My favorite place for Thai food in Metro Detroit. I don't even look at the menu and order the Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai every time. The service here is always very friendly, the food is cheaper than average and the amount of food is greater than any other place. Funny how a entree like Pad Thai can seem like such a uniform dish (like Chinese Chicken Friend Rice), but there is such a difference between this place and every other Thai place in town. There's just something addictive.

Going down hill... Last three times my meal was ready in 30 seconds. Hardly hit the wok. My pad thai noodles were mush this most recent visit. Spring roll was soaked in oil. Chicken was dry and sparse. So bummed. I've been going here since it opened around 1989. Same owner, hope he picks it up.

I will preface this by saying I am a vegetarian and I am reviewing this place as a vegetarian. I have many meat-eating friends who love this place, but I do not. I've only been meat free for a year, but this was by far my worst vegetarian experience at a restaurant ever. The entire menu has 3 vegetarian options, but they are not the "vegetable" entrees on the menu (like the vegetable curry) - these all have fish sauce or meat sauce. The only main dish that can be made vegetarian is the sweet and sour sauce (not my favorite), however, it's only listed on the menu with meat options and it wasn't until I asked that I found out it could be ordered with tofu, thereby making it the one and only vegetarian entrée the restaurant has available. There were also 2 vegetarian appetizer options. Every starter I ordered and my meat-eating friend ordered seemed to come with the same dipping sauce which was pretty vinegar heavy. If you're vegetarian, this is not the place for you so save your time and money. Side note: It gets 2 stars because my meat eating friends do seem to enjoy their food.

The food is good and the service friendly. They could have cleaner bathrooms but i didn't expect much coming in here.. The wood booths are pretty cool!

This was excellent Thai food! I went a couple days ago for the first time and am thinking about going again this week. It was excellent. I had the chicken/beef ginger chicken (can't remember the exact name). It was delicious! I ate in, but they seem to do a really good carry out business-they were pretty busy both in the restaurant for eat in and carry out. I will return to eat here or carry out again.

While you are reading this, you could be at Bangkok having excellent Thai food. Why are you still reading? Go. I'm serious, stop reading and go get Thai food. We can talk about it later.

I could seriously eat Thai food every other day, alternating with fresh sushi and handmade pasta. My life might be complete. Bangkok Cafe, along with Amarin, is wholly responsible for my culinary obsession. I can strike out within walking distance and find myself snug in a little, lovingly worn booth with a plate of peanut-dressed pad thai or glorious basil rice. The hosts always greet you with a smile as they bustle from table to table. Laminated menus sing with the praises of exotic Thailand, a country I long to visit. Cultural touches here are not pale rehashes of Americanized cuisine; you're getting the real thing. The menu is friendly to unfamiliar palates, but spice and seasoning can appeal to newbies to Thai all the way to experienced foodies. Siam Spicy offers face-melting peppers and sinus-clearing spice-bombs, but Bangkok gives reliable, expertly seasoned meals without detonating an explosive on your palate. They aren't a let down and balance nicely between spicy and flavourful. The soups are warming on a cold day, almost lush on the palate. I usually start with one of the options, alternating to suit my tastes and hunger. They don't stand out as mind blowing, but solidly delicious. Tom yum is my favourite, a belly-warmer that awakens the appetite like a gentle lover. I confess I cannot remember the names of the soup options at the time of review, but the veggies are always snappy and crisp rather than burnt. The pad thai makes me sing. Fluffy noodles, thin rather than melted together, speak to the expertise of the cooks. I want a peanut sauce that floats around the food rather than smothering it in a dollop that barely mixes. It should mingle like a good party, a charismatic guest of honour who touches everything in a light but distinct way. Flavours pop on the tongue, and the tofu is always ready to dredge up the flavours. Cilantro and lime are used unsparingly. Damn tasty stuff when swirled around, reminding me winter doesn't last for ever. I have tried a fair amount on the menu, but I always come back to the noodle dishes. Beware, portions are huge. I immediately give up at least half for future lunch and dinners. Come hungry but realize you shouldn't clear off your plate. One plate is more than enough for two hungry adults and a kid. Prices aren't too high and for the quantity of food given, they are even better. Bangkok Cafe is unpretentious, friendly, and authentic. I don't think you can get better than that. Parking is paid only in downtown Ferndale. Park a few blocks off the strip to avoid, or use the Parkmobile.com app for smart phones to avoid running out with a handful of nickels.

The best Thai in the area!!! I would highly recommend the curry (#3), shrimp fried rice, and pad thai. All are fantastic. Also, a great place to carry out... It is always ten minutes. Prices are also affordable and the food is consistent.

Ohhhhh man, I wish that Bangkok Cafe was closer to my apartment. There are some quality thai food restaurants in Royal Oak, but I think that Bangkok Cafe takes the belt overall. The quality of the food is out of this world. I love extra spicy food, and they always deliver some epic flavors. I have never had anything but a wonderful experience here (both with dine-in and take out!)

Another accidental find. We arrived there around 7:15 and and there were only a couple tables available. The placed stayed busy. There was a constant flow of people in and out for take-out too. The staff is very quick and friendly. The waitress had plenty of great recommendations. It's not a fancy place by any means and isn't sparkling clean, but the ambiance is what gives it a little bit of unique specialness. Our food arrived very quickly. We started off with appetizers and soup. We ordered a springroll (fried). It was ok. No unique, tantalizing flavors. The sauce was actually the best part of the roll. We then shared an order of the Siam Wings. They were delish! I don't know how they were able to get the wings in that shape (not bar wings)...again the sauce gave this appetizer it's yum flavor. (3 wings for $3) We then had the Tom Kha Gam (coconut chicken soup). This wasn't great. There was lots of chicken but it was seriously lacking in flavor. Yes, you can taste the lemon, but that's about all...it was missing the button mushrooms, cilantro and a bit more flavorful broth. It was also cool in temperature. ($1.50 for a big bowl) My husband had the Pad Thai and he thought it was the best that he's had (even beat out Penn Thai and Basil Thai). I'm still on the fence about that. It had the right amount of heat, slivers of thin cut chicken breast and a few pieces of shrimp. The sauce doesn't overwhelm the dish. Some places put too much or not enough sauce. It had just the right amount of flavor. I had a unique dish called Bah Mee Moo Dang (with the roasted pork) DELISH!!! I have never had this before. I don't think I've ever seen it on another Thai menu. It has unique flavors. It's served in a large soup bowl. At the bottom of the bowl there is a brown delicious sauce, then you have ramen type noodles, then thin pieces of roasted pork (YUM, not fatty, very tender and delish), then there is a layer of bean sprouts, crushed peanuts and thin slices of green onion. There is also a wedge of lemon. The combination of all the flavors really gives this dish a unique flavor; spicy, sweet, crunchy, peppery... I don't think I would get it with green onions next time. They created a peppery flavor that I'm not a fan of. I added a small bit of the Siam Wing sauce to the dish (as suggested by another yelper) and it gave it a nice lil' sweet kick, but not too sweet. Portions are HUGE, so you have plenty to take home for another meal the next day. For all of the above, out bill came to $25. The venting is better than Penn Thai : ) Happy Eating

Not bad for thai food. A tad overrted. Broccoli was tough and chicken dry. Sauce for pad prik was good. What else ya got?

