For "American" Chinese food, this place is great! Best in the area. Happy return customer.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet! My family's favorite takeout place. We go each time I'm home visiting, and it's turned into a Christmas Eve tradition as well. You really can't go wrong with the menu here, although my favorites are the Kung Pao chicken and veggie lo mein. I recommend the combos if possible, because they include fried rice and am egg roll, both of which are delicious!

Best Chinese take-out in the area. Shocked every time by the high quality of the food. When you order something with vegetables (like "Bean Curd Home Style (w/ Vegetables)"), each individual vegetable is cooked perfectly. The carrots retain their crunch, the broccoli is fresh and firm - and this is EVERY time we've eaten from here. Consistently excellent.

Yes, we drove all of the way from Royal Oak to Port Huron just to eat at a storefront Chinese Take-Out. It is that good,

Great place, contrary to some other reviews, my veggie friendly girlfriend comes here especially for the beancurd homestyle. The General Tso's is good, but the Happy Family and Double Delight are what bring me here at night. Yum. Some of the best carryout chinese in St. Clair County.

We visit this place when we get rained out for a meal when staying at the KOA in Port Huron. They have great Chinese food--especially their lo mein and their dumplings. The only dish we haven't liked was the Szechuan bean curd (tofu). The tofu was too soft and bland, which is disappointing for a vegetarian friend as it's the only tofu dish on the menu. But carnivores can be happy--their beef, pork, and chicken dishes are very good!

Peking Kitchen is quick, delicious Chinese takeout that (lucky me) is close to my work and home. I am a fan of the mixed vegetables. Simple, but well prepared with a nice (not heavy) brown sauce. My ultra picky hubby usually tries something different each time we order. He's enjoyed many of the chicken and shrimp combination dishes that he has tried. I never have difficulty placing my order (no communication barrier) and the food is always done quickly. I definitely recommend Peking Kitchen!

Best Chinese food in the Port Huron area. The only downside is that their "spicy" isn't very spicy at all--so request "extra spicy" if you like it hot. All in all it's a good little place for take out.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
