The only fast food restaurant I know that you can get a boston cooler (vanilla ice cream and vernors) at! I drive an hour to get this creamy concoction... I could just make it myself, but something about theirs.. soo tasty! The fries are fab as well! Credible crunch, perfectly potato-y, and barely ever burned. "MMm, these fries are good." "Debbie, I thought you said you were going on a diet..." "If you like them so much why don't you marry them?" "LAY OFF ME, I'M STARVING!!" oooh gap girls of snl.

I was in town and heard this was amazing. This place is decent, not great. The fries definitely are better than the burgers. I had a Georgie Peach shake which was also good. The burger is average. It definitely is fresher than a McDonald's/BK burger but nothing to drive across town to go get

I haven't lived in Michigan for years, but can still almost taste those Halo Burgers. Yum. We never bothered to hit any of the major burger chains with HB in town because the burgers are so much better, fresher, and biggger. If you don't live in the area but are ever around the Flint, Mi area (and aren't a vegetarian, of course) give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

I can't believe some of the other reviews here. I don't really care about their "boston cooler", It's a burger place... I care about their hamburgers, and they are disgusting. The burgers are smaller then even McDonald's, as far as the actual patty goes. It is also dry, and rubbery, which seems somewhat impossible, given the amount of greese. Terrible quality and over-priced, as well. A huge disappointment, and probably why it is such an unsuccessful business. You could listen to me, or listen to the employees here that gave it 5 stars, but why don't you go see for yourself. Just make sure you keep that paperbag they'll hand you your food in. You'll need it. P.S. In all fairness, the fries are actually pretty good, but I am a lover of hamburgers, and these are not worthy of the name.

This is the best fast food burger in town. Get the chili cheese fries for the ultimate gut bomb.

Not the same since it was sold to the new company. STALE buns, sent burger back and it was still wrong but by the time I got it I had it to go because everyone else was done. All new workers and when under old mgmt the workers would stay for years/ decades. Workers were slow & acted confused. We lost a great place, now have to settle for a poor substitute.

OMG!!! This is my weakness. I live in Arizona now and my family taunts me by posting pics of their visits to Halo Burger on their facebook pages!!! The Q.P. Is amazing! There is no burger like it! It's like homemade! I'm not sure what they do, but mayo, mustard and pickles taste so much better on their burgers! If you are ever near Flint, Michigan this should be a mandatory stop! We were there in October for 9 days and I had it 3 times!!! So good!

QP Supreme! Best burger in Flint and do not forget the Boston Cooler

Is it fastfood? Yes. Does it such and seem totally terrible for you? No. It's a little pricy and a little more flavor would be nice... but it tastes real and I didn't feel assy afterwards. I used to go to Halo when I was a kid... When I went to my dentist in flint. Good to see them coming back.

Quality has gone down immensely since a change in ownership. Also, I AM SO MAD THEY CHANGED THEIR CHICKEN NUGGETS!!!! Bring back the Dino nuggets! #kidatheart

Real disappointed since the Dorches purchased it. LG Boston cooler is kid sized. No more cherry vernors. Gonna be just like subway real soon.

I wondered why the parking lot was quiet on a Friday night, and now I know why if what I experienced is normal. The food itself was ok/average...1) if you ever get it and 2) if they give you the right order. Let's hope they were off their game on Friday, May 30. First, we went in versus ordering via the drive-thru. It was a good thing we did so. Another patron from the drive-thru had to circle in and come back into the restaurant because they received the wrong burger. This, of course, after what he described as a long wait. The gentleman taking our order must have been new. He clearly had a hard time taking our order (for

I had to eat at this Flint institution while on a recent business trip. This is your classic, old school burger place with a simple menu and some quirky items to make them memorable. Apparently they specialize in olive burgers? But I can't have any of that so it was a double bacon burger for me (with the fried jalapenos). The burger was good and surprisingly not overly greasy. Same with the fries. Other good things to know: they have drive thru and if you check in on foursquare you can get a free Boston cooler.

Only burger joint I know where you can get heaps of green olives on your burger. Most bangin' burgers anywhere. Best Boston Coolers Even the fries are great. The only bad thing about this place is that I have to come back to Flint to score a QP.