This could be a stage set for a Veggietale horror cartoon, The beloved cartoon characters walk in straight from the farm, are spotted by the chef, and after a hunt and chase most find themselves chopped up to be delicious fresh ingredients in my curry. Err, maybe that is a little morbid but the vegetables here are awesome! Firm, fresh, and tasty. Mix that with the rapid fast service, and the staffs friendly faces and you have a winner. It doesn't seem to be a secret that many of the dishes share the same sauce and the vegetable content adjusts, but if your sauces are mouth watering then who cares? My only qualm is that going for mild, medium, or hot seems to mean you chose how many red chili pepper flakes are dumped into your portion of said sauce. I'm a hot gal and I prefer a spicy meal but when I ordered such I found myself chewing on chili flakes and getting them stuck ALL up in my teeth. So, now I stick with medium. Not super vegetarian friendly but there are a few options. One option, Tao Hoo Tod (Fried Tofu with special sauce), is an appetizer and it isn't my cup of tea- lacks flavor. It basically tasted like fried tofu sitting in rice vinegar to me. The vegetable curry is tasty alternative to meat. Winners for the non veggie-head? Pad Cashew, Princess Stir Fry (w/shrimp), and Lard Na. Keep in mind this isn't an upscale Thai spot and borderlines fast-food. Many people order take-out here. I can vouch for their take-out as well. I've always gotten the right meal cooked the way I asked and ready on time. Truly, Bangkok Cafe is a wonderful spot for a quick, fresh meal that won't disappoint the taste-buds.

By far the best Thai I've found in the area. Unfortunately the immediate Ferndale area also seems devoid of decent chinese, so Thai it is, when I feel like Asian take-out. Their Pad Thai always hits the spot, and their satay has plenty of delicious peanut sauce and it's well-barbecued. No, it's not going to feel like you're in Siam or anything, but the food is delicious. Bonus points for having the food ready in less than 5 minutes at seemingly any time of the day.

  • Nina M.

Still the best Tom Yam Gai soup I have had and at $1.50 for a bowl (or to go cup) it is definitely worth it. Still not a fan of the actual thai dinners, but for a cup of soup this is my spot. Service is really fast also.

Fantastic place to get your craving of Chk Pad Thai satisfied. I can only testify to their carry-out service as I have done this so many times the past year that they know exactly what I want every time I walk through the doors. They are so FAST in whipping up my favorite Pad Thai dish. LITERALLY. I walk in and walk up to the counter on a BUSY sat evening. I order my Pad Thai and I pay out. I'm about to sit down in the chair behind me when I hear, "PAD THAI READY".....whaaaaaa, awesome. They always put plenty of beansprouts and peanut crumbles which I love. They use lemons as well, which I like instead of the usual lime. Always seems packed with diners and I can tell from the reviews on here that I have made the right choice!

Doesn't have everything I like to order (namely Massaman Curry, unless I couldn't decipher which item it is on the menu). The Pad Thai is incredible, the curry too. Can't beat the peanut sauce. I remember coming here over ten years ago, and it still holds up. Busy atmosphere, we brought our one year old and had no issues. Bonus was the bill, totally affordable. Hands down a great restaurant.

The Bangkok Cafe in Ferndale is a dangerous place...dangerous because it's so close, it has ample parking in the middle of downtown Ferndale, and it's damn good. I've done carry-out via the BC on a couple of occasions and it's fantastic. Always timely (10 minutes) and always tasty. The standards like Pad Thai and Gang Gai are done well. in the end, the restaurant itself is Ferndale sized, which means it's perfect for a small group and good meal, but it's not going to lend itself to a larger group. However, do go...it's pleasant enough, and the staff always makes you feel at home. For me...this is a grab and go, and every bite is well enjoyed. The spring rolls are some of my favorite. I always buy a few hoping to have left-overs...it never happens! The spice is pretty on-par and what you'd expect. i wasn't surprised by my medium-plus, and wasn't let down by the hot. And, all the prices are very reasonable, as would be expected. This is well worth the stop.

When you have a bad head cold, sometimes you really just need a bowl of spicy thai curry. My unfortunate cold had one upside- it was what led me to Bangkok Cafe. I ordered takeout and was told my order would be ready in 10 minutes- (it was). The vegetable curry was outstanding with crunchy fresh veggies and delicious fried tofu (you can sub tofu for the other proteins). The amount of food will easily last for 3 meals. Medium spice level was enough to clear my sinuses thoroughly. The only downside of the meal? The sizzling rice soup was just "okay". The veggie curry more than made up for the soup and is the perfect cure when you're under the weather.

I have a dear friend that I have traveled with many times. Our second trip to the Far East was to Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Bangkok. We were immediately taken with the spirit and cuisine of Thailand. I still am. Given any chance I would be on a plane and sleeping at the Royal River Hotel tonight. While old timers still call this place Sammy's, it is really named Bangkok Cafe. My number one, hands down favorite. For my Grand Rapids Friends, it is quite a schlep to Ferndale, but if you are ever in the neighborhood... you gotta go. There are some "must" have dishes here. One is the Tom Yum Gai Soup...perfect just like Thailand. Kind of a lemon grass adventure with chicken. Also the Chicken Wings Appetizer in sweet sauce...amazing! And the Bah Mee Moo Dang...the best dish on the menu. (Here is a tip...ask for some sweet sauce (from the wings) and pour some in the BMMD Dish....fab!! Kind of a sweet and hot noodle dish, but that doesn't begin to say it. I have been a customer for 20 years and I have never found better. Believe me...I have looked!!

