Dark and dingy decor. On my way to airport and wanted something before I got there. BAD CHOICE! Ordered the half Reuben and cheesy potato ham soup. Soup was better than the sandwich, but not that great. Waitress was up selling more than anything else. I understand that she was doing her job but I found it annoying. The sandwich was dry and if that was marbled rye then what I have known as marbled rye all these years was wrong! The meat seemed to have been grilled and then put on the grill. If I ever return to Michigan, I'll make sure I steer clear of Findley's.

Definitely a fan of Finley's. I didn't think I would, but Finley's does so many things right. The staff is friendly, they serve you bread as soon as you're seated (which, by the way, is excellent!) and they have a great menu. I've tried: -the fried chicken salad w/ Caesar dressing, awesome -the ribs, fairly good (considering it's not a bbq place) -the ranch wrap without tomatoes (if you're not sure what to order, definitely get this, it's delicious)

We had the balsamic ranch salmon lunch version. Make sure you get the lunch price. We didn't the first time our check came. Service was good. Good was on time and cooked perfect. We've had good service before here. The menu is a simple steakhouse menu but they are keeping it fresh with new items! There's fresh baked bread, even for lunch. I like there side salad. Great for healthy eating and not so healthy eating depending on what you want. Coupons are usually easy to find. Free steak for your birthday. Kids eat free Monday's and Tuesdays!

I used to love Finleys, lately... Went there a few weeks ago & ordered 3 meat BBQ. The meat portions were extremely small, also the meat was extremely dry. FFW: 3 weeks. Went there last night. Both bread plates were visibly dirty (cheese caked on one). Waitress walked away with them silently after I showed them to her, like I had inconvenienced her. Entree 1: Portobello Mac & cheese, portobellos were added after preparation completely uncooked. Brought it to the managers attention, I was completely put off when the manager corrected me to say they were undercooked instead of uncooked (she was wrong). Manager politely returned with new dish that was good. Entree 2: Medium rare prime rib. Look at the pic, it's medium well, tasted old, and reheated, probably a day or 2 old, no taste of seasoning. Potato was the size of a tennis ball... Man, what happened to Finleys?

Cuban sandwich was awesome! Smokey meat, sliced dill pickles and melted cheese...so good! I wish I could say the same for the chicken sandwich was more like boiled chicken tenderloin tossed in bow with a tablespoon of red onion on a bun, that's it which lacked any kind of bbq favor or substance. If the chips were thicker cut and had some salt, they could be a great side! Unfortunately, they were super thin which made them taste like nothing but grease and flavorless without any salt. Final verdict, there's room for improvement but in the meantime try the Cuban if you're looking at sandwiches!

Wow, I had to try the new look of Finleys Smokehouse......It seems like BBQ Is all the rage in lansing now, And finleys stands up to the challange. I had the babyback ribs,,The wait wasn't too long. The food was hot and juicy, the meat fell off the bone. I had the beans, and the mac n cheese on the side. it was all killer...The service was great too. Keep up the goid work guys.

The new look Findley's is excellent. The BBQ is awesome and I love the Cuban Sandwich. Tons of Michigan Beer, well done. Here's the crazy part. The old Findleys had the wrap of being the place that all the old folks hung out, kind of the hometown Bill Knapp. Guess what, They're still there and why not. Good food at a reasonable price.

I thought it was overpriced for what you get. My kid is a vegetarian and I ordered potato skins w/ out bacon. But I saw bacon under one skin so it seemed like they were premade and then they just took the bacon off. My brisket was cold and not very good. I would only give one star but their craft beer selection is outstanding. Going to be a while before we go there again.

I had the beef brisket last night and it was awful, a lot of fat and grease and boring no cheese no sauce of any kind just a dry burger bun. The best part were the side dishes. Get it together Findlay's I know you can do better.

Did takeout order almost the whole meal was wrong. Do not get chicken, they do not know how to cook chicken well done. Thank goodness I check food or I could have died. This is the second time this has happened at this location. U are better off cooking at home, at least safer.

Finleys is a favorite of mine, with the dollar beers, two dollar margaritas, free meal on your birthday and most-amazing caesar salads! They have done a few things to draw business back in with the pricing on alcohol and their entrees. Service is always quick and friendly, food is prepared well and to order and pricing is very fair for what you get. Like I said above, I'd recommend trying the Caesar- whether for a meal or a side- the dressing is likely the most amazing caesar I've ever had! If you're on this side of town- go here instead of Applebees- it's better!

