Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I've been eating Andreas Pizza for over two decades (almost three...), and it is some of the best pizza I've found in Grand Rapids. Even having moved to Chicago I envy those who leave nearby. I trek home simply for the deliciousness of Andreas Pizza. My Golden Retriever, Prince, starts drooling uncontrollably when he smells Andreas- yes- it's THAT GOOD. Mario and Rose are awesome business owners who remember me even though I've moved and are fantastic. They make sure I'm always happy and run a great business- of taking my money for delicious pizza. It's a love hate relationship. Not really, it's just that damn good! I love getting bacon, onion, ham- TRY IT. You'll be in love. I've also had their dinners and even Tiramisu dessert (do they even have this still?) Cheesy garlic bread- I've had it all. This place is one of my all time favorites. If you haven't tried it out and live in Grand Rapids, you should be slapped hard. You've been missing out.

What a joke this place is. Awful service. Don't waste your time. Keep going, way better places in the area then this. Customer service should be number one and with this place this is just not the case. Remember your customers or in this case your former customers are the only reason that you are in business. Had to share so others don't waste their time on this place.

Great pizza is rated on 3 things... sauce, cheese and crust. This place excels in all 3. Friggin incredible and a nice family behind the operation makes it the complete package.

Don't bother ordering a pizza for delivery unless you've got lots of time to wait. I've been waiting over an hour. Called to check and they said they think it's on the way, but they're not sure. ???????

Andrea's Pizza is definitely one of the better places to get a more traditional style pie. While I do prefer the "artisan" type pizzas (think Nantucket or Harmony Brewing Co,) this place definitely satisfies a niche. Quality flour-dusted chewy dough, good sauce and fresh ingredients. Super friendly service every time I've picked up a pizza. I recommend trying a meatball/onion/garlic pie - the best combo I've had from them yet. Also, they have decent coupons online (which you'll need to print off) that make it worth heading off the beaten path into East GR and giving this place a try.

Very good pizza I liked how crispy it is and that it has a gluten free option. I will defiantly be going back for more.

Sausage is homemade and good. Meatballs are also homemade but I didn't like them as well. They have gluten free crust and a large variety of topping choices, like sun-dried tomatoes. Toppings are plentiful. I like some other pizza crusts better but it was fine; crispy on bottom. Staff was nice.

So. Good. We ordered a Sicilian pan pizza with ham, mushrooms, tomatoes, and onions. The sauce is very flavorful without having the bitterness of too much red wine. The cheese is a perfect blend of mozzarella a Parmesan. The toppings were generous. We ordered it to be delivered to our hotel and it took right at an hour. I was a little annoyed, but the pizza was worth the wait. It was still piping hot when it arrived and the outside of the pan crust was still crispy. I normally prefer thin crusts, but this was just perfect.

I have been getting my pizza from here for years... They have very good greasy pizza and the subs are tasty as well. It's a little neighborhood place with very little dining area. I always call ahead and pick up my order. The only reason I did not give this place a five star is several times the staff is very gruff and or overworked and tired. I always order online now so I don't have to deal with person on the other end. If I did not enjoy the food so much I would stop going due to the attitude I get every so often. If you are like me I eat a lot of pizza. Give this place a try.

If I was just rating food i would give Andrea's four stars, but unfortunately they have a few things working against them. First, this pizza shop is crazy expensive for Grand Rapids. Sure they have good food, but there are plenty of paces that have similarly good pizza at much fairer prices. A medium pizza one topping and bread sticks should not cost $20 in GR. Second, as another reviewer stated the staff is really gruff. They seem too stressed out for pizza shop employees. Finally, they keep a tip jar at the counter. There are few things that make me more irrationally upset than tip jars. If these employees aren't making enough than their employer should pay them more, not me. I already feel that the pizza at this place is over priced now I feel they are guilting me into giving more of my money to them. My advice, find somewhere else to get your pizza from.

Andrea's consistently delivers hot pizza with fresh toppings and good flavors. It's not a great place to eat in; the dining area is very small. They also have a gluten free crust which makes me so very happy; I just developed a gluten sensitivity and I love pizza so being able to have all the delicious toppings at a fairly reasonable price. The pizza is a little expensive, but the toppings are premium and I live at an apartment complex that is literally adjacent to Andrea's, so its convenient, too! As far as the staff being gruff, I have never noticed. Some of the guys working in the kitchen are a little quiet when you buy your pizza, but I always figured they just weren't really chatty or something? Its' not much of a problem if you're just picking something up, anyway.

They make some really good pizza at Andrea's. The cheese is really, really good. It almost has a flowery taste to it. They're also generous with their toppings. As someone who isn't a huge meat toppings fan, I actually ordered their meat lovers and was overwhelmed. Perfect for someone really into that. They have a special for an eight dollar, medium, one topping pizza mon-wed that's a pretty good deal. The breadsticks are just ok, nice and fresh tasting but also kind of bland and I got cheese on them.

I will never get over the fact that there are places in Grand Rapids I have never heard of, that are some of the best there is. Such is the case with Andrea's Pizza. "Been there for years", "loving" local following, friends of mine that will tell me "there is none better". All of the above statements turn out to be true. Dear reader....this is a very special pie. When I came in (on a busy Friday night) there were no less than 6 people behind the counter slicing, arranging, kneading, pulling and baking truly hand made pies with "honest to God" better ingredients. I know you hear that all the time... but in this case the cheese IS better, the sausage IS better (they make it) the sauce IS better (they make it) and the dough IS better (ditto). My Pie was a standard pepperoni and sausage. 16.00 for an extra large. Not sure about the comment I read here about it being expensive ....it is not. It is however a better value, in my view, based on the quality. Maybe I can sum it up this way. The first time you go... eat it there. Don't drive home, don't waste time, most of all don't allow the pie to cool. Eat it there to get the full taste of what has been created for you. It is really that good. You will be glad you ate it right out of the oven. WOW!! It is what I plan to do next time and I assure you, there will be a next time....and a next....and a next..........

My go-to local pizza joint. Everything home made. 3.5 stars. Good stuff! You should definitely give it a try.

Delicious every time. Take out pizza or catered Italian dinners, the best.