One of the survey questions below asks Good For (as in lunch, etc) and my response: NOTHING. The food is below par! I ordered the Prince Stir Fry with chicken and I'm still trying to figure what Prince would eat this slop. The chicken was like rubber and had NO flavor. The sauce tasted as if an entire basil plant was ground up and dumped in.... Even though this joint is local to Ferndale, I will not be back!

This is by far the best Thai food restaurant in the metro Detroit area. I feel sorry for all the other restaurants in the Ferndale area because whenever I am nearby at lunch or dinner time I find it impossible to eat anywhere else. It's not a fancy place, but the tasty food more than makes up for that. My favorite dishes are (of course) the Pad Thai with shrimp and the chicken satay. I always ask the waitress how the cooks are doing that day before I choose my spicy level; if the cook is heavy handed then I order mild-plus or if he's going lightly that day then I order medium. I do enjoy spicy food, but the taste is so good at the Bangkok Cafe that I don't want to overwhelm the flavors with spice. The Tom Yom Gai soup, the tao hoo tod (fried tofu), siam wings and spring rolls are all so good that it's hard to decide which appetizer to order. The peanut sauce is the best ever! Go there expecting to get a lot of really good food for a very reasonable price and plan to bring some leftovers home since the portions are very generous.

We love this place. The Tom Kha Gai is outstanding as well as the spring rolls. The Pas Ped is awesome and Levi is a sweetheart. I noticed that every dish coming out of the kitchen looks great. The only warning is that they do not mess around with the spiciness... if you are a weakling stick to mild.

We ordered pad Thai carry out and came home to the horror that all our orders were covered in shrimp. I called to complain and they said I should have checked the menu and basically they didn't care. I didn't have a menu and I guess it's our fault for assuming but would have been nice if they would let customers know when placing orders. That aside the pad Thai and fresh rolls were not so good. All of us agreed it was probably some of the worst we have had. I couldn't even eat the chicken...had a weird taste and the fresh rolls were like biting into a foot. I'm not really sure what that's like but I imagine it to be very similar.

OK... when did Thai places start adding lemon wedges? Pad see ewe - No Chinese broccoli, no thick rice noodles, no flavor, super tough dry flavorless beef. Pad Thai - flavorless, totally bland. Veggie Curry - watery, had no depth to the flavor, cheap ass gross vegetables. I know by now that in Detroit, when I order "medium spicy" at a Thai restaurant, they will gleefully burn off my taste buds. Luckily, I've earned some Thai tolerance. But I asked for medium spicy on all of the dishes, and the only one they gave me the right amount of spicy was the pad see ewe. It's super cheap. 3 dishes for $23. And they were super fast. But that's just it. This place ... is a fast food Thai restaurant that's very white people friendly.

This is the second place I ever had Thai food and it was so hot that my brother and I still laugh at the fact we couldn't believe we were such cry babies. After all how hot can extra hot be? What a great place for Thai food I wish I lived closer. Or I wish they would move to Royal Oak so I can at least go there for lunch. The price is right the place is too small but the food is out of this world. Can you say Pad prixing but not extra hot.

My girlfriend was born on Thailand, raised in L.A. and has been hopelessly trying to find good, authentic Thai food in the Detroit area. So far Bangkok Cafe is the best we've found. The dishes are prepared the right way, the flavors are what they should be. The only thing missing is her favorite veggie which doesn't seem to be available outside L.A. As I've come to learn there is a big difference between authentic Thai food and the Thai food Americans want to eat. This place does a great job of balancing the two.

Excellent Pad Thai and fresh rolls. Kiss Me Beef is good too. Big portions. My family's favorite Thai place, known to us as "Sammy's". If you're ordering carry-out, wait until you get to the restaurant, they make it so quick it will be cooling off when you arrive if you don't!

  • Sarah W.

Okay so to be fair the only thing I ever get from Bangkok Cafe is their Pad Thai, but that is because it is so good. The perfect amount of spicy and the servings area always big enough to either share or to provide leftovers for the lunch the following day. My favorite is the tofu Pad Thai, medium spicy.

I can't believe it's taken me over a week to write this review. I stopped in for a bite the day after Tiger's opening day. Bangkok Cafe's Veggie Curry (w/ scallops) was very good. The spice levels were perfect & veggies were cooked but still had that 'snap'. The tofu plus the coconut curry paired really well and seemed to soak up a good portion of the sauce. Portion wise they are over the top, I had more than enough left over for a full mean the next day. Most of the dishes won the menu were not traditional but my dining partner's order was very well executed. They set the standard for me in Michigan...

It's been a long time since I've been here, but it has good cheap thai food. This restaurant has been around for a long time with the same owners; that's normally a good sign. Anyways, it's never a bad choice to try this place out; they have a big portion and it's cheaper then other thai restaurants.

Something has changed at Bangkok Cafe over the years. I could have sworn it used to be amazing. 10 or more years ago now, it was the first place I discovered coconut curry and I ate it every day for two weeks, and gained about 5 lbs. Back then their tofu was spongey and full of sauce, the veggies were fresh and cooked perfectly and, well, it was just better in every regard. I've had it only a handful of times in the last year, after finding far superior places to get my Thai fix, and it just seems to be getting worse. Today was no exception. I got the #7 (vegetable curry) medium and in addition to it being excessively salty, yet somehow still lacking in flavor, their were only 4 pieces of tofu, an excessive amount of carrots and a thick, long, black hair. Mmm.... On top of that, the spice level was nowhere near a medium by anyone's standards. I will probably still go here for my fresh roll and tom yum needs, although even those weren't quite as good the last time I got them, so who knows. Sadly, that leaves no viable Thai options in Ferndale, in my opinion. I say make the trek to Hazel Park and get your face burned off at Pi's Thai instead.

Happy. Thats what this place makes me think of. The food is fast and yummy with portions that are very generous and prices that well... make me happy. I like a thai place that gives me a big plate of noodles for a nice low price. Their Pad Thai is delicious and the drunken noodles are also great. I also would like to commend them on their tofu preparation. Any place that serves proper tofu in dishes such as these gets my vote! Its not a funky and tasteless lump of bead curd. Did I mention the pricing... cheap. Cheap and tasty... I will totally be back.