Finleys, by far, is my absolute favorite restaurant. Firstly lets talk about their food (my favorite part!) Their BBQ ribs with the sweet sauce is to die for. Their backyard BBQ burger is delicious also. Probably my two favorites. Next it would be their stakes, BBQ chicken, and other burgers (I've tried everything) Their bread and butter is unlimited and I eat at least 4 loafs. Now their service. I've been eating here for a good 10 years. The staff is always friendly and prompt. I have only had maybe, 2 bad experiences out of the many times I have been here. I don't complain though because they always resolve the issue with either offering a free meal or they will take money off the bill. They know me and my parents well because of how long we have been going here. When I call to place an order they already know what to expect. Someone complained about not having vegetarian food. Well yeah that's true but Finley's is an American GRILL. They don't claim to have it, nor should you expect that from a place advertising GRILL.

We were pleasantly suprised after our visit to Finleys My husband had a coupon for a free growler bottle with a $10 purchase, and the availability of 25 MIchigan brewed beers was to much for him to pass up. Our dinners (ribs for me and Tilipia for him) were both very good. You also get free bread with your meal, which was nice. The service was very good also. They have happy hour all day, and the craft beers were reasonably priced. You can have your growler refilled anytime for $12 which is a great deal! Overall, we recommend Finleys and we'll be going back.

there is literally nothing vegetarian on the menu except for like bread and a side of broccoli. so i wouldn't recommend coming here unless you like big huge chunks of flesh. also don't come here if you like microbrews, because they don't have any. that being said, the service was good, prices were fair, and the food was decent. although my partner felt insanely ill an hour after eating here...hmmm....

This place has hands down the worst food ever. I am a very easy going not picky person so it's hard to disappoint me. They say they are known for the Prime Rib which my boyfriend got and it was horrible. I got a burger which I think is hard to screw up but somehow they screwed it up it was not good at all. Anyone can cook better than they can there. Also, when we walked in the hostess asked our name and that was all. She didn't even ask how long the wait was or anything. The menus were also nasty and greasy to the point where I didn't want to even touch them. Not a good place at all
Went to FInley's to collect on my free Birthday Dinner with my boyfriend. I had ordered the Chips & Queso but they didn't have any, and not thinking ( because I am Diabetic ) I ordered the Onion Rings only to pass on the bread basket offered. My boyfriend had the Reuben Basket which was huge! He almost couldn't eat all of it! I had the BIrthday Steak dinner. My steak was PERFECT! I rarely get a steak done the way I like it. I had the loaded baked potato ( as one of my carbs ) which was good and the squash. I never figured they would put brown sugar in squash ( not needing the sugar ) and it was fair but overly sweet for me. All-in-all, a good experience as always and we will be going back.

First time at this site not bad food was good the service was fast and friendly. I think they could get rid of the old Fridays decor and try to be their own restaurant. Another plus would be fewer beef options and or add more chicken options on the menu.

This is the 3rd time we have ordered the top sirloin dinner and the steak kebab dinner. All three times, neither dinner was cooked to order. The steak was tough as nails (both dinners). We won't be eating there again.

It is not a Michelin starred restaurant, but... Food is consistently good which is hard to get in this day and age. They start by bringing bread to your table. Both the white and dark bread are delicious. They have a wide variety of appetizers, the onion rings are crispy and delicious and I highly recommend them. I love the caesar salad, it is one of the best I have ever tasted. My favorite main dishes are the steaks (all types), the ribs, and the fettuccine broccoli alfredo. The burgers are good too, and I love their steak fries. As someone pointed out it is not vegetarian friendly, but that is not the point of this type place. It is typical American comfort food. The decor is OK, it is like many other chain restaurants (Applebees, etc) that have the typical tchotchkes (antique junk) on every wall. I don't know if it is just the time of day I go, but the clientele tends to be many retirement age couples. Families seem to be their other main customers. You won't find too many hip, trendy, or young people here, but that is OK by me. It is a pretty relaxed atmosphere, they don't rush you. It is NOT like some places that bring out the main course while you are still finishing your appetizers/salad almost like they are trying to get rid of you. (I am looking at you Carrabba's) I have always had decent service, nothing too special but reliable and friendly. You can't beat the FREE birthday steak (or money toward any entrée}. They often have some pretty good coupons in the Sunday paper, but the coupons are not good on Friday nights, which is when most people go out so be sure to read the fine print before you dine. Prices are very reasonable, so much so I usually do a double take on the check because I think they forgot to bill us for something. It is not too much more expensive than fast food but it is much better quality and there is more variety.