Oh ya baby! Value, value, value! I mean you can't go wrong here with a great burger type meal for the low prices. Great tasting food. I recommend

Simply the best burger Flint has to offer. Weird that some reviewers thought it was overpriced... If a couple bucks is too much for a burger, they should stick to Taco Bell.

I misssss my Halo Burgers. I don't miss Michigan...but I do miss that "red cow with the halo". Yeah...that's tha' logo that lets you know you have arrived at hamburger heaven. Ummmmm...no pre-frozen beef patties here. They just pull off big chunks of ground beef, tho' it on tha' grill and fry it. If you looking for lean hambuger...move on. A good hamburger has to have fat in it. That's where the flavor is at. So no 85/15 ratio here. I'm thinkin' maybe 85/20. No salt on the meat. Just pure unadulterated goodness. If you get a good cook who reaaallly knows what they are doin', that burger will be delivered to you with slight crisp edges...not burnt but that fried goodness that you get or use ta' get when grandma cooks it on that old 30 year old skillet that was passed down from her moma. **Some of you understand ...you know-- the grandma your friend had whose house waaaassssn't quite that tidy...but you was hungry as heck and she fixed you that hamburger and you near bout chewed your arm off down to the elbow. Dats whats up. I now live in Lakewood, WA (sigh) but I had moved from Flint to Pontiac. I would crave a Halo but didn't feel like driving and make my own. Somethin' noooot quite right. When I go to see my son in Flint that was our treat together...Halo. The hamburgers are pricey...but look your gettin: fresh ground beef, on soft sesame buns, mayo, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onions & then there's the extra's: mushrooms, banana peppers, green sliced olives and bacon etc. I always get a "Supreme" (cut in half). That's a 1/2 pound of ground beef, with the 'works' and cheese plus green olives, banana peppers (bacon sometimes). I get a large fry (which are never burnt) and 'meaty' themselves and I wash my happy pallet down with either a Vernor's and fruit punch mix OR a 'Boston Cooler'. After that just roll me over an rub my big piggy belly til I go to sleep cuz I am happy and full. Did I say I miss Halo Burger? Oh--and if you want to put a Big Mac to shame...order a "Beefy Double Combo". Ummmm...it comes with about 4 or 5 not to thin, fresh hamburger patties sandwiched betwixt three buns w/ lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup and mustard. I think some type of dressing is on there well maybe not but they are yummmmmie. Big Mac who? Oh...and maybe your thinkin' "what is a Vernor's"...well that's just another piece of goodness that Michigan holds the title for. It is the king of Ginger ale pops (or sodas...whatever). Use ta' be that it held so much ginger in it that once opened, if you smelled it...it would singe you nose hairs. Not so potent anymore but still got that carmelly, gingery goodness that makes a Boston Cooler...a Boston Cooler. Great for colds as wells. The one on Pierson Rd has outdoor seating...I think. A couple locations are 24 hrs. Sigggghhhhhh...Did I say--I MISS HALO BURGERS. :-(

"Seven days without Halo Burger makes one weak!" Halo Burger is a joint in Flint that was founded in Flint and stayed in Flint and the surrounding area, but it is the best fast food burger EVER. Yes, I said EVER. That stuff tastes home made. I grew up right across the street from this location. I am getting angry writing this review because it is making me salivate. Their fries are good, their burgers are good, their milkshakes are phenomenal. You can get olives on your burger if you want. They've got Vernor's, too. If you want a real Flint dining experience, come here for lunch and then La Familia's for dinner. According to their website, they have Play Places and party packages. I only mention this because the birthday goodie bag includes a T-shirt, something that I want to look into because I would wear that T-shirt proudly. Note: Halo Burger makes an appearance in the Will Ferrell movie Semi-Pro.

a main point of a trip to visit the fam is a trip to halo burger for a beefy double cheese with extra mayo, onion rings and a boston cooler. sometimes the thought of halo burger will pop in my head and i have to try to satisfy my craving with an in-n-out burger and each time i have to cry a little bit inside. do they still sell the t-shirts?