I give Bangkok Cafe 4 stars because I just know in my heart of hearts that somewhere (Thailand, maybe?) there is better Thai food.... That said: Bangkok is fast. You don't even have to call in your order. Whatever you order its done in a flash. The food is fresh! They understand the art of the spice scale. The Drunken Noodle dish is amazing and they make the best Pad Thai I have ever had. It's cheap too! I almost always order the same thing: Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, Fresh Rolls and Tom Yam Guy soup.... all for about $24! Can't beat that! Especially because it really is great and authentic tasting Thai! GO NOW!

Bangkok Cafe is not the fanciest place in the world. It's tiny and hot, but it's the best Thai food I've had. I almost always get carryout which is ready incredibly fast. It's reasonably priced, large portions, so there's almost always leftovers, which are just as good tomorrow. If you're looking for presentation, this is not the place for you, but if you're looking for damn good food, I highly recommend it. (Especially the Siam Wings, which are basically chicken drumsticks, designed by Dr. Seuss.)

I was on a search for panang chicken curry and the other Thai place someone suggested did not serve it. So I got carry out from here last night. The inside is not too small but not huge, kind of relaxed but nice looking. I ordered the panang along with two spring rolls. I got home and dug in. The panang wasn't as creamy as I'd like it to be, and the chicken was really tough and cut into messy almost strips. The spring rolls were decent and I like the sweet sour and spicy sauce that comes with them. For now I give maybe three and a half stars but I'd like to dine in and see if that changes.

Stopped in for some carry-out this afternoon-- it was slammed! Got my order in under 5 mins (wow, they are QUICK!) but there were some downfalls to my visit: *Once again, the spice level didn't seem right. I always ask for medium and yet somehow it still comes out with hardly ANY spice, and it was bland even... no flavor, no taste. *While I was waiting I had a chance to survey the kitchen area, and I left feeling a bit uneasy. Nothing in particular grossed me out, just things in general. Have to admit though, $7 for a STUFFED carry-out container isn't bad, but it just wasn't great today.

This is my favorite Thai place. I have two dishes that are particular faves -- wait, make that three -- gang gai, gang kew warn, and pad se'ew. I love the flavor they have achieved in their curry dishes, which I think might come from a combination of the fish sauce, kaffir lime, and the other rhizome (not ginger) that is mixed into the curry mixture that rests near the cooks' station. My favorite thing about ordering carryout here is watching them prepare the dish while I wait, just across from where you order it. I also appreciate that they include a wedge of lemon or lime with the noodle dishes. Lime goes very well squeezed over a warm order of pad se'ew. Totally addictive food!

  • Madelyn A.

I love Thai food, and a date brought me here promising it was amazing. Service was decent and prices were super cheap. The chicken in my gang keo warn was full of gristle and the serving size was pretty small, which I didn't mind much... until I spent the night in the bathroom. Maybe I was there on an off night, but I am never returning, and I'm not sure when I can eat chicken again.

If there is one thing I miss about living in Ferndale, it's Bangkok. I have tried 4 different thai places since moving to Clawson, looking for pad thai that is as good as Bangkok Cafe, and I've stopped trying. You can't beat the price, an order lasts me two meals, I love their Tom Yum soup and spring rolls!

Let me preface my review by saying that the other reviews here are useful. I realize that this may not be the best or the most authentic Thai food around - I only have a moderate experience to base my analysis on. But I give this the 5-star "woohoo!" because for me, this restaurant is a winner based on: --Delicious food - I usually get the Pad-Seeyu, and their soups are all great. --Large portions; affordable price --Always-friendly staff --Consistently quick service, whether sit-down or carry-out (This is particularly appreciated considering the lack of free parking in downtown Ferndale. --Another added star for how consistently I've been pleased by this place - I have dragged pretty much every out-of-town visitor to this restaurant, and go there frequently on my own, especially since it's a few blocks away from where I teach. Bangkok Cafe, I'll miss living just up the road from you...

Can there be too many cashews in a Pad Cashew dish? Not in my book! Not only are you stunned by the sheer volume, but the size and quality of the cashews is fantastic. I return again and again because they know how to keep me coming back. I ask for no onion and mild and that's what I get. (I suspect that they actually get to know their regulars and tweak the order to suit that customers tastes.) The chicken for the dish is of good quality, fresh and plentiful. The brown sauce, thankfully, is not thickened with a starch powder and is seasoned right. The portions are plentiful and typically eaten in stages. The help is friendly, fast and efficient. I didn't give them 5 stars due to the one time I had carryout with a bonus of plastic wrapper in my meal. This was the only instance of a negative experience in many, many carryout orders.

So my Man and I went into Bangkok Cafe today to grab a nibble. I ordered the Pad Prik Khing and he ordered the Prince Stir Fried. Both were delicious!...As usual! We had our choice to sit anywhere, so my man decided to take a table located next to another that had a newspaper on it. When our order had been taken both waitresses had come back to the table next to ours and preceded to eat thier own lunches. Of coarse we had to talk to eachother and did so. We talked about travel, relationships and god only knows what else, We all laughed and had a great time. We even had to taste a homemade desert that one of the women had brought from home for lunch. It was delicious, and she wrapped some of it up for us to take home. I'm eating it right now actually...Anyway, it was less like eating out and more like eating with family. I love this place and will always come back!

This is good, fast, cheap Thai food. The dishes aren't exactly "challenging", but they're satisfying and consistent. I work a couple miles from here, and we order lunch here about once a week. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the fact that not everything has fish sauce all over it (I can't say the same for the Thai place down the street), and that most meals can be converted into vegetarian dishes. Recommended: vegetable curry, drunken noodle, gang keo warn Don't be a wimp, order it "hot!"

When I was working in Ferndale, Bangkok Cafe was my no fail, always satisfying, quick service, lunch option. Located on 9 mile in the Ferndale shopping district, this Thai restaurant has everything for a great dining experience. Consistently good, check, attentive, quick service, check, great portions at great prices, check. I've probably eaten at Bangkok Cafe more than 50 times in the last few years and I've never been disappointed. The Pad Thai is always flavorful, zesty. Oh and the spring rolls. Crunchy veggie roll up wonders you are! The menu offers a ton of authentic Thai dishes in which you can modify and add tofu, beef, chicken or seafood. So, there's a little bit for everyone. If you're looking for healthy, flavorful food Bangkok is the place for you. I guarantee you'll get more bang for the buck.(HA HA HA).

