Food is always good! Never takes a long time to get your food. Bagels are yum! Staff is very nice. Do have to say, the layout of the place is a bit awkward. Especially trying to get your drink! But doesn't take away from the yumminess of everything.

Consistently great. They do bagels better than the 2 other bagel shops they are neighbors with.

Hadn't been on the east side in awhile. It was summer warm and muggy last week. I'm not a big fan of the high heat and muggy weather, but I go crazy sitting in air conditioning all day. Needed to find a place in the shade with some decent grub and finishing reading Elijah Anderson's book, "Code of the Street: Decency, Violence, and the Moral Life of the Inner City" (shameless plug, but an excellent book). So I headed to Panera Bread. I got my bottled water, the 1/2 salad/1/2 soup combination, and yes the shortbread cookie! I went out the door and to the side patio and found GREAT SHADE!! I ate the food, drank the water, and finished the book. The patio was nice and quiet with modest food traffic on Kercheval. All in all, a nice quiet Wednesday afternoon. With a few more hot days approaching, if you're in Grosse Pointe, make sure to visit this place and enjoy the food and shade.

Went for lunch today and ordered the Turkey Bacon Bravo, for the price it's so worth it! Yes the sandwich's use too be bigger, but still so worth it... The environment was clean & friendly and you can't beat a good cup of java to go with it. I recommend the Hazelnut coffee.

Panera seems to be on short supply in the immediate Detroit vicinity, so this has become a go-to spot for me recently. The exterior is a rare instance of Panera adjusting itself to an existing building, rather than their modern glass windows or standard mall exteriors that are common in many of their other locations. Offers the standbys on the chain's menu, and does it well.

I popped in at lunch and while the wait was a little longer than expected the food was spot on. The one troubling thing would have to be the guest. Granted we're all important but the guests I happened to be waiting with gave the staff, who were trying their best, a passive aggressive hard time. Save for that aspect of my visit it was a good experience.

This Panera is a lot better than the one in Roseville my only complaint is that they do not have a drive thru what is with all the coffee shops in Grosse Pointe... with two kids a hectic schedule and I need for caffeine I find myself passing these establishments up due to lack of convenience

Used to go here a lot when our house was being renovated and I needed a place to wait in between meeting with contractors. As previous reviewers said, (and as I've mentioned in my many reviews of chains in GP) it is pretty standard. Service is friendly and efficient, and the food is what we have all come to expect from panera. Usually I go with a half soup half sandwich deal. And yes, it does get busy during lunch rush hour, but you already knew that right? I haven't been frequenting Panera as much since the house reno mainly because I've been trying to support local, family-owned businesses whenever I eat out (Sprout house cough cough). But I have to give it to Panera for being consistent, fast, and a much healthier option than McDonald's/Wendy's etc when you are on the go and just need something quick. Plus, maybe you will be lucky and overhear a story like I did about how teachers are struggling to get students to take the "Creation Story" literally. Oh GP you crack me up.

Spacious and the waitresses here are very friendly. I was just standing there not close to the register and this young lady asked me if I needed any help. Very polite! The girl who ended up helping me at the register was also very helpful. I ordered a demi-bread and she asked if I wanted it sliced! YES PLEASE! She gave me a plastic bag for the bread and another bag for my entire order. I do have one problem with this store. The register is really close to this pillar which makes it a really tight space.
