I've been going here for years! I love all the different varieties of bread. Right when you enter the store, they offer you a sample of bread, muffin, or cookie. One of my favorite items in the store is pumpkin muffin and the banana muffin. They are so soft, moist and filled with flavor. At lunch, they have a box lunch special. It includes a sandwich, chips, cookie and a pop. I still need to buy a loaf of challah bread because I want to use it to make French toast. When I was in the store they had pizza bread. It was cold. But I kept thinking if it was hot, right out of the oven, with some marinara sauce it would be even better.

The W. Saginaw store is ok probably because I live close by and its convenient but not impressed with service on many occasions. This past Christmas I stopped in to make a purchase. There were several customers in the store, one of which was an very elderly gentleman. When after making his purchase he asked for a sample, he was told there were no samples available because the space usually occupied with the free samples was being used for an extra cash register! REALLY??? It seems to me that Chritmas would be a GREAT time to showcase as much of your product by way of samples as possible? Afterall, there are lots of shoppers out and a perfect time to attract even more business. I left the store Thinking to myself, "You make room to take in more money, but offer nothing to your faithful and regular customers, even more important, your potentially new customers". Hmmmmmm You might want to try the Okemos store...It seems to be much more generous with their samples and offers a "help yourself" tray of cookies regularly. They go out of their way to be helpful. Lots of product not found at the W Saginaw store...Its worth the drive!!

Average place.. Breadsmiths have better breads and pastries, but this place has better service! I tried a cinnamon loaf, a multigrain bread and a chocolate chip cookie. Both the loaf and the bread was very chewy. Ok taste, but I didn't care for the chewyness.

Went in a few weeks ago and tried the honey wheat, apple crisp bread, and a turtle scone. The bread was very moist and hearty, so much better than store bought wheat. The scone was much more moist than traditional scones, almost like a big cookie and that was very good. But the best part was the apple crisp bread. It was literally like eating an apple pie in bread form. The customer service was also great. I will definitely be back.

Very disappointing experience. The associate could not tell me what, if any, of the fresh breads they had for that day. I tried a cranberry nut muffin that tasted like cardboard. Had to through it away. She offered me a taste of cinnamon bread, and it was doughy, not baked long enough. However, the coffee was tasty, and the associate was pleasant.
