Been here a few times before and never had any issues. Last time wasn't really that great. I had planned on eating in the restaurant, so I went inside and walked up to the counter and was ready to order. Their employee said I'll be right with you and started working on drive thru orders. The place wasn't busy and I was the only person in line to order. Same thing happened 3 more times - hand out a drive thru order, say ill be right with you. I gave up and started walking out. The girl behind the counter yells out I can still take your order. I was grouchy by then, and said ill just go through the drive thru- maybe then ill get decent service. I pulled around toward the drive thru and decided to venture on down the road.

Love this place, have been waiting a long time to come back to Michigan to eat here again. It's just as heavenly as I remember!

I was heading up North on the Harley and saw the Halo Burger signs and decided to take a break and try one of these babies. I've driven by that sign a hundred times and thought about a Halo Burger each time. I was on a leisurely ride for a change and went for it. I turned the wrong way off the freeway and took a tour through part of Flint before I got my bearings and made it to the restaurant. I ordered the Double Supreme combo and enjoyed the meal. It was good, but not worth a special trip of at least an hour for it. They even have an olive burger which didn't sound good to me at all. I'll go 3 stars, but probably won't be back...

Like the saying goes, "7 days without a Halo Burger makes one weak!" couldn't be any more spot on! When I think of Flint, MI I think of 3 things; General Motors, Michael Moore, and never leave your house unlocked! But if I was to think of a 4th, it would be Halo Burger! I've tasted burgers as far east as Boston & New York to as west as Las Vegas, and this is one of the best! There's something about their combination of the meat with onions and cheese (olives optional) that makes this burger joint what it is today. They've ben serving quality since 1929 and after you eat there it's apparent why this place is still in business. It's been rated Michigan's Best Burger in 2009 for a reason, and their double decker is their proof! I lived in Lapeer, MI most of my life (15 miles East) and whenever I made a visit into the craziness of Flint Town, I always found my oasis at Halo burger. If you're ever in the area, (perhaps to check out Genesee Valley Mall) be sure to make this place apart of your agenda. Also, I'd like to give a shout out to my boys the Gallinats. -Luea

What happened to you? You used to be beautiful...you have changed. I went in and tried the Halopeno Burger, I ordered it with cheddar instead of jack cheese, and add olives. I don't understand when I got my receipt that I was charged a dollar extra for swapping cheese. Hmm honest mistake. When I opened the wrapper, no olives...honest mistake. Well I did receive my olives but my burger seemed like someone squeezed it in their hand. the meat was in five peices, and it was mushy, also my olives were drenched with water, and the Halopenos, looked like someone chewed them up and spit them out. $6.50 for that? what the hell? come on Halo!!

Dear Halo Burger: I love you. x0x0, Lindsey But seriously, their burgers are delicious! This is a classic if you are in the Flint, Michigan area. I always get the same thing: hambuger, fries and a boston cooler. Hamburger: the bun & burger always have a great flavor. Amazing flavor! A classic Michigan thang is to add Green Olives to your burger. If you like Olives- you won't be sorry. I'm not an olive person, but once and a while, I crave the saltyness of this on my burger. Fries: greatness! Seriously, their fries are perfect in every way. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, great flavor. Boston Cooler: So, again a Michigan thang- Vernor's. It's probably the best ginger ale you will ever have in your life. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ve… It's a staple that everyone has in their house in Michigan... really good for upset stomachs, vernor's floats, and just good for plain ol' drinking. Anyways, Halo Burger has Vernor's & Vanilla Ice Cream mixed up in this machine. I don't want to call it a shake, because its not thick and melty like a shake. Its a little foamy and light and holds its consistency. I wish that the Thomas' would open some locations in Las Vegas so I could go there at least once a week.

Halo Burger truly is absolutely disgusting. If you enjoy McDonald's or Burger King, but have never had the dubious honor of eating at Halo Burger, please lower your expectations in advance. I do not understand how anyone can give this place 5 stars. I imagine it must be a cultural consideration. It seems as though if you were not raised on this stuff, it will leave you feeling ill. The burgers are greasy.... extremely greasy and just horrible tasting. The fries are alright... but it's called Halo Burger.... and these burgers are sure as hell not from heaven.

This is a pretty decent place. Service was very slow but I know why. Only 1 person running the whole show. Food was very delicious and it was worth the wait. Please higher another person to help you out. If you have overlap, they could use the time to clean some tables and floors. I wish you guys success.

I stopped in for a taste of classic Flint: a Halo Burger Q.P. (added olives for 36 cents), accompanied by a Vernor's and Vanilla Cooler. The burger wasn't thick or pink like a Red Robin burger, but it's not as expensive, either. Still good, after all these years.

This Halo Burger is the best Halo...all of you locals need to recognize! This HB has the playscape and the gift shop. If you sit by the window on the North side, you can watch all of the the girlfriends and baby mommas walking into Sprint to pay the cell phone bills for thier playa/gangsta boyfriends.

This place while never a great burger place used have a good burger. No more. You can get a burger that's not burned if you get at the end of a line of people ordering them. Other wise you will get a burger that has sat 'warming' on the grill until it a burnt cinder. I don't know how they burn the onion rings but they do. I took both my wife's and my rings back and guess what. Replaced by more burnt ones. I'm now at a loss for a good burger in flint.