The Gold Standard for Pad Thai This was the first place that I had Pad Thai which I thought was just awesome many years ago. The owners at the time were not charging sales tax. Opps. They did eventually correct that oversight. Now the cafe itself is nothing special and could be updated by one of those improvement shows. But this isn't about the decor it is about the food. Everyone I have ever dragged here has become a fan. My favorite is the Spicy/Hot Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp minus the green onions. My eyes break out in a sweat thinking about it. Everytime I try Pad Thai elsewhere it is a pale comparison. The place is packed at lunch but moves fast since the food is cooked super quick. If you are ever in fashionable Ferndale give the BC a try! Your belly will be very happy you did.

Omg!!!! I have history with this place. Been eating here since I was 19 yrs old. The best Thai food that I know of....the food is fresh...prompt service..good portions. The food is worth the price. I usually get the Pad See Ew (chicken) with rice noodles (extra hot) and SIAM WINGS!!! Sooo good!!!

Ok, who has tastebuds here??? If you have no taste buds or tongue, then just eat here. Can you say "cardboard with oil and vitamins"? I'm just flummoxed at how people truly like this place. To me, it's like the McDonald's of Thai Food, (no offense to Mickey D's). I just think there are wayyyyyy better Thai restaurants with fresher, healthier, more home-made, authentic ingredients, and better quality of service than this joint. But what the hey, it's just my personal observation. I see that they won awards, but really people, do you try new things in life and experience what other Metro Detroit restaurants has to offer? Come on people... give peace a chance! :o)

Best pad Thai in Michigan! this is a place I do not mind driving out of the way for. Have yet to find a Thai place with this quality in the tricounty area. Last time I was there with a customer, John Sally former piston was dining in. Try pad Thai with chicken.

i eat a lot of thai food, but alas i have only eaten thai in detroit. i can only compare what i've eaten. i can say this about bangkok cafe. i love it. my friend todd brought me here from waterford when we were 16. it was really quite exotic to me in 94 and being from waterford. i have since eaten all over detroit. siam spicy, spice of thai, sala thai and many more. this has always been my favorite. the food is always hot and fast. the vegetables are always fresh. the waitresses smile. the tom yum has a really good broth (i love broth). i usually eat a different dish everytime i go anywhere and i've probably eaten everything on the menu. i tend to go back to a dish called "kiss me" which has this delicious fried garlic on top. kinda burnt, kinda spicy and oh so good. i really enjoy their fried tofu also. i like the seating and ambiance of bangkok thai too. its just cute in there. love, juston

Good value for your money, usually pretty crowded, and quick enough service.. take-out a better option than dining in usually.

There is a reason they are on my favorites list on my phone. Food is always great and super affordable. I was super stoked when they added Panang to the menu. You cant go wrong in here. Carry out is super fast too.

This is one of my favorite thai places, and the only place I know of to get the yummy sizzling rice soup. Tip: the medium spicy isn't very spicy at all. If you want some spice, go higher.

This place is a five star place. The best Thai I've eaten in Michigan, cheap, fast everything is good. They'll make it with no oil which I prefer. You have no stomach issues that way.I reccomend the 14. Basil eggplant green curry dish. Every person I make try it loves it.

My favorite Thai restaurant in the Mid-West! Kiss Me chicken medium spicy with a spring roll. Love it! I've been going there since I was a kid. Can't go wrong with the friendly staff and amazing food...

I've been meaning to write a review of this place, and after tonight's delicious dishes, it was absolutely time!! The service is great, whether carryout or dine-in..and let me say this....my amazing fiance and I have gone to about 7 different Thai restaurants, and this one is pure flavor country! The Pad Thai is AMAZING!!! Most places have sauce that is a bit too sweet for me, but this is perfect!! My honey usually gets the Three's Company, and I am telling you right now, that sauce is TO. DIE. FOR. We go there pretty frequently, as we own a tattoo shop, so of course, there's lots of Thai Food involved...it's like a prerequisite or something for tattoo artists. The Eggplant Curry is also Amazing!! Their Tom Yam Soup is so packed full of fresh veggies and flavor, YUM! The one place everyone seems to rave about (which shall remain nameless for now, I didn't care much for at all, and I'll gladly make the drive to Ferndale to get the flavor and service I'm looking for!

This is the best Thai food ever. The sauce, the amount of food the taste. Cooked to perfection. I have gone to different Thai restaurants. This place has the very best Pad Thai. I love the Tofu Pad Thai my girlfriend eats the Chicken Pad Thai. It rocks! I've eaten at at least 3 other Thai restaurants in metro detroit. This is the best!!!

Most of my Thai experience comes from California, so I don't know if the chefs here come from a different region than where the chefs in California come from, but everything was a little different. The pad see-ew used thin rice noodles, similar to fettucine, where in CA we get big fat wide rice noodles. The panang (which is a curry, I'm not sure what Pookie's on about), had a slightly different taste than I'm used to. I can't call it bad because bad panang is flavorless and watery. This had plenty of flavor, but there an underlying difference that I couldn't place, and unfortunately it was a little on the watery side. The tom yum gai was good, decent spice, fresh veggies, but it wasn't the best ever. Overall I'd give it a 3.5, and since the servers are so nice, the food comes out fast, and the price is nice, I'll round to 4.

To me this is by far the best Thai place that I have been too. I have tried many things and have liked everything. Everything is very flavorful, they give big portions and the service is super fast. You don't even need to call ahead really. If you want carry-out (you can eat there too) just walk to the back of the restaurant and order at the register and the food will be ready in under 10 minutes.

This is the BEST Thai food ever! My only complaint is that they aren't open on Sundays and that is when I crave it the most. I'm pretty boring and order the same things over and over again. You can't go wrong with the chicken cashew or the pad thai :)

I've been eating here for over 25 years. This used to be the standard by which I measured all other Thai restaurants. In the early 90's I ate here twice a week sometimes, and I still either dine in or get carry out once a month, but have had some bad meals lately, specifically chicken that tastes pre-cooked and old (they never used to pre-steam the meat to save time like almost ALL Thai places do now), and my last carry out looked like they made 6 orders at once, and I got the slop at the bottom, with no whole pieces of anything, and noodles that were in tiny bits. Years back I used to watch the cook make each order fresh, juggling the ingredients in the molten heat of the wok, but now there are many short cuts taken. The unique taste of wok cooked meat can't be duplicated with pre steamed, dried out, stale meat seared in a wok. The place is usually packed, with carry out orders stacked on top of each other. They do have some of the best tasting Thai food in metro-Detroit, which will bring me back, but they really have to amp up their consistency. Lately I've had better luck dining in than getting carry out, but this used to be the ultimate carry out for local residents.

