Fred's is the best around!! I have been coming here sense the day they opened! Great quality pizza & great Fred's Bread! I recommend adding bacon to the Fred's Bread because it makes it even more amazing! Definitely a local favorite!

With watching what we have been eating this past year, the wife and I decided to have a bit of a cheat night and get a Small Cheese Pizza and Julienne Salad from Freds and were told it would be about 15 minutes. Knowing from past experiences we always tack on 5 additional minutes to the quote because we usually end up getting there and waiting for a bit. The wife leaves and gets there after the allotted adjusted time, pays and then is told with a half hearted apology that the order hadn't even been started yet because the driver in charge of making it left. So now she has to wait another 15 minutes for it to be made. This isn't the first time we have had to wait. Like I said we usually have had to tack on extra time because they never seem to be able to follow through on their quoted time. As for the pizza, it was just meh. The crust was barely cooked and was bland and had no color or crunch to it like it used to. It looked like a pizza you'd attempt to make yourself at home. Just overall it was a huge letdown and left us unsatisfied on our rare cheat day. The salad was decent, but I found part of the shell from the hard boiled egg that comes in it. Green Lantern is now probably the best place in the area, but if you are willing to travel a bit, Tivoli in Utica is worth the drive. You can't beat their real wood fire pizza and the fact they allow you to bring in outside adult beverages to enjoy with your food.

I was hoping to find a good place to get my pizza ever since Fantastic Pizza went out of business. This place didn't fit the search. The pizza would have been better if they would have put more sauce on it. The bread sticks were burnt and didn't have any taste at all to them. This is what I get for not listening to the low rated reviews listed here. This explains why I was the ONLY one there when I pulled into their parking lot at 5:30pm on a Sunday afternoon.

Haven't tasted the pizza yet... But they forgot to spray the pan... Pizzas ruined and are making a new one and now 45 mins in they have the audacity to offer me a free 2 liter... This better be GOOD pizza

Best pizza in Metro-Detroit. Love this place. 8 bucks for an amazing deep dish. They never let me down. i'm not sure why this place is better than others. Some reason it just hits the spot.

Fred's pies are fantastic! Simple, fresh, plentiful and inexpensive; they really do represent a great value. Everything we've had here has been delicious, well prepared and piping hot! Not only have I been to plenty pizza joints in my time, I used to work at one. Cleanliness is A number 1 on my list; the first thing I look for when I go to any restaurant, *especially* a carryout place (Chinese, Pizza etc...). It's sad that I have to say that, but I've been to one too many dirty places to know one immediately... needless to say, Fred's is nice and clean. The staff has always been friendly and competent as well; one of the few pizza places that haven't botched a simple pizza order. They don't skimp on the toppings, the sauce is very flavorful, the dough is never raw in the middle and the cheese is always melted evenly. You'd be surprised at how many "other" places can't get pizza right, but Fred's does! If you're looking for a new pizza place to try on a whim, I would highly recommend them!

It was just - average. Had a simple cheese and pepperoni off a coupon and it did not seem exciting. No wow factor. The sauce seemed sweet and similar to most other pizza joints. I probably will not be back. Service was average.

Fred pizza is what you'd expect from any pizza joint. Nice think bread, crunchy crust and just the right. Amount of cheese and toppings.

Fred's can make some great pizzas, but a few times the pizza has been mediocre. It won't stop me from going here, but I have been going less because of this.

The Hubs and I tried this place out on a whim. He usually picks up some brews at the shop next door, wanted pizza one night and remembered this place. Best decision ever! Ordered a square with old fashion pepperoni! It was great! We also got an order of cheese bread. You could tell the dough was fresh, chewy and soft. I literally passed 4 other pizza places on my way to Fred's, but it was well worth it. The Chicago style looks great....that will be the next order! :-)

Pizza was/is wonderful, but the antipasto salad is the BEST! They take their time and give you a very picture perfect salad...next time I will try to take a picture. :) Also, their gourmet pizzas are worth a try. We enjoy the white pizza with artichoke added on. Yummy! On a side note, after reading another review...I also do the punch card, but I don't mind that they only punch it once, I am grateful that they offer it at all. Thank you!

First,I fail to see the difference between punches for ten $10 visits ( ten punches) and one $100 visit (one punch) other than it doesn't pay for me to order $100 worth of food. I am a businees owner, and if I were to raise my voice and tell a paying customer "YOU obviously don't get it because you are standing here arguing with me and I explained it three times!!!!!" I wouldn't be in business very long, no matter the quality of my product. I found myself apologizing, AS THE CUSTOMER, for asking a question that to me makes sense. Regardless of that, who yells at a customer?????Seriously? I do not yell at anyone, as it gets you nowhere, so I do not appreciate be yelled at, especially after I just handed you my hard earned money. Sorry, but the best food isn't worth being treated as if YOU are doing ME favor by making my pizza. I've already begun telling the many friends I referred to Freds to avoid it and patronize Green Lantern where the cutomer is treated with respect and their patronage is appreciated...... Customer service goes a long way, especially when you are in a flooded market like pizza...maybe once word gets around about the horrible customer service and absolutely rude staff and your numbers decline ,you'll figure it out.

