Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Oh Art's Bar.. I am a fan. This is my favorite dive bar in Lansing. You attract quite the odd crowd of folks, but never do you feel out of place. Your beer shoopers are a steal at $3-4 for 30 ounces of beer. The good: Pizzas, burgers, cheap beer, service. The bad: It's a bar, it gets loud. If you want a quiet meal, here really isn't the place. Favorite dish: the BBQ chicken pizza!

''Dive'' right into Art's! Cheap beers. Pizza that is good to start with and only gets better the more you drink. Wait staff was friendly, as we're most of the other customers. Several TV's to watch for sporting events. It isn't all that pretty to look at but very fun and very casual. Enjoy your visit in''pike position.''

I'd call it a dive bar.. But the waitress was too nice.. I want the true dive bar experience.. Where the waitress and other patrons shoot you glances that say, 'what are YOU doing here' ..I ordered the chicken fingers and my friend ordered a burger.. They did not ask him how he wanted it cooked.. He said it was sufficiently juicy though.. The fries are sub par.. Chicken fingers were fantastic.. 3 dollar enormous beers which is a redeeming factor.. I was in the bathroom at the urinal when a drunken patron stumbled in and bumped me while I was pissing.. This gave me stage freight and it took a couple minutes to regain my bearings.. Value is great, great environment.. Would return..

Total dive bar, but delicious food and very reasonable prices! The staff is so friendly, and always remember you when you come in again. Great place for lunch or a drink!

One of my favorite Lansing bars. When I have visitors in from out of town we go for Schoops and a pie! Thumbs up for Art's Bar!

One of the best pizza places in lansing no need for extra cheese as the ninja turtle slices are as cheezy as they get interesting selection in assorted pizzas like taco pizza think I ate in once and service was just ok or this would be 5 stars.

Old school dive bar. Giant beers, good pizza and burgers. Kids even liked it. Watched the Packers sneak out a game with the Cowboys.
(4)John K.
This place is my favorite dive in E.Lansing. Huge beers, good pizza, THE BEST wings in the state, cool people, and the only place in town that has free shuffleboard. What else could you possibly want?
(4)Ryan W.
This is the kind of pizza where 1 or 2 slices gets you full. It tastes really good. The sauce is great and the crust is good. They also use quality toppings.

Perfect dive bar. Order a "shooper"- a giant goblet of your favorite beer. Honestly yes, the pizza is lackluster, between here and DeLuca's it's clear Lansing people just don't know good pizza. But the food offerings are inexpensive and plentiful, the beer flows freely, and service tends to be a riot. I say tends because on some awful night social groups will block off a whole section and scream bloody murder at each other all night- that's not so fun. Most nights though, it's just a chill place to grab a (large) beer and a bite.

A great dive bar. Townies, MSU fans, and Capitalistas (made that one up) all come here if they know what's best for them. Art's is a dive bar on the slightly unbeaten part of Kalamazoo. Its closest neighbors are second-hand furniture stores and abandoned buildings, but that doesn't stop Art's from being a great place to get a cheap beer, good food, and watch a game. As expected with a dive part, the draft beer selection is minimal (Bud, Bud Light, Miller Light, Labatt, and Dos Equis for an upcharge), but for a modest price ($3 on game days), a generous 32oz schooner glass full of it. Also with the purchase of beverage, our table got a monstrous colander of popcorn. The local's will rave that the pizza is best in town, but I'd say its the best bar pizza in town. Art's additionally has a full menu comparable with other bars in the area. The curly fires a great, and the potato skins were quite good as well (albeit steak fries made from the skins of potatoes). From what I can tell, the kitchen is open relatively late. Overall, a great dive bar. Don't expect much class, but do expect to have a good time.

I'm not sure why everyone is jocking this place. We finally ordered a pizza from here after hearing rave reviews. It was basically a baked wad of cheese. The sauce was ok, but there's no reason to get stoked about this pizza.

Awww yeahhh arts bar. My dad used to go here after work when I was little and he can't believe I love to go there now. Huge schoopers of beer, along with phenomenal pizza. Staff is always super friendly. Blue collar dive, with a Michigan state theme. I love it.
(5)Foodie L.
This pizza was ok. I don't get the hype. Way to much cheese.
(3)Ben H.
Pizza just doesn't get better than here. Huge glasses of beer, helpings of cheese, delicious pepperoni? You're at Art's. This little hole in the wall is Lansing's most prized possession in the pizza world. Food is great and the atmosphere is even better. College kids, town drunks, ghetto cruisers and families alike all reside here!

