A fan since the early 2000's. Quality does vary by location. The variety in style of burgers is nice. The ingredients are on par with Applebees, Chilli's etc. So no, it's not farmers market fresh but it's whole food. They are known for their bottomless fries and freckled lemonade for a reason. They're friggin good! They make a nice cocktail too. Seasoned fries are my favorites but the sweet potato fries give other chain burger joints a run for their money. My only critique is the meat, it's not seasoned well. It's more like filler for the rest of the ingredients. Having great cheese, buns and sauces makes up for it but I can definitely make a better tasting burger at home. I do order turkey burgers or chicken sandwiches so I am reviewing those only. I lied, my other critique are the dessert options, they're limited and mostly chocolate or dairy. Service is fast and depends on the location but I haven't had poor service at any Red Robin. Mediocre maybe but not even in my bottom 10. If you're in the mood for great fries, great lemonade, a decent burger, especially if you don't trust a diner in a business town, have Red Robin.

Would give a zero if I could...paid $9.79 a burger the size of of a McDonald's quarter pounder, was supposed to be loaded with bacon...had 3 strips...never been so dissapointed in a meal

I love a good burger! My wife, not much of a carnivore, had a rare laps from the routine and wanted one as well. But not really. Thank you Red Robin for having great chicken options. She went with the whiskey river bbq chicken sandwich. Tangy bbq sauce, moist chicken breast, and crispy onion straws. Perfect sandwich. I tried the double tavern burger. Solid burger, good taste. Noticeably smaller then the typical gourmet burger offered. Really fast friendly service, thank you Michael! All together good!

Red Robin's not all that they are cracked up to be. I've been going to this franchise for about 2 years now because my kid likes their burgers. However, I have not been all that excited about their service or their food. This last vist Sunday made me just hit a wall with this franchise and I won't be back. I'll break this down by topic/expeirnces: 1. Service Every time we've gone the serving and greeting staff seemed confused. I've noticed that there tends to be a hoard of them standing around, running back and forth or standing at the kitchen "counter" waiting on orders while talking over the food. When they come to your table most are generous enough, regular questions "what do you want to drink"... no one asks if you want appetizers EVER. Then off they go to get the drinks and they come back when the app is done. Now we ALWAYS order the Spinach and Artichoke dip. Every single time it's come back COLD. I've had to send it back to the kitchen to be nuked. Why is that? When something is supposed to be HOT it should come to the table hot. Famous bottomless fries are a joke. We've had one server over the past year and a half actually keep the fries coming to the table WITHOUT having to be asked! Every single time, when we are half way through our meal and the burgers getting cold we've had to hunt down the server and request more fries. More often than not our burgers are cold or someone's chosen to go ahead and eat it waiting. When they do come to the table their either too late or stale cause they've been sitting on the counter for far too long! Why should we have to do that? If you advertise bottomless fries, have the servers be on top of their game and bring them. What' interesting is that they don't forget to fill up your drink orders. This is obviously done to encourage filling you up with monster size beverages instead of fries! Taste: The burgers to be truthful or "okay" not the most taste bud tantilizing. It seems as though all of the different toppings is what attracts customers to Red Robin not necessarily the quality of the burgers. They are not that flavorful. I've had their salads and soups and again, not all that much to write home about. If customers knew that half of their menus are prepackaged then maybe the hoopla would die down? Ambiance: This is a HUGE turn off. Too many screaming kids. What is it with this place and kids? I love children don't get me wrong but this resturant seems to be a magnet for the loud, screaming, running around kind. The TV's that they have in the place can't be heard and it seems is always on a sports channel. The staff are constantly running around, it honeslty reminds me of chuckie cheese when I think about. Let's not mention the birthday clapping, screaming, songs!!! ugh! The only way I'd find any worth in that is if it were my birthday and I got a free meal! Not happening! The booths are nice but the tables are not comfortable and the design of the resturant is awful when trying to navigate how to leave the resturant because it's so packed with tables, chairs, staff and customers coming and going. Cost: TOO MUCH MONEY BEING SPENT ON FOOD AND SERVICE THAT IS NOT HIGH QUALITY for what they charge. If I were going to walk away spending $30+ for this meal I'd expect service like you'd get from HOULIGHANS. Quality food, service and ambiance. NOT this next step up from Wendy's. KITCHEN IS NASTY!!!! I'd like to finally add another aspect of Red Robin's subpar experiences: THE KITCHEN and it's lack of cleanliness. On the past 2 visits within the same year 2015, last visit on March 22, 2015. The kitchen has/was atrocious and made me NOT want to ever go there again. This is actually why I am writing this review. We walked past the kitchen upon leaving and there were papers, grime and food ALL over the floor, not only in THE KITCHEN (food prep area) but also along the strip where food is picked up to bring to the tables! That is unacceptable. I felt sick when I walked by and saw that. What's up with the cleanliness?? In my opinion there are enough staff to clean, serve and greet guests at this restaurant! The staff look like worker bees there are so many, why isn't that kitchen kept clean?! I felt like asking for my money back but was side tracked by the number of numb looking waiting/greeting staff who watch you walk out, starring at you, in your face, not smiling or saying a word. That was something that put us off for good as well. Where are your customer service skills? Reb Robin has seen the last of my presence and money. I am done with their franchise. They need to do a lot better in so many areas. I am not asking for perfection, I am asking for quality service that MIGHT make the food taste a bit better. FYI: I have family members that work for and with WOLFGANG PUCK and who are managers at upscale restaurants IN MICHIGAN and out of Michigan. Therefore I am very familiar with the resturant business.