1st time here, 1st customer through the door, very quiet, a little weird. Ordered the Chicago stuffed with cheese and pepperoni we shall see how this turns out for me........Well had the pizza and I can for sure say, that this is a parody of the Sbarro double crust pizza that they used to sell at the mall. However I did enjoy the pizza, the taste was good but I just hate when places advertise Chicago Stuffed pizzas when it's obvious they've never set foot in a real Chicago pizza joint. If you want a nice regular pizza this place was A-OK.

Good pie! Sells slices as you desire. Example- 3 or 5 and puts them in a box. Always fresh and I really enjoy this place. Hard to believe I have been going there for 5 years but time passes quick!

Fred's Pizza is in the spot of a few unsuccessful pizza places over the years. I figured this Fred's Pizza wouldn't be any different, and another one will take it's place soon. My parents live around the corner, so we decided to give them a try after my friends raved about their pizza. The first time my parents tried it, they weren't really impressed. They ordered again, trying their BLT pizza, and became instant fans. So, today we ordered the BLT pizza and the Meat Extreme pizza, both square. I've never had a BLT pizza. I gotta say...it was damn good. The crust was thick, cooked perfectly, and just the right amount of BLT...plenty of bacon, and freshly chopped lettuce & tomatoes. I tried the Meat Extreme, although it's not my thing, it was also very good. The husband is very picky, so that was for him. We also ordered Fred's Bread, which is a blend of cheese & garlic butter. I liked that the cheese was baked in the bread, not slapped on top & thrown in the oven. While Fred's Pizza (or Pizzeria) doesn't look like much from the outside, it was a very nice surprise. There are a few tables to sit down and eat, although it's really better for carry-out or delivery. The menu is pretty extensive and lots of toppings to choose from. Don't hesitate to try it!

Fred's pizza is the best I've found in Macomb county period (and I've eaten A LOT of pizza). From the always perfect crust, to the homemade sauce, the REAL cheese and the fresh toppings, you won't find a better pie around. Yes, it's just that damn good! The oven baked "Jumbo wings" are huge, probably twice as large as you're used to getting from a pizza place. Haven't tried the calzones yet, I'll update when I do. Next time you decide to grab one of those "$5 grab it and go pizzas" spend the extra buck and get one from Fred's, you wont be disappointed.

I'm confused. My taste buds taste a GOOD quality pizza that is restaurant quality. But instead it's take-out pizza at an affordable price. WHA?! Fred's pizza is definitely the best carry-out pizza I've ever had, hands down. They use good quality ingredients, and they have a good variety of gourmet pizzas too. We tried the Chicago Stuffed pizza, and the Chicken Parmesan pizza. SO good!! Usually I don't like stuffed crust. It always sounds better than it actually tastes (like Pizza Hut's). But this was extremely tasty. No fake cheese here! The small Chicago stuffed pizza is pretty big, and extremely filling. It's more than enough for two people to share. Most importantly, they aren't afraid to hold back on the garlic. The chicken parmesan had the perfect amount of garlic. My Italian father is so excited about this pizza, and he's one hard person to please.

I was out dropping off some work items to my bosses house while she was out sick, and afterwards I was really feeling some food. I had the rest of the night off, getting text messages from my roommates asking what we were doing for dinner, and getting annoyed. I asked my boss if there was anything unique in the area that I needed to try, and she recommended Freds. My oh my, thank you! I haven't been back in the area to try anything else, but I love smaller mom and pop style pizzerias like this one. I also found out that this great suggestion had a Mobibo deal for free cheese bread, and I was already excited that I was getting something free for trying it out. I don't usually try deep dishes from most places, as PizzaPapalis has ruined that for all of them. But this place seemed different. I said why not, and ordered a Chicago stuffed style pizza from them, meat lover's style (I prefer pepp and mushroom, but that doesn't fly with roommates). Well, this might have been the best decision I had made in some time. My roommates were loving the pizza I brought home. They were digging on the cheese bread. And I was digging the fact that I got them both to pay for this pizza because I went and brought it home, and told them we each owed $8 bucks for food. They were so memorized by the food, they didn't even question the bill (it didn't even come to $16, but I made them pay for gas too). If I eat any other deep dish pizza besides Papalis, it will be from Fred's. You can't go wrong here, especially for the price. It was so cheesy and flavorful, wow. I plan to go back and try the calzones, but I highly recommend trying their Chicago style if you are in the area or looking for good Chicago style pizza!

Have had pizza at the new Shelby twp location a couple of times. Pizza and salad are both very good. However service sucks. Don't tell me 45 mins for delivery and show up 1-1/2hrs later with cold pizza (and expect a tip). Was tod the manager would call, but never did. Well be going back to jets

In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types.