Nothing beats a good dive bar. I was at the Capitol on Thursday for a rally and a group of us decided to meet up for a beer after. While I'm not from Lansing, nor do I spend any time there, I agreed to meet up at Art's Bar. It's about a mile walk from the Capitol, easy to get to though I wouldn't recommend doing the walk at night. Definitely not on the beaten path, and a little rough of an area. But, during the day the walk was fine. I have to say that the pizza is pretty good and everyone raved about their food (lots of sandiches). The beer selection sucks, but whatever, it's a dive bar, not a gastro pub. I would have given Art's four stars except that I had kind of a weird experience that could have been avoided. I ordered a seltzer and when it was delivered it was simply disgusting. I thought it maybe had alcohol in it or something and when the waitress came back I told the waitress that and she said, "Yeah, our seltzer is really gross, it's the line or something," Um, why not just tell me that befeore? Weird. Despite the seltzer debacle, I definitely recommend Art's Bar for anyone looking for a fun time at a dive bar for lunch, after hours, or whever else.

If you want classic Lansing watering hole, this is it! Awesome food, excellent hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, mostly original decor (complete with massive Magic-era MSU hoops murals), table shuffleboard and a long bar to belly-up to. And they actually have specials on decent beers! Warning: Don't ask for extra cheese on the pizza ;-)
(4)Staci S.
My favorite place to get pizza, especially the half baked take home pizza. I love the goblets of beer. It doesn't look promising from the outside, or even when you walk in, as it's not the nicest of places, but you will be pleasantly surprised if you stay for some drinks and food.

I love Art's. It is one of the few bars I enjoy going to in Lansing. We've had good food, including the pizza and the appetizers, and the burgers are greasy and delicious, as you would hope they would be at such a dive. The shoopers are great, its never too loud to hear your friends, and we usually get Dori as our waitress on the weekends and she's fantastic. Go to Arts!
(5)Brian S.
Such a wide range of clientele but always friendly and super fun; Food is delicious; Drinks are cheap (especially beer, SHOOPERS!); Waitresses are great fun and will get to know you; Service can be a little bit slow on big game days, but it's worth it for the atmosphere!
(4)Chuck K.
My Yelp Friend took me here this weekend. If you're into dive bars, this place is five stars for sure. Belly up to the bar and enjoy $3 fishbowls of draft beers (they call them Shoopers here). Friendly bartender and great popcorn to snack on while you play some keno and watch the game. Really smokey, but come May, that won't be an issue any longer. Definitely a nice local bar on the border of Lansing to give a whirl!

Art's is my all-time favorite dive bar in Lansing. I have been going there for food, drinks, and fun since my college days at MSU in the late 1990s. The beer price and quantity is the best bar bargain at $3 32 oz Shooper. The burgers and sandwiches are great. The bottomless popcorn helps if you're light on funds. If you like shots, they're extremely affordable. The pizza is tasty but it's not the best pizza in Lansing; solid though. Tracey, Dorie, and Stephanie are always pleasant and fun. There is always an eclectic mix of people ranging from blue collar to collegiate to business people. If you're uppity or snotty, this might not be the place for you. Now I'm older...married with kids but I still have to make an occasional cameo appearance at Art's for cheap beer & shots, great food, good people, and exceptional fun service. Art's rocks!!!
(5)Paul S.
Place is dark and in major need of remodeling. Definitely a dive bar. Some of the wait staff is awesome, some of them are totally worthless. Food is really good especially the pizza. Large portions and reasonable prices. You will never be able to eat a full order if nachos, no matter how hungry you are. The only weird things are, you always have to ask for your bill, and once they take your credit card, they wander all over the bar with it, then disappear for 10 minutes, before they bring it back. I have never had a bad credit card experience, its just nerve racking when your card wanders off for an extended period of time.

