Awesome place. We went there to have lunch and not disappointed at all. Though it's a small place in the middle of chaotic barsha traffic, once you are inside the restaurant you don't feel the madness outside. Serene, calm, very well decorated, gives you all the feel of a place with antique pictures here and there

I ordered a pizza about an hour and a half ago and when it arrived I was disappointed that one half of it was so overcooked as to be black on the edges and very dark brown on the underside. I used to really love this place and was real hungry so I just ate it and didn't bother to call in and complain. Overall it was a good pizza if you don't take into consideration the burnt edges I had to throw away. I decided I was disappointed in the pizza due to the overcooking but would give them one final try in about 3 weeks to see if this is in fact normal for them nowadays and would not order again if the next pizza was overcooked too. Well, about 15 minutes ago I got a couple calls from a phone number that looked very similar to the V.I.'s phone number but ignored them since I don't answer calls unless I recognize the number. Well a V.I. driver just came to my door to apologize and say that there was a problem with my previous pizza so they brought me a replacement one at no additional charge. BTW the replacement one was great and lived up to how they used to be which means excellent! My best guess is that maybe they recognized that the first pizza was overcooked and set it aside as undeliverable due to it being burnt on one half and it somehow accidentally got delivered so to make it right for me they took the initiative to deliver a new high quality pizza to make up for it even though I never called and complained about it. So kudos to the V.I. for outstanding customer service and also for the great tasting replacement pizza they sent me. I will continue to patronize this place and can only hope that other places would follow their great example of how to not only please their customers, but thoroughly exceed their expectations. Thank you V.I.! Also, the delivery driver was a friendly representative of the company both times so it was an overall great experience!

Came with others for lunch buffet. It included hard breadsticks, bland tasting pizza and a basic salad bar for 6.99. Charged 2.59 for a drink which is typical. Place had a good crowd. Was told they serve other items and it is popular among the locals. I'll go elsewhere for pizza. Service was OK.

Great service! This was my first time here and I was very impressed with the service, food, and atmosphere. The garlic cheese bread is a must have....get this even if you order nothing else!

Sooo disappointing! I've been a regular at the village inn in GR for yrs, I've never once had a bad time, meal, drink, or take out experience... This V.I. location is light years behind the quality of the pizza and customer service. 6 people 1 slice ish a piece out of 2 pizzas and the rest in the trash, that's a $35 lesson learned! I'm def on the market for a real quality pizza place in this area.

Here's an idea... When people call the restaurant to place a pizza take out order. How about after your receptionist transfers the call. SOMEONE should answer it. This has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Jets it is!

Despite some of the reviews, I still decided to order from here while visiting Holland. After a day in the sun and wine tasting, I wanted to just eat dinner in the hotel room. The girl who answered the phone was unsure if they delivered to the hotel and didn't seem like she wanted to try to find out. She asked us how far away the hotel was.... and then told us there would be an 1hr and 30min wait for delivery. We decided to just pick up the pizza (ready in 30min). I am happy we did because I am a fan! Granted, I ate just cheese, but I would definitely order from here again. Plus, I really liked that the pizza was cut in pie slices.

Used to order from here a couple times a week for years. Never again. 4 orders in a row screwed up and the quality of food just kept going downhill. Cya!

I personally think the decor, feel, and atmosphere of this place is somewhat below average. But since I'm very nostalgic about coming to this place whenever I visit Michigan, and that I weight ratings pretty much on experience and value....5 stars easy. Whenever I do visit Michigan, I make it a priority to check out Village Inn that same evening. 1/2 Appetizers and 75 cent drafts early in the week, you can't beat that. I am a fan of the pizza as well. But the thing that will always make me come back are those Cheesy Bread Sticks. So greasy (this is good), so flavorful, great use of seasonings, cooked great. I actually visit this pub before I visit family and friends *evil laugh* because I love those cheesy bread sticks. And normally when I go they are 1/2 off so $3 for a pizza sized appetizer. Hell, even if it wasn't 1/2 that's what I normally would pay out in Vegas and it's still an insane value. Kudos Village Inn.

Food & service are usually good. The menu is huge and I can't say I've ever had anything bad. I personally hate keno and feel that it's a downfall to any bar experience. There is usually nowhere at the bar to sit and a lot of times the tenders are busy catering to their regulars and their keno needs. The decor is dated and the ambiance leaves plenty to be desired. Lots of t.v.'s for your sporting event needs. Overall it's just o.k.

I confess - I have been starving today BUT this is the second time I have had delivery from Village Inn and I have to say it tasted great. Delivery was very fast (granted, we are just down the street but still a happy customer is a happy customer!) Yesterday I had an excellent Greek salad. Huge portions and fresh ingredients. Top notch. Today I had a garden salad and 1/2 a wet burrito. 1/2 is (to me) enormous. The garden salad was also very large and full of all kinds of things - croutons, tomatoes, carrots, cukes, peppers - so very delicious. Highly recommended local pizza place!

This place needs a menu and decor makeover. The pizza buffet at lunch is good, but the atmosphere is dark, dirty, and outdated. Staff is friendly, beer list could be better (very limited microbrew choices).

Was highly disappointed to find they lied on their website, their mexican food is obviously not made from scratch. Food was delivered ice cold, and service was extremely slow. Basically it is bought precooked and little seasoning is added before they toss it in the microwave. I don't even think Chef Ramsey could fix this Kitchen Nightmare!

Used to be my favorite. Not sure if they have new management or what but food has gone down hill. Too bad cause we used to go there all the time. My wife suggested the other day, I said no thanks based on my last couple of experiences.
