Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

This place in nothing it advertises to be. It is NOT Italian, Lebanese, nor Mediterranean. It is a very bland, mediocre, one dimensional restaurant. The menu is mostly Lebanese, but miss some of the great essential Lebanese dishes like shish kebab, shish tawook, Aryes, etc. It seems that if the food isn't fried or microwaved it is not going to be offered. Do yourselves a favor and Stay Away from the Embassy.

Adequate Lebanese restaurant. They apparently offer Italian cuisine as well, but we didn't order any, so I can only comment on the Lebanese dishes. The small plate of 4 olives, 5 cubes of cheese, and 6 slices of pickled turnip was nice. It comes at no cost. The Kibbeh was yummy, and Embassy offers it in three forms - fried, baked, or raw. Since we ordered the Mezze for $24, we got the fried and baked varieties. The Mezze was quite a bit of food for $24, and included hashweh and tabbouli. Their Hashweh is very similar to Hashweh I had at Middle Eastern Cafe down the street. Someone told me that the owner of Embassy used to own Middle Eastern Cafe and sold it to its current owner. I don't know whether that is true or not, but the hashweh was very similar in taste. The included hummus was just alright. It didn't have any real flavor. I like flavorful hummus.

The service was great and the food was very good. The atmosphere was definitely more American then the typical middle eastern restaurant (similar to Woody's). I would recommend the fried kibbee, the lebeneh, and the shish tawuk(?).

Before coming to this place, I subscribed to the belief that Middle-eastern food was universally bad. I've tried Woodys, I've tried Sultans. I've tried saharas. They all produce bland food with bad service and a giant price tag. The embassy grill is different. The food has flavor, the service is good, and the decor is beyond what I expected for a hole-in-the-wall resturant. There re two flatscreens on the walls, and enough other things on the walls to keep your eyes busy until your food comes (which isn't that long). The best part about it is the price tag. You'd think you were eating at Olga's or something. Dinner for two with an appetizer and two drinks for under 25? OMG! I have had _one_ bad experience once at this resturant, however, and for that reason it gets no more than three stars.... If not for that one experience, however, this resturant would be four stars easily. I strongly recommend the baked kibbie, and the cold appetizers are amazing too.

The selection of Middle Eastern food is not very big here. It also has Italian cuisine so maybe that's why. The felafel was yummy! The rice, hummus and house lebanese salad were just average. You may have better luck finding middle eastern food you enjoy elsewhere.

What fun--a Lebonese/Italian restaurant. After a number of good reviews from friends, we decided to give this a try tonight. The house Merlot is good, not outstanding, but decent. We ordered a variety of appetizers, the humus plate, Embassy Style Feta and the Lebonese cheese bread. The humus was a little grainy but since it was obviously freshly made and not some pre-packaged, overly processed dip, the texture was perfectly acceptable. Do not leave here without ordering the Embassy Style Feta! This was also freshly made. The feta was nice and salty. The saltiness of fresh feta can sometimes be overpowering but the onions and tomato took away some of that while complementing the overall dish. The cheese bread was good--warm and a little sweet. Not spectacular. I probably wouldn't get that again. Service was good and the price for four drinks and 3 appetizers came in at under $30. We had to check the bill again because we couldn't believe it! Extra bonus--Embassy Grill is smokefree!

This place is amazing and magical. Once again, in search of patio drinking and eating, my sister and I wound up at this establishment for a fine Mediterranean feast. And feast we did. We ordered off the Mezza menu, which I had never done before but my sister had. They basically charge you by person and give you 3 cold items, 3 hot items, and 1 grilled item. Then everyone gets a little package of pita, and it's all devoured family style. The food is so good and the manager, who was also our waiter and possibly the owner too, was so nice and helpful. It's obvious my sister goes there a lot, she was friendly with the staff and knew something about everything. So I let her take the reigns and order, while I sat back and sipped my wine and let the feast come to me. The Shish Tawuk was our grilled option, a lemony chicken and it was so amazingly good. I highly recommend it. Their tabouli is also very fresh and VERY parsley-y, and very good. I don't know what their individual items are like, so I definitely recommend the Mezza menu so you can get a sampling of pretty much everything. It worked out perfectly for us. And if money is an issue, you can tell him how many people you want to pay for, and that dictates how much food. So if there are 3 of you and you're just there for appetizers (which is pretty much what we were), you can tell them you want the Mezza for two and they will give you the portion for 2, rather than 3. It's still more than enough food.

This is by far the worst Middle Eastern restaurant I've ever frequented. The falafel was very greasy-- not crispy at all, the calamari came to us burnt black and tough, and my chicken kabob was completely raw on the inside. We sent everything back and the poor waitress kept apologizing profusely for each item returned, observing the food and our frustration. I don't know how this establishment has managed to stay open and I really question the positive reviewers.

Used to be a regular, but now I live 900 miles away so don't get in as often! I always wanted to try more items but I constantly get the cabob combo. One steak one chicken and the kafta over rice. The rice was soooo flavorful. And the house salad was good too. I miss getting their take out. Hope you're doing well Embassy grill! I miss ya.

First time I went it was ALRIGHT but went back a couple times and it just keeps getting better! Best falafel's i've had in forever. The fried kibbeh and feta ball are yummy! Atmosphere is of a diner with a bar but still warm and cozy. Service is great too very friendly. Highly recommend it.

We have been making the rounds of the local middle eastern food restaurants in our area and tried this one recently. Utilizing our Groupon enabled us to experience the cuisine more economically. We were dining with two additional couples, but had to be seated separately due to inadequate seating in the dining area. After ordering drinks and appetizers the table that could accommodate the 6 of us opened up and we were re-seated (they had seated a single person at a 6/8 top table). There was one server for the entire restaurant and she was running around like a crazy person. Our perception was that she was perturbed by our inquires about the offerings on the menu. But, once we had made our selections she was very attentive to our needs. The food was not anything exceptional. The Falafel was not particularly flavorful and quite dry. We ordered Chicken Shawarma and it arrived luke warm, dry and also not very flavorful. The pita was dry and the garlic sauce was very plain tasting. We enjoyed the flavor of the hummus and the baba ganoush. Overall, I could not really recommend this location as a choice for middle eastern cuisine. None of us sampled the Italian selections from the menu, so I will not make any comments.
