GET READY, FOLKS! I'M GONNA TAKE YOU TO HELL! Hell Michigan, that is. Hot damn (zing!) if you're a biker or like biker bars then get thee to the Dam Site Inn. The jukebox is loud and usually plays metal, there's a rowdy group of regulars, a sweetheart of a bartender behind the bar, super cheap and cold PBRs, and more artificial flames than you can shake a fiery devil pitchfork at. If you're weak of heart, beware. The regulars may shout at you (not in a bad way, but be ready to be quick on your toes with a retort) and the bathrooms are not the cleanliest. I also saw a bear of a black dog wandering around leashless when I was there last week. But he was harmless so no fear! Haven't tried the food hear but I'm curious to try a burger. Will do it next time I'm back for more of a rockin' good time!

This place is 6 miles away from the famous Potawatomi trail. After an 18 mile hike, we appreciated a cold beer and food. The chilli was very good, and other items didn't disappoint as well for most in our group. The waitress on a Saturday night was wonderful. Minus points for not taking credit cards, as many people don't carry much cash around.

If you don't expect a lot, you wouldn't be disappointed. Bad service, ok food and very long wait times. The kitchen was out of an ingredient that goes on my order and instead of telling me, they just gave it to me as is. It wasn't until I asked for the missing item, that I was told the kitchen was out. They should have to told me before so I had the option to change my order. We couldn't get a refill during the hour long wait for food and the main waitress was so full of herself and would make a production of being so frustrated over everything. Annoying. Oh and if you are jumpy to the sound of a gun shot, don't go here. While you wait that hour for your food, people will constantly come in and out of the front door to the smoking area and the front door slams like a gun shot everytime. Again annoying and never-racking. I hear their friday fish fry is good, but though it's a quick easy ride from home, we'll skip and hit Zukey Lake tavern next time. too bad too. Dam Site Inn is really not far from our home.

I was surprised to find this place to be better than expected. Food was good and service was quick. It's a biker bar so don't expect something else.

If you enjoy being harassed in the parking lot by the bikers, then this is the place for you. If you don't, I'd highly recommend you avoid it for that point and that point alone. I enjoyed the bar, but the clientele (yes, I understand its a biker bar) is awful. I was called a bitch in the parking lot and grilled about where I live after minding my own business the whole time. For what reason, I have no idea. This came out of the blue. Thanks for being so unwelcoming. It's a shame I have a cottage out there and did used to enjoy going to Hell for ice cream and such. I will not be going back there for this reason. If I can't feel safe going to a place, you can't expect me to return or recommend others go there.

New owner's, rude service, below average food... Sadness overcome's me... Loved the ride, need to find new place in hell to stop.. Cause well this place is now just, dam... I'm really in hell... Even the beer's warm!

Cook is open to requests(most of the time) but otherwise good bar food, also the tacky flame decor has been done away with. New staff and management make for a better experience! Bathrooms are still nasty!! Whole place needs a overhaul otherwise it's a good small town bar. Minimal drink choices. Good live music. Needs covered smoking area!!! This place has potential to be so much more.

My family and I enjoyed this place very much! The food was great and so was the environment! Service was A+. They had a nice looking bar too! If you are ever in Hell, MI. don't pass this place up!

Beer selection was poor, but this place gets good reviews because, let's be real, it's a bar in the middle of an unincorporated area called "Hell, Michigan." Yes, that's right, I am a fan of a place where I can go in the dead of winter and have a beer in Hell, while freezing. Made especially great with the "flame" theme throughout the bar. Word to the wise: don't use the restroom. Ick.

Go to Hell! When you do you have to visit The Dam Site Inn. Hell Michigan is a fun place to visit it's a small town in the "lakes region" north of Ann Arbor. If you're looking for a dive bar the Dam Site will fit the bill. Don't think fine dining, think pub food - burger and a beer. It's a great place to stop for lunch if driving the country roads on a autumn afternoon. The bar is right downtown on Hell Creek. Hell is also a great place to post mail - so next time you have an alimony check to mail, consider sending it from Hell!

Stopped for lunch. The service was just super and friendly! Food excellent-well the hamburg was super along with the french fries! Highly recommended for a nice meal in a friendly spot.

LOVE this place. Getting there is pure heaven. A motorcycle trip through the twists and turns and beautiful woods is as good as it gets. It's in Hell, so of course it's got the quirky, devilish decor. But what do you expect? They have live bands that aren't bad and the service staff is more than just a bunch of waitresses. They actually have personalities and don't mind chatting it up with you while serving ice cold beer. The food is dive bar classic. I love it. Greasy burgers and hot, salty fries. Not bad quesadillas either! It's basically a biker bar, but they don't judge you based on what you're riding (trust me, otherwise they'd probably be laughing at me and my little Kawasaki 440!!).

Had a great surprise 40th b-day party there. If was fitting to turn 40 in Hell. Fun time for all. Good band to dance too. The food and atmosphere were classic. I have brought friends back to enjoy the Hell experience.

One star for effort, one star for the bar, zero stars for the food. The main reason to go here is to tell people you've been to Hell and back. Go for a beer and enjoy the kitschy decor. Beware: the food is hellish.

One star for being in Hell, one star for the decent fries. The food is pretty bad, but its a novelty place anyway.

What a great place!!!! We hosted a trip for our car club to the Dam Site and had a group of 34 attend. We ended up getting there a little early and they were all setup and waiting for us. Every one enjoyed the ride because the scenery and roads out that way are beautiful especially if your driving a sporty car or riding a bike. Every one was extremely happy with the variety and quality of the food and the staff was great. Can't wait to go back again
