Excellent! Excellent! My husband and I are hundreds of miles away from home. I swear there's food solace everywhere I see that signature signage. Food wonderful, service was swift and sweet. Definitely returning.

It's Cracker Barrel, what can I say. They are all pretty much the same. Decent service, fair pricing, decent food, and clean. They are as dependable as can be, nationwide. As long as you don't mind a menu with a lot of soft foods and dining with geriatrics it is an alright place on a road trip when you don't have time to go looking for an interesting local place Where else can you wait in a rocking chair on the porch, listen to old people tell stories, buy old timey chocolate bars and bad country music, and order catfish and hash brown casserole.

We don't have this chain in California, and always try to eat comfort food at one at least once when we're in the area. The food was OK. Pretty standard as we expected, and the prices are fair, by comparison, but the service was terrible. I don't know if the young waitress was new, or stoned, but she totally screwed up our meals. We ended up eating at separate times, and had to flag down another server for drink refills. When we were paying, the manager was behind the counter with the cashier. He made the mistake of asking how everything was! I told him, thinking he would want to know so mistakes could be addressed with the server, but he really didn't want to hear it. No big deal, but we won't be back

Their service is amazing and fast! The food their is always amazing everytime I go. Plus if you happen to get bored waiting for you food you can go shopping in their store to pass the time! The store had a pretty wide selection. Don't forget to check out the awesome Clarence section!

Slow and slightly confused service, chain-style down-home cooking, and a full age distribution from "learning to drool" through "my kids have grand-kids." Not high cuisine, but pretty good for highway food if you need a longish break. Turnip greens were mostly pork; Velveeta-ish mac & cheese hit the spot. Biscuits are great. I'd stay out of the store half, but the rocking chairs out front ("to sit, or buy") are pretty nice.

This place is always busy and the food is always good. Had to wait about 30 minutes on a Sunday afternoon, but this is a good indication of a satisfied crowd. I have never had a bad meal at Cracker Barrel and this visit was no exception. I ordered the home style chicken, which is only available on Sunday, and was not disappointed. Tasty and tender. Courteous and pleasant describes the staff and I would recommend this place as it is one of my favorite places to eat.

Food was great, but what was important was the service. Barring the cashier (but she was easily in her 80's so I'll chalk her... odd behavior up to that), everyone was amazing. The hostess made sure we had a nice table that wasn't cramped (if you've been to a CB, you know they jam in a lot of tables). When I opened my silverware, there was food crusted on the fork. I asked my server for a new set, and she was super apologetic about it and brought me a new set... along with my check, where she'd given me my meal for free. I wasn't thrilled about the dirty fork but I definitely didn't expect a comped meal because of it! A short while later, the manager came out and apologized profusely. I've had worse things go wrong and had way less service at other establishments, so this small act of kindness and good customer service was amazing! :) I added the cost of my meal to my server's tip because I'm impressed to see that level of service still alive and well. Our server's name was Sara.

Hostess- blah, curt, no personality and therefore shouldn't be a hostess. 1 star. Waitress- excellent! Friendly, quick, attentive, friendly...5 stars Chicken fried chicken- tender, nice sized piece.. Gravy bland 3 stars Mac cheese yummy and flavorful 3 Cheesy potato cass ( apparently craving carbs) flavorful 3 Green beans yummy but soooooooooo salty. In fact the whole meal was salty. Drank 2-3 glasses of water and a opulent more at home. Meatloaf- tasted processed- not like down home cooked.3 Okra - 2 Greens- yuuuuuum, smoky, salt, hubs loved. Biscuits were incredibly salty, heavy hockey pucks-2 I had high hopes, but this again reinforced why I try to stay away from chain restaurants. Pricey for mediocre , salty tasting food.

I wanted something with fish, so went to Cracker Barrel on a whim. My husband and I used to go here, and I guess I was feeling nostalgic. Anyway, was seated promptly and got the menu promptly, as well. I chose catfish (fried) with two sides and biscuits. The food, all of it, was very good but for the price, mmmmm, maybe just a *little* expensive. This was enough food for two meals so I brought half of it home. Therefore, I didn't worry about the price after that. Regarding atmosphere and service: service was friendly and not chatty (with me) but a different server knew the party at one of her tables (right next to me) and she went ON and ON in a VERY LOUD VOICE. Unfortunately, I had a terrible headache that night, and there are no soft surfaces to absorb up any sound waves in that room (stone floor, wood tables, wood walls...) It was tremendously annoying. I was glad to get out of there. I appreciate friendly service, but geez, come on. If I had been the floor manager, I probably would have spoken with her about it behind the scenes.