A great variety of food, very quick service and talented wait staff. What I like about Red Robin is not only are the burgers great and very customizeable, but they also have great chicken sandwiches, salads, soups and drinks. I love their new Berry Limeade. DELISH. The service is always very quick - I don't think we've ever waited for a table. Food comes quickly too, and the waitstaff really knows how to time things. They check back on you, but not so much that you're irritated. I do have to defend their fries. They are large steak fries, and they're not for everyone, but if you sprinkle some of their seasoning salt on them and dip them in ranch, they are delightful. Plus, I found out that you can order fries (at no cost) with any meal you have. Even salad or soup. They're like breadsticks there. I wouldn't recommend the place for a nice evening out, as they serve lots of groups and kids. You are guaranteed to hear them sing Happy Birthday at least twice while you're there.

The burger I chose was the "Royal Red Robin" with the fried egg on it. It was a first for me, but I'm glad I got it because it was awesome! What a wonderful thing to put on a burger! :) Big portions for the price...left full and happy!

I went last night for the first time. Server never came back to the table once we were served. I got the mushroom burger. It was overcooked and dry. No condiments at this place???? I tried to get our waiter back and was told repeatedly they would get him but he never showed up until our bill came. Oh, he came back once, to bring the order to go that I wanted at the END of the meal. I hadn't even started eating yet!! I asked him to bring me a fresh one when I paid and he said they would keep it warm then left without it. The order to go was over done, and the bun was not toasted as requested. We were never offered endless fries, and I didn't know they had them until I came here today. I wont go again, not worth the $50

Bottomless sides! I usually get the Red's Tavern Double with BBQ sauce and the crispy onion straws. affordably priced at $7. since sides are bottomless that is usually more that enough to fill me up. Main reason I didn't give it 4 stars is that service seems to be better if you avoid mealtimes (roughly 6-8:30pm), our experiences have been rather dismal during those times. We're talking 30+ minute waits for food (even if we order when the server first comes), no drinks or lack of refills, appetizer arriving with/after the meal, can't find our server to pay the bill type stuff. So if you're looking for somewhere to eat between 9-11pm it's affordable and tasty. Nice place to catch up with friends since you have the option of endless sides.

