We decided to have dinner for my mother's birthday on a whim and we were thinking seafood sounded good. There was not very many people in the restaurant yet the atmosphere was cold. Our server seemed to be in a rush to clear out her section, pushing us through our four course meal in under 30 minutes. The food was terrible, mussels that were not fully steamed, seafood pasta with under cooked pasta and rubbery scallops. In fact every single meal was overcooked or stale. The only saving grace was the cheddar biscuits, which I've since procured a recipe for so we never have to go back to this establishment!

Depending on what you get Red Lobster can be good but it's generally hit or miss with the portions and quality obviously decreasing over the years in dishes such as, specifically, the side salads that come with your meal. Not a biggie but it's clear they aren't super quality concious. The fresh fish (they have a separate, smaller menu for that) and the pricier seafood is really quite good but the rest, lower quality stuff is just OK. I see they have burgers now and they have typical appetizer stuff like mozzarella sticks and chicken strips for those that don't like seafood. I'm often disappointed by what I get. The lobster pizza for example has never really hit the mark. The shrimp tacos should be good but are just meh. More recently I got fish and chips (yesterday actually), I don't know why I expected more but the chips are just their normal fries and the fish was actually a huge fillet battered and fried whole without seasoning. I've never seen this before in my life as being "fish and chips" and even if they had cut it down into three fillets it would've had more flavor from the frying. My mom got good chicken fettuccine alfredo but you could make that at home in less than twenty minutes so I'm not sold on paying someone else to do so or impressed that they can. Their free biscuits and consistently good service are the best things here. And their crab legs. Delicious!

A nice light lunch of stuffed flounder, cheddar bay biscuits, and a garden salad with French dressing made for a great meal.

I don't often give a poor rating, in fact this is my first 2 star review. Waitress had no energy, like she just woke up. Fries & batter on shrimp was soggy. We would have done better at Long John's.

The Cheddar baked biscuits were wonderful! The shrimp was great. The Merlot wasn't as sweet as I want it to be. Need to work on keeping the flies away. Server was very respectful.

The restaurant wasn't very busy and we were seated fast. The waitress was very attentive. We ordered lemonade but it tasted very watery, so we got coke instead. The cheddar biscuits and the Caesar salad were both very good. However, the pasta was borderline cold.

It's one of those chins you can rely on to get a decent meal. The always have a "seasonal" menu so there is always a good variety of entrees to choose from. This is not a Five stat seafood place that sit on a seashore some place and has fresh seafood. However the food has always been good. The free "cheddar biscuits" are always great.
