I've seen the signs off the freeway and thought I'd give it a shot. The place is clean and it all look relativity new. I tried the original with sauce. The bread was soft and plenty of meat. It was really good and service was quick. I would stop here again for sure. I don't knew whether to comment on the service or not. I was fast service, but I found it a little rude. Big John may need to teach hellos and goodbyes. I won't hold back stars for it,because it's basically fast food, being that the food tasted good I can't complain.

Too expensive! These sandwiches are too expensive for the quality of sandwich provided. I made the mistake of visiting during a Non-busy time of day. They used left over meat and did not make my sandwich using freshly cooked steak. Instead, they used meat that had already been cooked and had been sitting for a while. As a result, the sandwich was just so-so and cost over $8! For the quality of meat provided they need to lower the prices of these over priced sandwiches. Big John's used to be a lot better in the early 80s. I will not be going back!

This place came VERY highly recommended to me - so when I found myself in the Flint area, I decided to give them a try. The verdict? They were good. Not amazing, but solid. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the sauce was similar to Arby's sauce. The only toppings you could get on the sub were hot peppers; I thought that was strange, but I suppose it's good in it's simplicity. They offered chips as a side to make it a combo meal.

Delicious! Must visit when were in Michigan. And don't skip the red sauce!!! Staff is quick, efficient and clean. Location is clean too.
