Well this was second time here in the last few months. I'm not even sure why I went back other than it was local and close to home and I believe in second chances. However I will not be going back. I didn't leave a bad review the first time because I wouldn't want someone leaving me a bad review just because I was having an off day. So I will review all in! The first visit we went in and they had a small kitchen fire (so they said) we were very patient I had my two boys with us, and all we ordered was a typical breakfast. It took over an hour to receive our food. Never received any special discounts or anything (not that we were looking for a handout) If anything I did feel bad for our waitress at this visit, she was very apologetic. We know it wasn't her fault but no manager in site. The second experience which was today we were seated pretty quickly but it took over 15 minutes before we were even greeted by our server. We jokingly said we should time our food today. The order was placed at 2:30. We had finished our drinks at 2:50. Our waitress finally came back around and offered us some bread because of the delay and we looked around and noticed we weren't the only waiting for our food. At 3:10 we finally made the decision since our waitress hadn't came back we would just leave at that point. When we walked out to the front there wasn't even anyone at the register to pay for our drinks. We were tired of waiting. What a disappointment. The sad part is there were only 3 tables in our section that were filled, we would be a lot more understanding if it were completely packed.

Walked in at 11:25 Saturday morning. Lobby was full but not because thet were busy. No becuase they had 8 tables that had not been bussed. People were getting upset. There was no hostess taking names. It was chaos. Poor management. Food was good as it always is.

I read some of the other reviews and I am genuinely shocked. I have gotten nothing but top shelf service anytime I have ever gone to the Bob Evans on Center Rd. In fact whomever I have the pleasure of being served by seems to go above and beyond to accomadate me and assure that I have a wonderful dining experience. Ms. Michelle often is the one to greet me at the door and show me to my seat. She has the most pleasant demeanor always making me feel more than welcomed when I enter. After being seated I have always quickly been given a glass of ice water without request only to have my server, be it Rachel, India, Candice, Ms Cheri, or Christie , offer me a hot cup of coffee which is more often than not a fresh pot. I can honestly say that I have never had a negative experience since this location was remodeled, in fact I've had the very opposite. That very reason is why I have on many occasions chosen to sit and dine here rather than other places as I have found the staff that remarkable.

I normally would give more than one star for the simple fact that the food is typically on point at this location, but my husband and I have been here so many times and received the worst service that we finally had enough and made the decision to NEVER go back. For some reason every time we decide we want breakfast, it's like amnesia kicks in and we head to this location. It won't happen again. I've seen multiple tables sit dirty after the guests leave (for over 15 minutes). This definitely isn't okay when there is a huge wait in the lobby. No exaggeration, I have watched more than a handful of guests get up and walk out because no one ever came to wait on them. I watched one couple actually find a manager and tell them they hadn't been waited on (after 10 minutes of sitting there). He got them their drinks, and then they sat for another 15 minutes. When they finally decided they had enough, they tracked him down to let him know that no one ever came over so they were leaving. He just said, "okay!" and they walked out! This is a regular thing here... no kidding. For some reason, when one of the managers is there, the restaurant seems to run a little smoother. He has a strange personality, but he is working hard every time I see him (bussing tables, seating guests, cashing people out, helping in the kitchen... he's all over the place!). However, this doesn't help most of the servers to have a clue what they're doing. We've had multiple servers at this location, and we've had ONE that was worth tipping my standard 25%. There is a host who is there every time I'm there. Sweet kid... but his name is "Wisdom" and I think his parents were a little presumptuous in naming him that. He's just lost. He never knows what's going on. He'll help someone who just walked in before someone who has been waiting for over 15 minutes (again, this has happened multiple times). My husband finally complained to a manager one day when picking up a takeout. He was there for over 45 minutes trying to pick up a takeout that we ordered well ahead of time. They were supposed to send us some coupons for the inconvenience. Never happened, which is fine because we won't be returning anyways.

Walked in on a slower Sunday afternoon to an understaffed restaurant. Our server was unorganized and didn't see much of her. On top of all that, the restaurant was out of sausage. How does a Bob Evans run out of their staple item?!? Note: the managers are completely MIA at this location. I saw her come out once to get a drink. I always dread coming to this place.

They still make a good breakfast so I like to stop here whenever I'm in the area. This time I tried the new banana caramel pancakes with Turkey sausage links. Fabulous! The service is generally fast and friendly.

I agree with everyone's 1 star reviews. Service was very slow! I was so mad I put honey underneath the salt and pepper shakers and the containers that hold the sugar packets so the employees could actually work for their money.My mom says there so nasty it is probably still there after 6 months.