Oh red robin. Your burgers and strawberry lemonade are awesome but the place is a little crazy as some others have pointed out. You go in, and it's always got a crowd, so that's good and bad. Expect a lot of noise and perpetuating chaos while you dine. I will say though their food is consistent and sometimes all you want is a juicy burger and bottomless fries. I would give it 4 stars based on that but took a star away Bc the service here is VERY hit or miss. Good place to go with your family if you have kids. But probably not the best if you are looking for a place for deep convos.

Quick summary: Slightly above mediocre, overpriced, and over run by kids. To start out, I'll admit I was dragged to Red Robin. I also had my concerns that we were the only table within sight that was under 65 or not accompanied by a minor. 3 birthday clap sessions broke out while we were eating. The good: Smoke & Pepper burger was prepared to order and the upgrade to sweet potato fries was worth it. The burger was fresh and seasoned, even if a bit greasy. The server was competent, but she also had the vacant look one occasionally sees in the eyes of Chuck E Cheese employees. The bad: 2 burgers, 1 beer, 1 softdrink and tip = $50.60. This place was chosen by our friends who had twins the same hour as we had our twins 16 months ago. It was chosen for it's "kid friendly" atmosphere. I have to say it is very kid-friendly. The decor is hodgepodge, with some paintings having light up sections that seemed to keep our kids interested in staring at the walls and not flinging food. The menu includes several kid options, which was great, but our boys ended up wanting mostly the fries, and our friends' kids wanted to eat ketchup. The food was good, a little salty, but what you would expect for the price you pay. And they were quick to bring out another order of mac & cheese when some of the kids needed a refill. They kept our drinks refilled and checked up on us frequently. I really liked the fact that nobody seemed perturbed by the fact that we were passing around babies & the babies were passing around chicken. Sometimes flinging.

Red Robin (Yummmmm!) Okay, so it's a little hokey, but I dig it. Solo diner (again), arrived during prime dining time (6ish PM), saw it was quite crowded but did not wait to be seated. Greeted pleasantly and taken to an elevated "booth-for-two" which was in a busy section near the kitchen. But it's okay, it gave me something to look at. I could see staff interacting with each other, communicating their needs and receiving assistance when asked. Service was prompt and accurate. I thought the burger could use a little salt, but since I am being treated for high blood pressure, I skipped the salt shaker. I like that they refill your fries if you ask, so I got a full order of fries to take home with me. Huge menu, big variety, great drinks. The restaurant was very busy so I think service was paying more attention to the needs of customers and not picking up - the floor needed attention, tho not a big deal. Food was coming out of the kitchen like gangbusters. Quite noisy there, in a good way - lots of child customers, which I usually enjoy. Red Robin is a little expensive: $12.38 for a mushroom-swiss burger, fries and coke. Worth it to me because I took half of it home. It will be my dinner again tonight.

Took a field trip today with the parents to Lansing and stopped at Red Robin for lunch. Last time I was at one was for my 16th birthday...as my mom so lovingly reminded me with tales of that day. WOW, she has a great memory! We got a table immediately and our server was pleasant and quick without that annoying hovering many servers do thinking that equates to taking care of customers, thus warranting a bigger tip. Our appetizer was a tower of onion rings which were crunchy, tasty and just all around bad for the arteries...so make sure you order one! YUM! (comes with two dips). I ordered the tasty banzai burger marinated in teriyaki & topped with pineapple, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I ordered the burger without mayo because I was concerned about my heart. Burgers come with a side of fries that are plain tasting. I discovered after woofing down my burger that Red Robin has wheat buns, just not advertised on the menu. I definitely would swap out the yellow white bun for whole wheat. Lots of interesting photos on the wall that catch the wondering eye. My favorite was the black and white of john & bobby Kennedy.

Great place for kids, we have a 4 and 1 yo. Food is good, and they give you all you can eat fries. Great lunch.
