Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Great food, good service and friendly staff. We hadn't been to Florentine Ristorante in Grandville in years, our loss. We have been back multiple times lately. We love their garlic bread and appreciate actually talking to the owner abut our dining experience. It's nice to eat at a local establishment that actually makes their food in stead of just opening a box. We love the fresh salad bar (great homemade dressings), I'm a fan of their calzone, pizza and fettuccine (love the homemade Alfredo!). Whether for lunch, dinner or pizza, we are glad to be back frequenting Florentine in Grandville.

Will not be back. Waited almost an hour before we were sat. Waited another hour in between the drinks and food. We were there for my brothers birthday, service was terrible. Got the vegetable lasagna, tasted like frozen vegetables and they were not done, garlic bread was disgusting.. My sister got the chicken alfredo and it was so tasteless and smothered in sauce--So bad that she couldn't finish it. When I complained to the manager was very rude and didn't seem to care about our experience there. The leadership was not like I expected at a sports bar. Needs a new manager and chef.

Let me start out by saying that I live in Florida and I had to plan a bridal shower in michigan. I called a handful of restaurants and found out that I would have to pay a $100 or more$ fee for a party of 30. My budget was $300. I started thinking I wouldn't be able to accommodate that kind of party with so little $$ to work with. Finally I stumbled on Florentines in grandville. They let us use the entire dining room from 12-4 for the shower for FREE!!! We decided that pizza breadsticks and salad was the best way to go. The salad was fresh and they used romaine not iceberg. the pizza was amazing and everyone got a little dish of marinara sauce for the breadsticks. When I got the bill I found out I was a little under my budget. Also the service was amazing! Kelly was extremely helpful and extremely nice! Our waitress holly was outstanding! The bride was thrilled with her shower. Thanks again girls!! You rock

Garlic bread was cold, soup came with dinner instead of before, and server smelled like pot. Will not be back.

Great Italian food done from scratch. Good service, friendly staff. Well worth venturing away from the malls to experience real, local food done right.

Just had an awesome meal here! We use to be regulars and had stopped coming for a while but decided to give it a try again. So glad we did! The ravioli was delicious, homemade pasta and sauce. Husband had spaghetti with meatballs, saucy with homemade pasta and meatballs. This is as authentic as you can get around here. The Caesar salads were very flavorful with good, crisp lettuce. Their homemade garlic bread was awesome. We even liked the house Cabernet, very smooth and fruity without being over sweet. Florentines has been a local favorite and is only a short drive from the mall. It's not a fancy looking place but has been around forever and has quality food. You can enjoy a great meal away from the crowds!

Came back after a long time and nothing has changed. Soda still too expensive. Waitress actually never took my order for food or refilled my drink.

What happened to Florentine in Grandville? Talk about going downhill. Last time we were there was a couple years ago and people in our family still talk about it - mainly because the service was so incredibly sloooooow. Sure - we had 4 adults and 4 kids - but why should we have to wait 45 minutes for ok food? I don't blame our waitress at all - she worked very hard to keep the kids satisfied with breadsticks and refills. Then - all at once - everyone at every table in the room got their food. It was magic. About half-way through the meal she walked by and apologized to us and said that the kitchen had been backed up with to-go orders. To-go orders are more important than a dining room full of people? I let her know that I didn't blame her at all but that to be honest - I didn't give a f*#@ how busy the kitchen was - it was unacceptable. The waitress agreed and apologized again. Then she wiped our order out of the system and said that we shouldn't have to pay for having to wait so long. Needless to say - we left a generous tip for her. What can I say - we haven't been back since. At least they have a nice new sign out front since their old one burned down.
