Place was just okay. Got soup and salad... Salad looked like it was old... Staff was friendly enough... But the kicker was that our order had been in 15 min prior to a table of two showing up. Their food was delivered 10 min before ours. I would try somewhere else before I came back.

A popular little place along U.S. 2 does a brisk business and for good reason. The portions are generous so prepare to fill up or ready to pack in a take home box. The atmosphere is unpretentious and the servers are rushed but courteous. As soon as we were seated menus were placed and drink orders taken. There will be a wait for the order but you will be amazed at the home cooking and mostly made from scratch servings. I had the Ravioli which comes with two soft bread sticks and thick red sauce. My wife had the Pork Chop special with the idea that I would help her finish. There are two thick chops and smooth well whipped mashed potatoes covered with what I'm sure is homemade gravy. The vegetable was peas which were about room temperature and soggy. Coffee refills were quick but don't expect gourmet coffee. Worth four stars for menu variety and service. Reduced a star due to noticeable dust on the counters and strewn napkins and various discarded food items on the floor.

After a long and tiring day of skiing, we were starving and ready for dinner. Since Mr. T's was closest to our hotel, we tried it first, and boy, were we glad we did. Unlike most diners I've been in, the owners of this one put some money into modernizing the table and seating so it doesn't look like it's stuck in the 70's/80's. It's bright, clean and charming. We love the waitress we got. She wasn't cloying and fake friendly. She was a no nonsense, northern hardy local who did her job well and efficiently. The food was really good - better than most diners I've been in. It's very affordable and you get a big portion. We tried the local pizza joint the next day but still came back to Mr. T's for dessert. Next time we're back, we'll just stick to this place because it really is the best Iron River has to offer, and there isn't much to begin with.

I pity the fool that doesn't like Mr. T's! Not only did the burger taste good. It was presented perfect. If you're ever in the U.P. around Iron River, Mr. T's is worth it.

Coming from the most southern part of lower Michigan, I was a little skeptical at first. It's a small little diner, with great food!! Our server Bri, was friendly and attentive. The food was awesome!! I'll definitely be back.

Went here on Father's day based on reviews and convenient location. We almost drove by the plain building. Inside decor was simple and clean, with table, booth or counter seating. My kid ordered a hot dog the bun was toasted, a nice touch. My husband ordered the pork chop dinner, it was over cooked, which made it dry. I ordered the cod dinner. It came with salad, which was a small bowl of lettuce with a slice of tomato. The cod was an appropriate portion, but small and not very good. The baked potato was cooked just right and not old. Overall an ok place, but not sure we would return. Maybe burgers and pizza would be a better option.

Early mornings, you have the bible study crowd. Later on especially Sundays you have the after church crowd as well. It is almost always full of people whenever we would come visit, and so far, the food has been consistently decent. Down to earth diner fare as unpretentious as it gets. Decor was dated, but definitely has that U.P. flair going on so it fit the local scenery. Probably my favorite would be the pies that they have..peanut butter chocolate, double chocolate something..I can't remember. I think it's not made in house but ordered someplace else but it sure is good. What I LOVE here is the chowder that they have every Friday. Yummy!!! I even used to stop by here before going home to order bowls of it for dinner/lunch.

My girlfriend and myself stumbled into Mr. T's on a Sunday evening after searching high and low for a place to grab an early dinner. To our amazement, everything in town was closed except for Mr. T's! Whether or not we were destined to experience the splendor of Mr. T's is up for you to decide! Upon entering, we were immediately thrown into a psychedelic time-warp that only Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula could provide. The place was a sort of a hybrid road-stop diner and supper club. One half of the restaurant was equipped with round dining tables, while the other half of the restaurant was adorned with big, stuffy aquamarine booths. The walls were covered with wildlife paintings from local artists as well as a few HUGE wall paper photographs from the 1950's, showing splendid lakeside scenes of the northwoods. We knew we were in for a treat. Although I would bet that the dinner specials were heavenly, including soup, salad and entree...we were there to grab a quick bite only. I had my first Cudaghi sandwich! It was a delicious pork sausage patty grilled to perfection and laid over a kaiser roll with mozzarella and marinara sauce on top. My girlfriend had her classic...mashed potatoes and a grilled cheese...I know, it's really weird. But both looked and tasted delicious! If we had more time, I would have loved to have a piece of pie I saw chilling in the front cooler display. As for the service, it was kind and genuine, as to be expected from such a place. Give them a shot, Mr. T's is a real U.P. treat.

Out of towners who stopped in for a family lunch. Was greeted by a waitress walking by that said, "Sit where ever you want." We selected a booth by the window for our party of five. 5 min went by before we were even provided menus. 5 more min and our waitress took our drink order, when I went to order drinks for my children she walked away and said I'll come back later for them. Typically at that moment I would have walked out after that attitude. We ordered coffee and when she asked if we wanted cream she dropped the creamer on the table as if we were inconveniencing her. We all ordered and food took what I would expect for a fair amount of time to leave the kitchen. Pizza was delicious, blueberry pancakes were the size of the plate and delicious as well. Didn't get a refill on my drink and only saw the waitress once during the meal just for her to make a smart remark. Went to pay the bill and there was one person ahead of me. No problem. When it was my turn I handed my check and cash to the cashier, who asked, "Are you paying with cash or credit?" Well I handed you cash. She then said, "Well I have to deliver this food out first can you wait?" Sure.... Needless to say, I will never eat there again or would I recommend this place to anyone!
