Whenever I'm in Lansing, there are two places I'll consider getting food. Jersey Giant (any of them) is one, and the other... well, that's another review. You'll recognize the routine if you've ever been to a Jersey Mike's. Same idea, place your order at the meat slicer, move to the next station and tell 'em what you want on it, move on down and get your drinks/chips/cookies, then pay. First of all, the bread is fresh, soft, and the crust is perfect. Not too hard or thick. You order from a menu on the wall that lists each sandwich and its ingredients, by number. Probably the most popular sub is the #8,or Jersey Giant. It's my family's favorite, but to be honest, I've not had a bad sandwich from this place yet. I've been coming here for about 20 years now. When I was younger, I could eat 1 1/2 #8 subs, but these days, that same amount is plenty to feed my family of four--sometimes with leftovers. The cheese and meat are sliced at the time you order (none of this pulling the meat and cheese out of a wax paper wrap). If you want to sound like a local when you stop in, learn these phrases: "Straight" - includes lettuce, onion, tomatoes, Italian dressing, and spices. "All the way" - Straight + peppers. They do offer mayo and/or mustard if you prefer, but I've never been able to figure that out. Unless you hate Italian dressing, you really should try it with or you're just not getting the best sub in town. Basically, the sub is created before your eyes at your direction. And to even suggest that the chains even come close to the flavors you'll find at JG is misleading. Other subs are bland and tepid. Besides, if you don't like your sub, call me, I'll be happy to finish it.

My kid and I both love Jersey Giant, and she's a picky teen. Just walking in there makes your mouth water. Service is great, the kids who work there are friendly, and Britt (owner) makes sure things get done right. Very good food.

This place is where the real sandwiches are at! This location has been a West Lansing/Waverly fixture for years, and you will figure out why after one experience, here. First, the subs are amazing. They are big, fresh, stuffed, and delicious, The quality of the products surpasses the big sub chains in town, and the extra cost of the sub is worth what you get. The staff is very friendly, and their awesomeness makes people come back. In addition, the restaurant's atmosphere is very clean and inviting - even during the frantic lunch rush. The business is VERY supportive of the local schools and charities, which definitely helps draw in the locals.

I love their subs! The bread is soft and fresh and the meats are so much better then Subway!!

This is where you'll find the best sub sandwich in town...or anywhere for that matter. The bread is, quite simply, amazing. This really makes the sandwich and it never disappoints. I've been a faithful gianteer for over 15 years and once you try it you'll see why. The topping selection is limited, but in a good way. The real focus is the bread and meat. You could probably share these 18 inch sandwiches, but ordering your own allows extra for second lunch. They cater and are one of those businesses that care about the schools, charity, and the community at large. A real family run business in its 4th generation of expansion. Give it a try if you're looking for a quality lunch or a great sandwich for after work.

Most of my Lansing peeps prefer this place over a Subway any day. I gave them a try and it's nothing like Subway. The taste of their sandwiches taste more like a real sandwich and not that Subway sandwich taste. I shared a sizable, made to order turkey sandwich with my friend and her kid. There was a whole piece left for another hungry adult. Their meat wasn't salty, the bread was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. They have most sandwich and sub places beat on bang for the buck because the size is enormous and you can get full without a pop and chips.

Ordered "The Boss". Instant fan. I think it was an 18" . I thought it was a good deal and will be back often.

The best sub sandwiches in town. This store specifically knows what they're doing. Costs a little more than Subway, but it's worth it for the taste and their massive size. Anytime I'm in Lansing I love to stop in for lunch or dinner.

I have been eating here almost my entire life and I have never been disappointed. Ever. Their wheat bread is literally THE best I have ever had. They don't have as many toppings as a lot of other places, but they are a great local business who supports the community. Local business, hurrah!

I used to love this place. The sub's are excellent, but unfortunately the last few times I have ate there, I ended up getting sick. I have a suspicious feeling its from the onions, but I haven't taken the chance since. You would probably be OK if you nixed the onion, but I likes onion on my sandwich's, and I don't like to the idea of limiting my topping choices, so I haven't been back in about 3 months.