I'm a huge Thai food fan and the Bangkok Cafe may be my favorite Thai food place. Quick service with very reasonable prices. The dishes are plentiful and flavorful. Green and yellow curry sauces are great. They serve a meal with vegetables including eggplant, green curry and your choice of chicken, beef or pork. It's my favorite Thai meal (#14 I think). Staff is pleasant and efficient. Seating can be tight during the lunch rush but the wait, if any, is rarely long. Decor is acceptable.

I love thai food. I'm originally from Chicago, which is somewhat of a thai food mecca. there's thai food all over the city and it is generally really good. thus, i had high hopes for bangkok thai, thinking it would be my neighborhood thai place here in ferndale. i was disappointed. the food was pretty good. i had the fried rice, which i know does not make me seem like a thai food lover. but i've given up the curries and the noodle dishes at the moment and made it my new obsession. thai fried rice tends to be spicier than chinese fried rice with a nice flavor. this thai fried rice had a nice spice but was a little too greasy. my partner had the equivalent of a basil chicken which was a bit too gelatinous. the portions were ridiculously enormous. there was way too much food. and i hate that styrofoam seems to be an obsession of ferndale eateries. give me less food in more eco friendly containers please. i will think twice before going back.

Although this is not exactly a 4-star establishment, I am giving Bangkok Cafe 4 stars based on value and the fact that I had a mild addiction to their curry. This place is nothing fancy, and neither is the food, but it is dependably good. The decor is nothing to write home about, although the gigantic wooden booths are good for larger groups. The service is fast, and the ingredients are fresh. There are quite a lot of selections on the menu of appetizers, curries, noodle dishes, etc...and are all VERY reasonably priced around $6-8 an entree. I know the last peson said they didn't have curry varieties, but that isn't true...they have green, masaman, red, etc. My boyfriend and I go here often, order a ton of food, and spend only around $25. The only drawback is that they do not have bubble teas, as far as I know. The other thing to be careful about is the spiciness of the dishes. They have two cooks, and they interpret the spice levels very differently. So sometimes I have to order my curry "medium" and other times I get it "spicy", depending on what cook is there. I would ask the waitress if you go there because it really makes a difference. This place is by far my favorite Thai place in the Detroit area. I have tried some of the others and haven't found any that even come close.

I used to go out of my way to eat here, dropping in three times a week or more. Now, I show up once a month or less. The quality of the food has declined. The Pad Thai has lost a lot of flavor, now being overcome by bean sprouts and green onion. The spring rolls don't seem fresh anymore--I swear I've had fresher tasting ones from the freezer aisle at Ferndale Foods. The amount of tofu they give is never enough. Now, I've switched to vegetable curry, but their curry is not as flavorful as it should be. Do yourself a favor and save a few bucks by going up the street to May's Bangkok Express.

Best Thai around period. Love the staff, great owners. Food cannot be beat a must try for anyone who enjoys Thai food. I almost always get their pad old with shrimp and tom yum soup and always have leftovers. Would give it 6 stars if I could

I ended up getting take out here when my Royal Oak favorite Thai place was not open so I ordered Pad See Ew, Red Curry, and Pad Prik King. All of them were equally good although I still like my other Thai place better. The pad see ew was made with the same noodles as they use fro pad thai. I'm used to getting thicker flat noodles for pad see ew. Be aware of the different spice levels you can choose and choose carefully. I usually go medium plus, and my husband can usually handle a level below me. However, it was a little too hot for him. (Maybe he lost his edge on spicy food). My father in law had the red curry in mild and he liked his a lot. I didn't have any of his to try and he is also easily pleased with any food. I'll be going here whenever my other, closer place is closed, but these guys are solid when you need a thai fix.

I came here after reading other good reviews on Yelp and they were all pretty spot on. The food is great and the portions are crazy big! The only thing that would stop me from coming back is the seating. I'm the kind of person that likes my space, and if you're coming here, especially on a weekend, you will not have it. About 75% of the seating here is completely pushed together and cramped. You will more than likely be put elbow to elbow with someone else and that can be a deal breaker for me... If you're coming here for take-out, don't hesitate. If you're coming to dine in, attempt to get a booth. Otherwise, get ready to meet some new people and overhear some other people's conversations! Five stars for the food, and one star for the seating. Overall, three stars for Bangkok!

Best Thai in the state. I hate that i live so far away now. The portions are amazing, the prices are reasonable and its done so fast. If you call while exiting 696 it will be ready by the time you find a park. Im talking 10 minutes someimes.

  • Lee D.

Always SUPER fast and hot food. Spice level doesn't vary too much (meaning I can order it hot and know what to expect usually) Haven't been here and found it empty, which is always a good sign for a restaurant! Service is no nonsense and quick. Portions are huge and can feed me for a good three meals. Highly recommend.

This is down and dirty great Thai food. The restaurant is dumpy. The staff is friendly. The food is cheap and plentiful. There must be a lot of msg in the food....or maybe crack. The crave hits so hard! One star off for no free parking and the gross bathroom (oddly enough the kitchen looks clean).

So the official start to my reviews. I've gotta say this is a gem tucked away in Ferndale. Located right next to Schramm's Mead. It's layout is not your typical Thai place. People have plenty of room to come in and out of what looks like an assembly line of a kitchen. Restroom was serviceable. There is a steady flow of carry out orders but they are still attentive enough to the dine in customers. In regards to the actual food. I had the coconut soup & drunk noodles as my dinner. I honestly can say it's some of the highest quality Thai I have experienced & it was quick as well. This food was fresh, unique & flavorful. I shall come here again.

I stopped coming here years ago, but tried again because I friend chose it. Not sure why the reviews are so high. I ordered some chicken dish and ordered it hot. The heat was nowhere to be found but I can overlook that as I like a lot of heat, more that waiters expect. The dish itself was blah, at best. It was REALLY salty, sweet and kind of slimy. They don't offer brown rice, which is a bummer. The place itself is just a hole in the wall, which would be fine if it were clean. everything felt like it had a sticky film on it-the table, menus, water glasses, everything. There's a lot Thai out there-this place doesn't cut it.