We stopped here out of convenience for dinner the other day. Every now and then you just want some down home country cooking. We didn't get that. I should have known by the disappointing start, that it was not going to be a good night. I got the Half and Half (iced tea and lemonade mix) and you would think it would be made with actual lemonade with sugar, but no. This drink wasn't sweet at all. It tasted by they mixed iced tea with lemon water. I had to add a couple Splendas to sweeten it up. After our waiter brought our drinks we asked him if the turnip greens were like collard greens. I believe his response went something like this, "I don't know. It's green stuff chopped up and boiled". Thanks kid, a lot of help. He then continued to say how it didn't matter since they didn't have it that night. Okay great. When my husband said he wanted to eat here, I said that was fine since I could get meatloaf (I love meatloaf, weird I know). When our waiter finally comes back after dropping off food, taking orders and disappearing to the back for awhile, we tried to place our orders. I order the meatloaf and he tells me they are out. What?! How can you be out of meatloaf? Does that mean you have no burgers too? That was literally the only thing I wanted there so we told him to bring us our bill for the drinks so we can leave. He disappears for another 10 minutes just to come back to tell us the drinks are on the house. Horrible first impression. We will probably never come back.

For me, Cracker Barrel is synonymous with breakfast. I was in town on a cold November morning and couldn't pass up an opportunity to eat here since we don't have one in my hometown and haven't had it in awhile. The food was great and the staff was friendly. I recommend the "Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast", it's a day's worth of calories all in one meal! Dear Cracker Barrel, Please move to NYC! We would love to have you and would would make a fortune,

Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite restaurants. I'm sad there is none close to me in CA. It's a nice, homey restaurant to go to when you want comfort food! It's also a nice restaurant to go to after church. When I am craving breakfast, I order their pancakes with strawberry topping with a side of hashbrown casserole. I am in love with their hashbrown casserole! It's so cheesy and creamy. For lunch/dinner, I usually order the chicken strips. They are nothing too special but it is my favorite comfort food. Their sides are the best! None of the sides disappoint. One time I just ordered three sides (they have that option on their menu). =) My favorites are the mac and cheese and fried okra. My best friends are big fans of the meatloaf. The service is always great. I've always had these sweet older women who are very attentive and sweet. I think it's really cute how they have a gift shop in the waiting area selling old school candy and cute home décor. The old school candy brings back memories of my childhood. So if you ever run into a Cracker Barrel, check it out! It will not disappoint!

Oh, Cracker Barrel. I came home to visit the family and my mom wanted to come here. It's like a trip into the country. The store is full of nick-knacks and old country things. We ate dinner which was hard to choose because so much of the menu was fried. But, that's country food, right? We both ordered country fried steak, which was actually pretty good. I'd get the "gravy" on the side, though. Overall, it was a good experience. Our waitress was great! Very friendly, and attentive. Cracker Barrel isn't my first choice in a restaurant but, if my mom wants to go here again, I'd do it.

Typical Cracker Barrel with 329867 things on their gigantically confusing menu. Service is always great and warm atmosphere!

While the food is exactly as mediocre as you expect it to be, the restaurant is not maintained properly. Our table was dirty with salt on it, and we sat next to the heating register that was disgustingly filthy and smelt of vomit. I will not be back.

I really do not understand the American obsession with this place. It is not unique since it is a giant chain. The Catfish was pretty good however and I appreciate the 3 sides you are given. We were in town for a funeral and had been with family for several days. We could all use a drink although this place... NO booze. oh well, Food isnt bad but isnt great although I have heard breakfast is the ticket here, ill give that a shot sometime.

The last 2 times I eat here, I had a one star server (Brand new) They must have a great training program, because the service was great and the food is always good. Plus the store always makes me think back to when I was a child with all the craetive items for sale. We always hit a Cracker Barrel when on the road.
