Jackie's has a warm, friendly and clean atmosphere that is good for spending time with family and friends. The quiet. well lighted dining area makes it perfect for conversation over your meal. There is an all-you-can eat special at least on Friday evenings. You have to choice of four or five meats/ fish plus salad, soup, and different types of potatoes. It all comes at a decent price. But, of course, no doggy bags.

Stumbled upon for lunch. Solid salads and homemade breads a nice touch. Attentive service and rapid refills on drinks. Menu items are basic so you'll find something for everyone

I was too lazy to make breakfast today so I decided to give Jackie's one more try for breakfast and see if they could impress me since last time was pretty much a failure. Todays food was much better. Today the white gravy (if it was supposed to be sausage gravy then they failed in getting any sausage in it) on my omelet was not great, but it was much better than on my previous visit and today I can honestly say while it wasn't great it was acceptable. If you look at my previous review you may be wondering why if the food was much better why the overall rating I'm giving Jackie's didn't go up even one star. The reason is that last rating only got a 2 star rating because the server was friendly and made sure I was taken care of during the dining experience. If I had been rating my last visit based on food alone it would have been a one star review. Today the food was up to a solid 2 star level. They really need to focus on the little details like not drowning thin slices of toast in overly salty butter. As I mentioned in my previous review the bread is sliced way too thin for restaurant use. I know that there is pepper on the tables, but if they added even just a very small amount to their cream gravy it would really improve it's flavor. There's just no good reason for a cook to not take the initiative to do even a little very basic seasoning of the food. Yeah, I understand some people are less tolerant of salt and pepper than others, but when I go to a restaurant if I have to put salt and pepper on every item myself I feel like I may as well have stayed home and cooked myself and saved the money since I'm having to sit at the table and do the cooks job of seasoning my meal. Also, they may want to consider finding a different type of sausage for use in their omelets since the sausage is overly salty. Actually it was kind of weird because I tried several pieces of it by itself and some was overly salty and some was very bland in flavor. I wondered if maybe I was just being overly critical and not very salt tolerant myself, but when I compare how salty some of the sausage is here compared to sausage at every other restaurant I've eaten at and some of it here today was considerably more salty than any other restaurant I've eaten at in many years. Again today my server was friendly and made sure I was taken care of which I appreciated, but it's a restaurant and it's just really hard even with good service to give out a rating of any higher than 2 stars when the food needs improvement. Will I become a regular here? That's unlikely, but I do have one more Groupon left to use so it's possible they could still win me over, but I'm not betting on that happening. I really do like the general feel of the place and the servers so I'm hoping they can win me over, but I have doubts about whether they will. This will be my last update for this restaurant unless something major happens on my next visit to change my opinion of Jackie's either for the better or for the worse.

The prices are totally worth coming here for and the quality of the food is pretty good. Their caffeinated drinks were also on point. We had one weird interaction with the waitress where she was just hovering and staring from a few feet away. Had to actually tell her we were doing fine before she left. Also, the Christian music they were playing over the intercom made me sweat like a sinner in church so that was a weird experience... Other than that I see myself coming back if I just want some cheap diner food.

You want breakfast, besides the Windmill Downtown, Jackies is it, can't comment on the other food cause all i order is breakfast, great little place been around for years. gets busy fast so be prepared to wait. Overall pricing is cheap compared to other places around town.

My husband and I rode our bikes to Jackie's for breakfast after devouring some of their muffins at the inn we were staying at. Muffins are delish, but for Me, it was all about the cinnamon roll pancakes. They had a crispy edge that totally made my morning.

Great for Saturday morning breakfast. Can't beat the prices or the pancakes. I love to bring my adult son here, lingering breakfast discussions are good.

Went with a group for lunch. This place is great if you are over 70! Prices are very inexpensive, but you get what you paid for. Chili was horrible, chicken salad sandwiches were "slop" and the club sandwich was packaged lunch meat. They did bring me out 2 pieces of Kraft American cheese because they forgot to put on the sandwich. Too many better places in town.

This is my hometown breakfast spot. I have enjoyed coming here with my dad. We love the paper thin pancakes. They are almost like crepes! My dad describes them as "pan-flavored" - like all the things you've cooked on this pan culminated just adding to the flavor of the pancakes. I mix it up and have gotten the omelettes, biscuits and gravy, the porkchop, and the steak. It's all been really good. They have great deals on specials, too. The staff and service is friendly and quick. The parking lot is usually packed, and there's a line but it moves pretty quick. You go in and sign in your own name. Don't expect someone to do it for you or you'll be waiting a while.

Everything I have ever gotten from here has been on point.. the pancakes are thin and perfectly cooked.. but the southern omelet is where it's at.. the service is always fast and friendly. This is my most favorite breakfast place.

I took the kids here because we had a coupon. We like to experiment with breakfast restaurants and each diner has different preferences. We found the food at Jackie's to be "ok". Nothing wrong, nothing exceptional. The pancakes are mentioned in other reviews and we found them to be boring. The service was indifferent to us at best. The place was crowded and the hostess did not smile, acknowledge my "good morning" or really anything. It was the most minimal contact possible. The same with the waitress. Very little words were spoken and no pleasantries at all. I am not planning on going back. The prices were very reasonable but I'd rather spend a couple of extra bucks to get food with more flavor and a staff that seems happy to have me visit their establishment.

Sometimes it can be crowded and you'll have to wait a bit but the place is large and its worth it. Corn meal pancakes are great and service is always good. They also sell bakery goods at the cash register and the Morning Glory Muffins are awesome!

I like Jackie's for breakfast. Service is fast. Love the cornmeal pancakes - very thin and crispy. Wish they would offer real butter on the side instead of a great big blob of margarine placed on top of your pancakes. Can't leave out that the prices are very reasonable. Also they put a coffee carafe on your table so there's no waiting for refills.

Visited in August. The fried chicken had obviously been sitting under a heating lamp for some time as it was dry and almost warm. The food had very little flavor. It was inexpensive with the coupon and clean. Service was below average...but, fine. Do not plan on returning.

Better than the Windmill. Recently renovated after a fire, it looks GREAT. I've never been there when the place wasn't almost completely full. You gotta try their pancakes which are famous for being thin and crispy.