Art's has breakfast! I feel like I'm letting a secret out of the bag... I've never seen them advertise breakfast and didn't see breakfast on their menu when I have been there before, but I stopped in when I saw all the cars in the lot one morning. Great breakfast food- laid back atmosphere. Who knew!?
(5)Steve T.
I can't speak as to their table service because I never eat there. My many trips to Art's Bar have been only to pick up a pizza for take out. I can say that it is definitely your typical hole-in-the-wall dive bar with a rather diverse clientele. As to their pizza, I have never been disappointed. Good crust (rather thick and chewy) and tasty toppings. Art's uses a lot of cheese on their pizzas which makes them a winner in my book. Most other places in town are far too stingy with the cheese. If you're looking for one of the better pizzas in town, this is your place.
(5)Erich Z.
Art's is a place I could see coming after work for a cool down. The huge schupers of beer, the decent Pizza, the atmosphere. It won't wow you, but it's all good.
(3)Ed C.
Art's is a sweet dive bar that serves 32 oz goblets (schupers) of beer for $3. They also make a pretty good (if inconsistent) pizza. They deliver, but don't make that mistake. They take forever and the food they give for delivery is different and inferior.
(3)Samantha G.
I love this bar! It may be my favorite in the country, and I've been to several. Cheap cold beer, delightful cheese bread, stellar curly fries, and there's always some kind of sports on the big screen. The Schupers are one-of-a-kind and are the beer equivalent of comfort food. Yeah, there's a lot of smoke, and no dress code to speak of, but the waitresses are super nice, and did I mention I love the beer?

It is necessary to start out saying that we have had many positive experiences - bordering on countless - at Art's. It's also necessary to state that I have never written a negative review until I've simmered down. That is until tonight's experience as I literally just walked back in the door after "dining" there. Here we go: Hubby and I eat out often, and again, we've eaten at Art's on many occasions. Food is typically very consistent, good service, and for the type of establishment that it is, it previously would have earned five stars. We started out ordering what we typically order - a couple of beers and a pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and green olives. We were having an enjoyable evening sipping our beer when the pizza came and instead of green olives, it had green peppers. Many years before and during college I worked as a waitress. We tip very well (usually 20% or more regardless of the type of restaurant) and never complain about food - even if it's wrong - with the exception of having green peppers as I absolutely, positively, hate them and simply cannot eat them. So, when the pizza came, before it even hit the table I could smell them and then when I saw them informed the waitress it was to be green olives, not green peppers. Despite being very hungry, I'm not mad at this point. Mistakes happen. Everything's cool. Pizza #2 comes out - it is anemic looking - cheese isn't browned and it's not an Art's looking pizza at all. Moreover, it's green olives and ham. No pepperoni, no sausage, no mushrooms...only green olives and ham, the latter item which wasn't ordered. We stated we'd pay for our beer, please bring us a tab. Waitress who brought it told us not to worry about it so we left. On the way to our car while in the parking lot, our waitress ran out apologizing and stating waitress brought us the wrong pizza and ours was ready. Stated she would box ours up if we wanted - still no charge - but the correct pizza was ready. We agreed to come and sit back down and have our dinner. Her actions had saved a long-time, well tipping, uncomplaining customer. Pizza #3 comes. It is green olives, pepperoni, mushrooms - no sausage. It too is 'anemic' - cheese isn't browned like it typically is. Now I'm convinced the kitchen is going to "show us." Hubby had a piece, I had a piece, and I cut into one other piece. Between three pieces a restaurant that normally loads their pizza with toppings has no sausage and one piece of pepperoni per slice. Wow. I mean, seriously. Waitress offered to give us another beer on the house but by now, I'm not interested in ever stepping foot in there again as I'm pretty confident by the kitchen's actions that they also likely did something unsavory to our food because they need to "show us." That's it. No more. Adios, Art's. It's been a good run but this is so ridiculously bad and so obviously intentional, I'm done. Michigan is like a third-world country these days and restaurants that decide to do this are shooting themselves in the foot. I seriously hope the ownership reads this as I will not be back under any circumstances whatsoever. No amount of free food could lure me back in.

Art's is what it is - a local bar with great pizza and cheap beer. I'd give it 5 stars except the womens bathroom doors have been broken for the last 5 years.
(4)Michelle B.
Hands down the best Pizza in Lansing!!! Great Dive Bar too!! I have many good memories and even better drunk stories that all came from this place!! Can't wait to come back!! :)
(5)Matt R.
At Art's, you will enjoy yourself as long as you don't expect this bar to be something it's not. This isn't a "cool" place to dress up and go hang out. It is a smoky, grimy bar that serves the best pizza in town. The beer is also impressive, they serve a 32 oz. "Schuper" of beer in a big goblet. It's a 2-hander for sure. Anyways, if you are looking for a dive with good food, this is it. Looking for a Friday night hangout, might want to check somewhere else. The type of clientel that hangs out here wouldn't appreciate your club attire....
