I was a little taken aback when I ordered a small latte and slice of cheesecake and got to the register to find it was over $10. The latte was great, probably near the top for lattes of experienced, but the $6 slice of cheesecake is what ruined it. First of all, $6 for a slice of cheesecake is what you pay in NYC at a special bakery. Next, and this is personal preference, the cheesecake was so sweet it actually made it hard to eat. Again, I would definitely go back for the latte, but I would be a little more cautious about other items.

A Caesar salad is made with romaine lettuce. Ours came to us with iceberg, a less nourishing food. The menu also included sun flower seeds which we did not get. Disappointing just a regular lunch restaurant, nothing special.

Love this place! Nice little cafe with great food and great prices! Free wifi!! Great food!

I kinda hate small town America. However, employees at Moose Jackson remember your name and greet you when you come in. That to me makes me want to come back. Their flavored coffee is delicious (Pecan Sticky Bun, Michigan Cherry, and Jamaica-Me-Crazy are my favorite) Their scones are awesome (Oat Fruit Scone my fav). The cookies are awesome & HUGE (Oatmeal chocolate - YUM). Their food is fresh & delicious. Very Veggie sandwich [FAV]...their salads...their panini's....their chicken & dumpling soup... Yes, they have some REALLY GOOD menu items. And there is a variety of seating inside & out...which is nice :) LOVE THIS CAFE!! Price is higher than some, cheaper than others. But you get quality & kindness, it is worth it!!

Nice place for a cup of joe - we were waiting to go white water rafting so we looked this place up while killing time. Really cute and great coffee. I would go back when I am in the areas again.

Cute coffee shop and cafe with a nice variety of pastry and food options as well as tasty coffees. I had an iced coffee, a greek pasta salad and chicken and dumpling soup. The dumplings were more of a Southern style, but I won't hold that against them, as they were still tasty. Seating can be tricky there during peak times; but they do have outdoor seating for nicer seasons. I'm happy to have a nice pit stop in the Ironwood/Kingsford area!

A badly needed alternative to the average in IM. Marked by excellent, welcoming service. The selection is good with some creativity. I am a big fan of the Beef&Blue myself. I appreciate WiFi without hassle. May be a bit spendy for the UP, and the radio can be noisy. A true positive for the area.

I have died and gone to coffee and food heaven! Why can't this place be in Chicago? The cherry mocha is dreamy! You can mix any combination of their soup, salad, flatbreads and sandwiches (even the extra fancy special ones...take that Panera!)

For this area Moose Jackson is something special. Think of a Panera bread with a little northwoods character and you have Moose Jackson. Excellent sandwiches, soups and salads. My only complaint is that they close too early. You really can only get breakfast and lunch as it closes by 5 every day. It would be nice to be able to get dessert or a latte after dinner at the Moose but its closed. Oh well!

Good soup and sandwiches. Great brownies.

Since moving away, Moose Jackson has become my go to spot for morning coffee, a quick lunch and holiday reunions with friends when I'm back in town. They have a friendly staff, good food and drinks, and a nice space with ample seating and big windows that look out onto bits of main street and the local library.

The place to take the non-UPer for a cup of joe if you want to impart an up-north coffeehouse feel upon them. Nicely done, and I like the day-old half-price basket. That Moose Mountain cookie, or whatever it's called, is the best thing since sliced bread! I'm glad I don't live up there...because of those cookies and the winter weather...and because of the cute gal behind the counter.

Moose Jackson Cafe is one of the more ligit cafes in Iron Mountain; and maybe the whole Upper Pen. I'm a Yooper myself but have lived downstate now for nearly 17 years. I've traveled to many places and can know a good cafe when I see one. Moose Jackson is a great place to get lunch or some coffee. It's right downtown IM with small shops and public places to visit nearby. Whenever I come to Iron Mountain for family visits, I gladly visit this location for my daily coffee fix.

The best family owned coffee house i've ever been to. A must go to when you're in the UP and you have to love a place named after two labs! Keep up the good work, I can't wait to stop in this summer.
