Mary, the owner with her husband, are nice and friendly. I have been there a few times and she already knows my name and my kids' names. As far as the hot dogs, she has plenty of toppings available. Be sure to get the chili! I'm normally not into chili on my dogs, but it is delicious! You can get your choice of regular dogs, all beef dogs, and whatever tapping you want (unlike other places where you get certain toppings). Be sure to try the wonderful, homemade, Vietnamese spring rolls!

Small little place with a generic atmosphere. Looked like the buns and dogs were store bought. The food was not bad and they have s good selection of toppings. Prices definitely are not bad either. Look like they fried the fries to order and it took a few minutes for them. If I'm in the south side of town and hungry I will stop here again.

I went for lunch, I had the number 1 with cheese on my fries. They are standard hot dogs but the buns were soft the chili had good flavor and I liked the fries with cheese sauce on them. If you like all beef hot dogs you can upgrade for 25 cents more. They also had a hot dog eating contest that if you can eat x amount of hot dogs in 20 minutes you win some money. I would definitely go back again.

We came here based on Yelp reviews & a friends glowing review. But with GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT, this place is more hype then anything! This was not worth our wait, time, or money!!!!! The price is steep compared to what you get (my family of 4 went home hungry), the food is blah (you can make the same at home, but better!)! The restaurant was DIRTY, needs updating & repairs! We ordered one of the family packs (included: 6 dogs, 3 fries, 3 cookies, 3 drinks for $17.99 (w/o tax!). Needless to say NOT WORTH THE PRICE! Everything is basically store bought, nothing special. Yes, they have a lot of toppings you can add but still not worth it for us.

Firstly, I am not a big fan of hot dogs in general. I think they are ok. However, All American Hot Dogs is different. They have so many dog options and toppings. I love that you can make your own hot dogs, after all we have different taste buds. They also have great chicken tenders. I was also lucky to get a warm chocolate chip cookie. It was heaven, could have eaten a dozen of those cookies. They have delicious egg rolls and shakes as well. Try everything, you won't be disappointed. The owners are friendly and I always get great service when I am there. The place is clean and you do get good value for your money. Anytime I am in Grand Rapids, I always visit this place at least once. Highly recommended.

Went there a few nights ago and liked it, so I went back today and now I love it. My favorite part is probably all of the free toppings. They are very reasonably priced and always show friendly, personable service. The CBR (cheddar bacon ranch) fries are as good, if not better than they sound. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes a good hot dog.

These chili dogs are good, but not great. Pretty much what I expected. The dog was pretty decent. The chili wasn't amazing (canned?) but it did the trick. The choice of toppings was quite nice though. I had the chips and cheese with my dogs which was just ok. Next time I will have to get a milk shake. For what they charge you get a decent meal. No real complaints.

We came here based on the Yelp reviews. Maria had the chili dog & chili fries. She said they were good but not as good As Wendy's chili fries. I had 2 kraut dogs & fries. They were good though the hot dogs were small. Good but nothing special.

My husband took me into this strip mall hog dog place on our way out of town. I spent the next 5 days of my trip wishing I could go back and have two of their hot dogs and/or chili dogs! I don't know why or how but they are somehow lighter tasting... absolutely delicious!

If you are hungry for a true chili dog and you're on the south side of Kentwood, you need look no farther than All American Chili Dog. This restaurant is truly an all American family run business and as such is ran like one. The staff is always friendly and remembers their returning customers. My six year old son is on a first name basis with Peter, the owner, and most of the staff. My son likes going to All American Chili Dog for the bacon cheddar ranch fries, while the rest of us order the dogs and get to choose from over 20 free toppings to put on them. Someone in your group that is not into hot dogs? No problem, they have quite an extensive menu to choose from, including 'veggie dogs'. Feeling really hungry? Then you might be interested in getting your name on their Wall of Fame; ask the staff about the details. It won't cost much to get your name there because the dogs are so reasonably priced. Don't have a bunch of cash on you at the time? No problem, they take Visa and Mastercard. If you are feeding a big group they do have great specials for tail-gaters or they offer catering services. So if you want to look at antiques, get blunt or rude service, or throw your change around then this is not the place for you. If you want really great hot dogs with unlimited toppings, fast and friendly service in a clean atmosphere that is family friendly, and not have to spend a lot of cash; then there is a seat waiting for you at All American Chili Dogs. This is a solid coney dog. The chili is mildly spiced, but they have a variety of hot sauces for those of you who like to spice it up. Not as good as Lafayette in Detroit (Lafayette over American any day of the week), but I would recommend this to anyone I liked. Think subway for hot dogs. You order at the first corner of the counter, they have a variety of hot dog friendly toppings, and the fries usually come out about 3 minutes after you've sat down. I have yet to try to bacon, cheddar, ranch fries. I'd imagine they're pretty good. I would stop reading this and just go there if I were you.

We stopped in for dinner last night, and everything was as excellent as I remembered! I got 3 dogs with chili, cheese, onion, shredded dill pickle, and jalapeno, with onion rings and a vanilla coke. Paradise on wax paper. I love it. So does every single person I bring with me.

Tucked in a strip mall on Kalamazoo south of M6, east side of the road. Dogs are good. You order off the menu, but then they top it with whatever you want. Think Subway for hot dogs. No funky vibe or cool atmosphere here, it's more like a K-Mart cafeteria, but the dogs were decent. I also had the chili cheese ranch fries that I'm sure took a few years off my life, but they were tasty. Enjoy!

If you want something quick, inexpensive and outside of the fast food ordinary, this is a good choice. Always clean and friendly with great chili dogs. Park in Wendy's lot.