This is my absolute favorite Thai place around. YOU MUST GET THE SPRING ROLL. They are amazing. The service is the best. When you come in multiple times, they get to know you and it's adorable. It is super clean and the waitress make sure things are done correctly. The kitchen made a mistake with my food and the waitress caught it before it even made it to the table. My tip would be to split a meal and then add a spring roll or soup because they are huge and while left overs are good it is better fresh.

  • Dallas M.

I got take out with my friends here and the food was alright, I was hoping for some more flavor though. I got the princess chicken stir fry, my friends got the cashew chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and one got Pad Thai. They were all good dishes, but not amazing. I love Thai food and this was not special in my opinion. It was incredibly fast though and they were efficient when we came to pick up our food. We had to split the bill 4 ways and they were very understanding and nice. Good service. I wish I had just tried something else, it seems to be a pretty well-liked place. The inside was cute too. Parking lot right next to it so that was convenient. My friends said it was the best Thai place around, as they have tried many places.

  • Joe B.

I had trouble finding this place on the Yelp app but it's definitely legit Thai for Ferndale. I've tried a few main dishes, a few appetizers and I've like it all. Service was fantastic, prices are reasonable and the space is clean. Their medium spiciness is a little mild for me but they brought out a bowl of chili paste on my request which I appreciated. I'll be trying them again. Naturally, dining-in was a little better than take-out.

  • Alex C.

Food is good. Chicken items tend to be a bit bland like generic chicken. Last time I ate here I had really bad bubble guts and stomach flue like symptoms. I didn't think it was the food till I ate left overs then it was the same thing for three more days till it all cleared my system.

  • Rachel O.

I give the. Five stars for various reasons. 1. I'm not a picky eater 2. They always, without fail, make my mouth do backflips 3. Portion size is humongous and can easily be split amongst 2 ppl 4. Asian restaurants are known to lack cleanliness and this place is in top shape 5. The servers speak pretty dang good English with next to know, if any, language barrier. Ps the hot chick who does take out orders can be a bit unfriendly. This is my go to Thai restaurant and I love everything I've had from them and suggest for anyone, even the pickiest eaters(you don't know what you're missing)

Water tastes gross and food is disgusting. Really bad Thai food. Go to May's Bangkok and save your money and your stomach. All you can taste is MSG.

  • Mark S.

This has to be the best Thai food in the area. Get the Pad Thai, and eat until you're full. Then, close the box. Then, I dare you to keep it closed. You'll keep going back until you've eaten the entire thing, or until you fall into a food coma. If you're fortunate enough to save some leftovers, you'll probably be craving Thai the next morning. Just give in! There's some egg in there, so it's totally okay for breakfast!

  • Nhan T.

We went there for Saturday lunch. Ordered 2 Siam wings and one pad thai for 2 of us, still have some left over. The chicken wings were deep fried, then soaked in sweet and sour fish sauce. Very tasty. The pad Thai looked wet, but turned out to be good. With drinks and tips, the bill comes to about $20. Not bad. The restaurant was clean. Service was good. The waitress was really nice, and got us everything we asked for: fish sauce, red pepper, extra plate to share, extra peanut, etc. The location was ok. You have to park at the meters. $0.50 for 1 hour. You can use credit card to pay. Make sure to remember your spot number though. While the good was good, we both got a terrible headache after eating there, hence, we know they used lots of MSG in the food. I can tolerate, but my hubby was in pain the rest of the day. We probably won't be back because of it.

  • RJ S.

There is one big reason I come here and it's the Pad Thai! Anytime I am in Michigan I usually do not crave anything Asian b/c past experiences at other restaurants have been a complete fail! However this place has changed my mind. I knew about this place by word only, b/c my cousin always talks about this place whenever he goes back home to Michigan. After who knows how many years I finally get to try this place out. The pad thai is different than anywhere else, most pad thais I've had is very sweet and the filler ingredients feel out of place b/c they don't soak up the flavour of the sauce. Here however It's not sweet at all, it is a perfect blend of flavour and spice. The ingredients from the veggies, egg, chicken and shrimp is infused with the flavour of the sauce and makes every ingredient a match made in perfect harmony. The amount of noodles you get with the pad thai is more than enough for lunch and dinner. I've had other items here but nothing is more memorable then that pad thai. Items to definitely get - pad thai (medium spice)

  • David T.

After reading the other, far more positive reviews, I realize there are two ways I can understand my experience: either my dish was a fluke or everyone is delusional. My pad thai, on a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best, was MAYBE a 3. It was overly oily, lacked sweetness/tang (which is usually supplied by some sort of tamarind-based sauce) and consisted of little else other than noodles (e.g. not much green onion). I opted to pour some of my dining partner's satay peanut sauce over my dish to give it a semblance of flavor, for which I was grateful. It was seriously almost inedible. That said, my "fresh roll" was a pleasant alternative to a salad for raw vegetables, consisting of raw cilantro, cucumber, bean sprout and I believe on or two other items. The dipping sauce was also above par, giving a slight, citrus-based boost to the dish. In sum, I cannot recommend Bangkok Cafe based on its pad thai. In fact, I recommend AGAINST Bangkok Cafe on the basis of its pad thai. :(

This is the best place to go get Thai food. Their fast, and everything I've eaten here has been delicious. And the spring rolls are to die for.

  • Gary R.

Awful. And I didn't even get food here! We tried! But they make no accommodations for special orders - if you can call requesting something (ANYTHING) to be made without fish sauce a special order. Not even rice. Apparently this place is a heat and eat place - all food is pre made and just heated up. So there is no "cooking" done here. That just doesn't resonate with me. With 2 vegetarians in the family we look for places that can provide options for all of us. This place doesn't. So I won't be back.

    (1)
  • Lindsay B.

I have no idea what the food even tastes like, because EVERYTHING on the menu is made with fish sauce. Seriously?!?! When my wife and I (both vegetarians) asked if our dishes could be made vegetarian, we were informed that the rice already contained fish sauce. This leads me to believe they don't even cook things fresh, it's more of a reheat kind of place. Bogus. Even the noodle dishes contained some hint of meat. I've never encountered this at any Thai restaurant. Ever. We walked out. And I'll never be back!

Bangkok Cafe is a nice little spot to have a good lunch. The booths near the door are certainly spacious and cute, but can get a bit cold on a snowy day. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, which are all great to have when seeking a nice lunch. I had the drunken noodle with chicken, my go-to Thai dish, and I was not disappointed. Good noodles, tasty chicken, and a good amount of spice. I will certainly stop in here again when I'm in town.

