Our family of 10 stopped for dinner last night at Jack Pine. I had called ahead to see they could accommodate all of us. They had a table set up when we got there. Not only was the food delicious but the waitress was excellent and got every order correct. But here is the best part--could have been the worst part!! I left my purse on the chair when we left and didn't discover that fact until an hour and a half down the road. We discovered that they found my purse and somehow found my husbands cell number and left a message that they had it. Long story short, wonderful hubby drove back and retrieved it when they opened this morning. I am so thankful to the honest people there and the trouble it must have been to find a phone number. Thank you Jack Pine!!

Discovered this place on the way home from a camping trip and it was worth the jaunt off the freeway... The sausage gravy was good and homemade, the homemade bread is fantastic and everything came out correct. It came out slowly but at least correct. I would definitely go again :)

The food was great, though everything was a little burnt. The staff wasnt as hospitable as I thought they should of been either.

Great Breakfast all day long. Soups are spot on. Prices are as reasonable as you will find anywhere and helpings are very generous. This is where the locals meet and everyone is treated like family. Must eat here when in Harrison.

Food great. Recommend skillet. Well priced! Service mixed. Our waitress did well but coworkers rude. Didn't see any signs about no credit cards, but told rudely at counter "we don't take cards". ATM in restaurant broken. Fortunately we had enough cash. Overall decent breakfast food (all day breakfast) for our 127 drive south.

Stumbled Onto this place in Harrison over Labor Day weekend. Small diner just off the main road in town. In my opinion, the food was better than I expected. Burger tasted great. Fries were just as good. I always like to rate a place by the basic burger/fry combo. I hunt here every November. I plan to be back again in a few months for another meal.

A solid breakfast in small town Harrison. Thanks to Brian S. I found some great places up north for dining and camping...this recommendation did not disappoint. Last year, I had an awful breakfast experience in Harrison, so anything was going to be an improvement I suppose. Jack Pine Restaurant is housed in an unassuming building in centralized intersection. What the place lacks in appearance (inside and out) makes up in soul and homemade cooking. Breakfast service was tasty and quick. Coffee hit the spot. My omelet was prepared beautifully. The biscuit was delish. If you're lucky, you may be able to catch a donut here from the Cops and Donuts bakery in neighboring Clare...they had a few of their pastries in a small case by the register. My favorite part? When I asked for Frank's Red Hot for my omelet, I was brought a huge, costco sized bottle. With a laugh, I realized Jack Pine and I were on the same wavelength. (I l-o-v-e Frank's Red Hot) So glad I have found a worthy alternative for breakfast in Harrison. Thank you Jack Pine (and Brian)!
