My wife and I have been frequenting this restaurant on a weekly basis since it opened years ago. We like supporting local business. The menu is quit short and simple. You can always find a seat here. My wife when she orders excludes items that don't agree with her. Usually these would be lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Today, she did the same thing and asked if she would be charged for a tablespoon of ranch dressing as she had been every time before. She pays the check so I didn't know this was going on this long. The waitress understood that she was substituting lettuce, tomatoes and pickle for a tablespoon of ranch. The waitress said she would check with the owner Rick. She came back and said that she had to charge .50 cents for a tablespoon of ranch dressing. My wife then said that she didn't want to order, and that we would never be coming back here again. The owner came over and spoke with us, and explained that the reason he won't do substitutions is because their ranch dressing is homemade, and is valued at more than lettuce, tomatoes and pickle. We will not be going back to Turk's.

Tried the ground liver as an appetizer. I know, I know, what was I thinking. Now I know why it wasn't called pate. I'm not sure it had any seasoning... just ground up liver with stale crackers. (How old do crackers have to be to get stale in individually wrapped packets?) The menu changed from what is on their website, and of course what I wanted wasn't available anymore. Listen to the waitress if you ask what she recommends... which is their burger. I ignored her advice and went for their famous steak. Apparently things can be famous for not being good as well as being good. Total disappointment. Others at our table had fish and they seemed pleased. A winner was their apple cider. I'd come back just for that.

We were visiting friends in the Holland area and wanted to go to a family friendly local place. They said we had to go to Turk's! It was great. One of the kids ordered the chicken strips and gobbled them up in no time. They were homemade with more chicken than coating and not spicy. Just right for a wee one. The other child ordered the child-sized steak and it was the perfect portion for her. The adults all had burgers and were very pleased with their choices. The onion rings were especially tasty. This was a nice place- fun decor, friendly waitress, reasonable prices. Everyone left full and happy.

I am 61 years old and have eaten a lot of all in my time. this asparagus omelet was hands down the best on what I've ever had in my life. It was made with asparagus, mushrooms, various cheeses (in our case gouda cheese), with or without potatoes (in ours without). The chef, Eric, has a passion for cooking and has had for his whole life. The omelet was delicious and presentation was very attractive. It was a four egg omelet served with toast & coffee. The service was excellent. Our waitress's name was Shelby and she did an excellent job. Polite friendly and attentive. All of their produce is locally grown year round. From a farm 1 mile up the road with a greenhouse. None of the produce has any preservatives or chemical sprays. At $6.00 an omelet it is in my mind a bargain. It was our first time to Turks. I cannot wait to get back and try their dinner menu. Eric recommends their sizzler steak.

Turks has a nice atmosphere, but it's confusing. I've eaten there several times and have had things I love and then things that I thought were subpar. The wait staff is generally great; though. If you're going to eat here, I'd recommend French toast sticks for breakfast. For lunch, I'd recommend a salad. If you're up for grease; their onion rings are the best in town!

I heard how great Turks is and took a friend there for dinner. I ordered prime rib and was served a thin, dry, overcooked slice of.....meat? Talked to the waitress, she was rude, and the issue didn't get resolved. I won't be going back or recommending this restaurant.

Deep fried foods were REAL greasy as if the oils are not changed weekly as it should be.Luckily the burgers have a lot of toppings and sauces as the meat itself is dry and overdone. Heard from people that worked there, back area is hardly kept clean during hours so food could come into contact with other foods that shouldn't happen. Night kitchen management seems too busy playing with the waitresses ( As I have seen parking the car in the back area when he was smoking and continued on to slap her rear as she was leaving from her shift ) than managing the kitchen area and keeping it clean. This restaurant is definitely going down hill fast in quality. Work staff recently have been turning over quite often might explain some.

Turk's is a great family restaurant and they offer dinner deals throughout the week. I went with my family on a Monday evening for their Burger Madness deal, which is buy one burger get the other for $1.50 (I believe that is the second price). In any case, all of the burgers were under $10 so it ended up being really affordable. I tried the Greek Burger, which is basically a half pound burger served on a hot plate with greek salad over it. It was very delicious and was also a great health-sensitive option for anyone looking to skip the hamburger bun and french fries. Our waitress was very attentive and kept our waters full at all times, which in the summer is a must! The only complaint I have about this place is that the lighting is a bit weird in the back seating area and it felt like I had a spotlight in my eyes, but it could have just been where we were sitting. Next time I will sit out on the patio!

We were delighted with lunch at Turk's Inn. The menu offered a variety of choices and we happened to go on Burger Monday. Buy any burger, get second one for just $1.33. Really. Great burgers (especially Go Big Blue topped with blue cheese, and Rosie burger, with added ham, bacon and cheese) accompanied by seasoned fries or awesome real (not frozen) onion rings. Desert choices included ours, the Michigan blueberry crisp, ala mode, and the carrot cake. Both excellent choices. Add in great service and a waitress who knew her products, and Turk's has rolled a winner for Holland.
