13 years ago I moved from the Ironwood area to Minneapolis. When I visit I make sure to stop at the Olde Suffolk Ale House. My friends know I like good food and drinks. Being used to craft cocktails and micro-brewed beers I feel right at home. From fantastic martinis to the occasional ice cream drink (sorry guys) they never let me down. The food is top notch with a great selection. On my last visit I ordered the prime rib and to say it was one of the best I've ever had is an understatement. If you are in the area and looking for a great meal, great drinks and exception service this is your place.

This was our first visit to the area. After a day of sightseeing, we stopped in Ironwood. We checked out Yelp to see where we could eat. Some places were closed, some had mediocre or bad reviews, but we saw good reviews for the Old Suffolk Ale House and decided to try it out. It was a Thursday night and when we got there we wondered if it was open. There was just one guy, presumably the owner. He assured us he was open and we could order anything off the menu. The food was fantastic! I had the meat pizza. The meats were all made on the premises and made for a unique and great pizza. My wife had an incredible seafood dish. Word of note: The website only lists a lunch menu. They had an extensive dinner menu as well.

I found this restaurant via Yelp and am so glad we got the chance to stop by while in town recently. This has got to rank up there with one of the most unique restaurant experiences we've had in quite some time. First of all I always do everything possible to stop by local in-town restaurants vs the chains on the main roads. The ambiance of the place jumps right out at you as soon as you enter. We were seated in the main dining area separate from the bar area and were the only ones there at the beginning so it was quiet and nice. We kind of cracked up at the waiter. T-shirt and shorts, and it looked like he got called in on short notice if the regular server didn't show. No idea if this is typical or not, but we found it funny. Also, aside from needing to remind him about my salad & beer, he did a decent job. The main reason I still went with 5-stars was because of the food. Holy smokes, we had enjoyable and flavorful meals. The broiled whitefish I had was among the best I've ever eaten, and I can see why many people keep going back again & again. I have no idea when the next time we'll find ourselves in Ironwood, but if we do make it in the future, the Olde Suffolk will be a definite stop.

Two nights in a row! We are here for the weekend. Stopped in, sat by the fireplace, ordered the everything pizza on thin crust plus a couple of Bass Ales on Friday. Loaded with toppings, and really amazing. Then, on Saturday, we abandoned the restaurant we originally chose after appetizers to come back for another everything pizza, this time on hand tossed crust. Amazing again! Comfy chairs in the bar area, really nice staff, great place for after a day on the road or a day outside.

Love this place. Guiness on tap, and the Abruzzi plate. When I can get buttered toast points with melted chz and a bowl of sliced meatballs and marinara for 8 bucks I say yes please! Great atmosphere and the owners are awesome dudes.