  • Eowyn K.

I am not sure if it was due to the other positive reviews that raised my expectations, but I was disappointed. The two positives here were the price and how quickly our order was ready. The spring rolls in particular had very little flavor and did not have the light and crispy wrapping that should be expected. The sizzling rice soup was anything but, it very average and the vegetables in the soup did not seem very fresh. The pad see ewe was good, but not the wonderful, flavorful Thai I was expecting. It had broccoli in it, but some of it was a bit over cooked and oddly cut. The interior of the restaurant is odd. One side of the main room has wooden booths, the other side is an inexpensive takeout with formula tables. We ordered take out so I can not rate the service for eating in. Overall, there are better options in the Detroit/metro Detroit area. If you want something fast, cheap and are not overly picky about Thai, then you might be fine with Bangkok Cafe.

Every time I order, it is always just what I ask for. My favorites are the Siam wings with their sweet and sour sauce and pad Thai. This is definitely the best place for Thai carry-out around.

I find Thai restaurants around metro Detroit to be so hit-or-miss. This one unfortunately missed. Wasn't terrible, but definitely was nothing special. The food tasted bland and there was a fly that kept swarming the restaurant. Ewe.

I'm pretty dish-specific about my Thai places. I'll go to one place for this-and-that, but almost nothing else. Another for that-and-this, but almost nothing else. BK has, for my taste and money, the *best* Pad Thai I've had. It's always very good (and sometimes darned near ethereal...it really depends on the noodles and the shrimp, quite frankly), and considering that it comes with both shrimp and chicken, it's a pretty decent value. Took my girlfriend there over the weekend and she loved what she had (including a coconut-milk-based soup, which I thought was pretty good, and she thought was great). If you're going to go, get their Pad Thai. I know, I know...you're thinking to yourself "But that's what *everybody* gets at *every* Thai place!" And you're right...you're right...but in this case? It's the go-to dish. It's honestly the best reason to come here. I've worked my way around the menu a bit, and with regard to their curry dishes, I'm afraid that the word "serviceable" is the right one. I've eaten it before, I'll eat it again...but in no way is it remarkable, nor does it really have any depth of flavor. It's just sort of there, one-note, and it *certainly* doesn't make me unhappy, but it also doesn't make me believe for one single second that it's their strong suit. Many other Thai places do curry dishes far better for the same price range. Since BK is mere blocks from my parents' house, I'll go there for a curry dish due to its convenience when I'm not feeling like driving far. I am, however, willing to drive for their Pad Thai. There are better all-around Thai places in the area, but no one's Pad Thai (that I've had) bests BK's. So go, and enjoy. Don't expect miracles if you stray too far from the Pad Thai, but don't expect it to be poor, either.

I have lived in San Francisco, had Thai all over the country, and... THIS IS THE BEST. I love how saucy, hot and amazing the pad thai is (medium plus), how the noodles have the perfect amount of crushed peanuts on them, and how the servers never fail to flirt with the male clientele. This was my go-to lunch spot when I worked in Southfield. Go, now!

My favorite Thai restaurant! I guess I'm biased, I used to live in the neighborhood and even though I've lived in other places with great Asian food (like San Francisco area) my all time favorite pad Thai is here at Bangkok Cafe. My husband thinks I've romanticized it but I don't agree, I loved it when I lived nearby and now that I live far away (Montana currently) I do miss it! I've eaten in and the wooden booths are weird, get a table instead. I've also gotten take out many times. Love this place, wish it were right around the corner where I live now!

I've had pretty much everything on the menu and its all good. Not the best thai food but decent. GREAT spring rolls. They are VERY fast and everything costs about $8. I have yet to see anyone finish their entire meal. A lot of people think it is the greatest thai food ever, i don't think so but definitely the best in ferndale

I had high expectations for this place's Pad Thai after reading these reviews. However, it turned out to be a flavorless combination of bland noodles, chili powder, a ton of oil and lots of scrambled egg with flavorless tough chicken. The pad thai had very little peanut flavoring and absolutely no tamarind based sauce (essential ingredient for a normal pad thai let alone a great one). There were absolutely no vegetables and the bamboo shoots tasted old. Please stay away from this place if you are looking to have a decent Pad Thai experience.

Our favorite Thai food. We only wish it was closer. However when passing through we stop in and bring it home. Great prices. I wish they would open a location further west. Love love love their food!!!!

I've been coming here since college, so about 10 years now. You will not find better Pad Thai, Veggie curry or spring rolls. You just won't. They also have excellent tofu, not the squishy unpalatable tofu that most places use. I have zero criticisms about Bangkok, other than I wish the place was 3 times the size because it is (obviously) incredibly popular.

I am not big on cultural trappings, but this place is the dream that Detroit can some day be. While Detroit is a black city, most of the places I have reviewed are anything but. Oakland County is generally sheet white, but this gem in Ferndale had a completely mixed crowd. There were black people, Asian, white people, and I may have even seen a penguin in the corner. I cannot say that I have ever seen this kind of a uniform mix of people ever in Detroit all under one roof. I LOVE IT!!! By the way, the service is prompt and the drunken noodles are deelish.

Tasty thai! I had eaten here a long time ago, and do not remember being overly impressed. But this was solid. Spring roll and rice soup were good. We had Pad thai which was above average and Green curry eggplant, which was tasty, but there was not enough sauce... and the eggplant was a schotch under cooked leading to a less than ideal texture. Big portions, good quick service. Over all one of the better thai restaurants in the area. I have several closer to my house... But this one may be worth the trip.

The food is pretty good. I got the pad see ewe (spelling) and sizzling rice soup and it was quick and efficent. I had to pick out celery and carrot from the soup but otherwise the spicy was perfect. Also pretty clean.

This place was good. Ordered the classic Pad Thai.. I will give this place another chance. My dish didn't have much sauce or shrimp (4 small pieces at most). Also, be careful of their online menu because the prices are inaccurate. Overall, this is a solid Thai place

Big portions, awesome food. Been coming here since college at UDM and that almost 14 years later! They still remember me. :)

Best Thai food in Ferndale/Royal Oak area. While dining in is better than most similar places, the take-out is always fast and accurate.

Went home for Thanksgiving and had to visit my old favorite Thai restaurant. This place is just as good as it was 18 years ago. I even saw a familiar face, Anna that works there. YUM!!
