My husband and I were very impressed with the prices, the freshness, the quality, and the service at this little restaurant. We would go back anytime we are in the area. It was delicious! They are generous with their toppings and the flavor of the sauces were authentic.

Love this place. As soon as you walk in, you're asked to sit wherever you'd like. We usually choose a corner booth, and someone is there with a bowl of chips and salsa within a minute, ready to take drink orders. The food is consistently good, the veggies are fresh and my wet burrito loaded with cheese just the way I like it. It's not perfect, but it's as close to authentic as I've found so far. Take Out is great too, the containers are stuffed full of beans, rice, and guacamole to fill in what your order doesn't. Prices are fair, and I have never gotten sick while eating here.

Chimichanga is good. But the refill service is slow and all of the non fried food tastes the same. Definitely not authentic Mexican but it's decent. Prices are good. Your clothes will smell like Mexican food all day though

BEST food EVER. My husband and I will drive for an hour one way to get to this place! The food is always consistently amazing. The quality is outstanding and the prices are very fair. We don't come for the atmosphere, we come for the delicious food. Sometimes I wish they would update the interior and make it a bit more eye pleasing but who cares when the food is this good. My husband will literally drink the salsa and we can eat our body weight in those amazing chips they serve. I think that the beans are my fave because they are homemade. I almost always go home with a couple bags of chips, some salsa, and a bowl of beans. I wish they were still open on Sunday since that was our best day to go.

The wet burrito is stuffed full of beans, chicken (beef is also an option), lettuce and cheese. I also enjoyed a side of guac. Service was prompt as was seating. I was with a group of eight which, with the regular lunch crowd, put seating near its capacity. Even so, I was impressed that all orders were correct and came out quickly. Enjoy!

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to in West Michigan. The food is all very fresh and tasty. Hugo (the owner) is very outgoing and personally takes all the orders. The food literally came out piping hot in about 5 minutes. I wish it was located in Grand Rapids because it would be our go to Mexican place.

Service, great... But we were never given refills. Food was very good, we loved the chips and salsa, chimichanga, and enchilada! My refried beans were a little dry, but completely edible. The atmosphere was okay, but since it is a small building it is very tight in there. We were a party of 6, and at a table that was in the center of the main walk way. We had to constantly scoot in right up to the table so staff and customers could come through. Overall, great place, the owner even takes the time to take each order!

This place has been open since before my family moved to Hastings over 30 years ago. It has not changed much in that time and that is fine by me. I love the food and the service is great. Flautas every time.

Busy so it took a while for my food to arrive. Was well worth it though as the food was excellent. Had the chimichunga dinner and it couldn't have been any better. My favorite place was Mexicali in Battle Creek but I don't like their food now with the new owners. This is just like Mexicali used to be so it was great.

Great food. Good quantities. Great service. Ok, here's the reason for three stars. Not a fan of the cheap cafe placemats.

The thing that always gets me about this place is how fast they are: the waiter quickly takes your order and it's like he turns around and has your order already. As a result, I always feel obligated to quickly eat and free up my table.

Excellent food wet burrito Fantastic food! I had the wet burrito dinner and was I in love! I ate the entire burrito and wished their was more! The other people who I was with had a tamale which they said was great and very authentic. The fajitas were good made four and tacos were great too! The food is very authentic, however I was surprised that they did not serve alcohol (especially margaritas or dos equis). We enjoyed our meal and will be back!

Service is great and everyone is friendly but the meat used in the entrees is not good. The food came out too fast which makes me question how fresh it really is. The steak has some kind of seasoning on it that just isn't good. My wife ordered the flautas and they weren't flautas. They were enchiladas without the sauce. A friend of ours got sick 15 minutes after we left. Given all that, I can't possibly recommend this place. All I can say is, stay away!

This place is a gem. Great food, personable owners that really get to know their guests, and a fun place to get together with your family. The flautas are delish, as is the pizza everything else on the menu.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
