, but they are still good. So overall all was good. Early waitress issues sets this visit at a three instead of a 4.

For Lapeer, this is about as good as it gets. The bread is amazing! I always get a Fillet

I came here with a friend for lunch today for the first time and it will probably be my last. Our server was completely useless to say the least. The food could have saved it had it been good but no even that was too much. My friend ordered lambchops cooked medium. They came well done. I ordered steak and crab. My steak was cooked a perfect medium but was somehow the driest steak I have ever eaten and the texture was revolting. I was unaware that a restaurant could order such low grade beef. The crab was good but I would have loved to have had the lemon I asked for three times. The only good thing I can say (although this doesn't matter to me one bit) the portions were quite large. If you don't mind choking down the food you certainly won't leave hungry. My suggestion, save your money and go somewhere else.

Fish isn't fresh but probably best you can find in town. Fries were ice cold and our wait time was ridiculous. Salad and bread came out fast but we had 50 minutes between salad and our meal and the place was nearly empty. Sad, went once before and really enjoyed it. Menus and tables are greasy and need to be cleaned.

I like this place. In this area, there are not a lot of options for seafood so this place usually quells my occasional seafood craving. First off, let me say that I preferred the previous incarnation of this restaurant which was located about 1/4 mile down the street. It felt a lot more quaint and homey. Now it's got that corporate feel to it. Oh well. Not a really big deal. So lets start with the negatives: The front lobby. What? Who in the heck designed this space? I am puzzled every time I walk in here to see people standing around in absolutely no order or fashion. This is due to the fact that the "waiting" area is just a huge, empty square. There are two little chairs. Two. And they sit against the wall like an afterthought or accident. It's so weird. The room is like 40 x 40 so you can have like 50 people standing there. Standing. Just really strange. Okay, so once your buzzer...buzzes, and you are lead back to your table, you might have already noticed the waitresses. They are extremely unprofessional. Not rude....just unprofessional. You can see them goofing around, giggling, talking on their phones at the hostess station....its just in bad form. Your actual server may or may not be one of these gals, but trust me...they are not going to be very helpful. They are rarely ever able to answer my questions. I had one girl who said "I don't eat seafood, so I don't know" when I asked if she could recommend one of two specials. So the waitstaff and infrastructure leave a lot to be desired. But the food can be brilliant at times (not so much at other times...but never bad). I usually order some kind of seafood and it's generally pretty tasty. Last time I was there, I had crab legs but they were soggy :(. I HATE that. It's so hard to crack a soggy crab leg. My absolute FAVORITE thing on the menu is their fish tacos. It's under appetizers but it's MORE than enough for an entree and they are fabulous! All-in-all, it's an okay place. We will keep coming back here until something better springs up in the area. I'll still come here for the fish tacos.

Wow. what can I say... The Blind fish has relocated across from apple bees. I took my dad here for his birthday and was greatly disappointed. I remember the old restaurant being pretty good. I don't know if its under new management or not but, the food quality has gone down the tubes. Nothing we ordered was made from scratch. I'm pretty sure all the food was bought from GFC "Gordon food service" My dads gravy was the nasty brown stuff from a can or box and the mash potatoes were of some processed consistency. I would consider the new relocation a fancy coney island. Save your self a couple bucks and go to Brains or Apple tree. Another thing i noticed was a manager of some type kept touching and flirting with the staff in the entrance way to the kitchen. Kind of tacky for the Monday night atmosphere. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating.

I have to say, the stuffed salmon was delish!! And the bread was just amazing.... !!

Damn fine food and the bar service is great! Been here twice and will certainly come back the next time I'm in town. Great lobster tail, crab legs and coconut shrimp!

My new favorite Lapeer restaurant! The bread is delicious, great drinks and apps, and the Maryland chicken was fantastic! My husband got the stuffed salmon and was also very pleased. A great date-night spot for sure. We have gone 3 times since it opened and have not been disappointed yet!

Really there is one dish that always stood out to me - the fettucini alfredo with broccoli and other veggies. I cannot say how many times I ate this while pregnant (or what it did to my thighs) but WOW. I recommend taking the food to go though, as I did not enjoy eating in because of how close the bar was to the rest of the eating and the smoke really sucked the fun out of it. My boyfriend did not like the beer selection but thought the food was pretty good.

This is a very nice family restaurants. And of course one of my main concern kid friendly. As for the food, very good grant it certain times I've been here I have left with a so so kind of feeling but all in all very good food. I have to recommend the chicken parm. Which is funny going to a fish seafood restaurant. I leave the seafood to the better half.

Been in Lapeer for quite a few years. The name says it all. Fish and seafood is the specialty. Other entrees available. Good quality and ambiance

We've tried this restaurant on several occasions. The bar is superb. A great place to relax have a wonderful conversation with friends and a perfect Martini. We always enjoy the mussels and several of the entrees. And, yeah, the breadsticks are awesome!

Blind fish is a pretty good place. It's another 'upper scale' restaurant we have here in Lapeer. It has a low light atmosphere, which really sucks if you come after dark. You can't really seem too much of what's goin on. I'd with out a doubt go before dark. But that's just me. Service is dandy. The place gets super busy and they try their best. Bread sticks are good. I like their salads. Now, if you're a seafood fan, you'd love this place. The fishes are good, shrimp are juicy, and the crab/lobster is fresh. From what I hear. I'm not a seafood fan! Blind fish is blind! They have great non seafood items too! The pasta is really good. My favorite though, is the chicken strips. They are tender, good portions of meat, and they breading is way crispy, and very flavorful. That's all I have been getting for years. Their cheesecake is amazing too. It's a no bake cheesecake, topped with strawberries. It's so rich, fluffy, and creamy. Blind fish is an over all restaurant good for dates, friends, and family :)

When we come to this restaurant we were surprised that it wasn't as busy it usually is. We were greeted right away and drinks ordered. My draft Killian's came to the table in a frosted glass with the top of my brew a little slushy. Perfect! Now my kids and friends love their chicken tenders. They are some of the best in the area. I ordered the stuffed shrimp and the coconut shrimp. The stuffed shrimp were huge and delicious. The coconut shrimp were also jumbo but were overcooked. Not terrible, just a little overdone. No, it didn't stop me from eating them. The shrimp were so big that I never touched my fries. Our waitress was very attentive and was very fast when we had any request for beverages, bread or extra sauces. Really do enjoy this restaurant.

My wife and I had the wedge salads for starters and then crab legs, lobster tail, & shrimp. The complementary bread and wedge salad is always good here. Lobster was a bit rubbery but everything else was great! Lucky's Ale was awesome and the wife enjoyed her Raspberry Martini. We ate late on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too busy. Clean and great service!

Meh. We're low on "dining-out" options in Lapeer. In a bigger town with more options, I'd probably never go here again. BUT, we're not in a bigger town and we don't have more options, so among the limited restaurant selections available, it's not bad. The good: Pre-meal breadsticks are really amazing, hot and seasoned and delicious, accompanied by whipped butter(!). Soups are very nice; I have only tried the seafood chowder (great) but my family has tried the cream soups and they give positive reviews. For the most part, the fish is of good quality, well-cooked, and the quantity is off the hook - I like grilled salmon and they usually give me enough to feed 3 people! I usually eat it all by myself though. The bad: I only have two big gripes. The first is that nearly every menu item (seafood, at least) comes drenched in some kind of gooey cream sauce. If you actually want to see what you are eating, order your sauce on the side. They ladle it on like gravy. The other gripe is the service. The wait staff is friendly enough but JUST friendly enough. I wonder about the management because everyone always seems very blase' and a little bit sloppy. I haven't encountered anything really BAD from them but I just get the feeling like they all hate their jobs and don't care if I live or die. The same corporation also owns Lucky's Steakhouse in Imlay City and I think the management must be better because everyone there is happy and friendly and attentive, and the food is better too. Overall, it's not bad, considering that your "night out" options in Lapeer are limited.

The salad was good. The bread was good. I ordered "grouper" but it was not grouper. I was not charged for it. The waitress said they've had others that have said the same thing I did. I knew it wasn't grouper just by how it looked, flat as a pancake. The purchasing manager should know what grouper is and refuse to buy from that supplier. People who order fish usually know how it tastes and how it should look.
