I don't remember the last time I had such a horrible experience. I ordered online an hour ahead of time, but discovered upon arrival that the order had been sitting on a fax machine the whole time. The employees seemed surprised online ordering was even possible. Of the four items ordered, three of them were mostly wrong. The sad, pathetic pucks of tortilla they were passing off as burritos were sectioned off to ensure that you never got a bite of more than one item and rice. So, guacamole and rice. Chicken and rice. Salsa and rice. The rice, by the way, was crunchy with every bite. I'd almost, maybe forgive this if I dropped in at closing time, but at 6:00 on a weeknight? The burritos were basically inedible, and were thrown away, while I explained to my disappointed kid why the beans and cheese we ordered came as a cup of whole beans. The worst Taco Bell experience I've ever had was better than this.

To be fair I was fully expecting this to be like Chipotle, but this was way less standard than I thought it was going to be. I got the bbq brisket burrito bowl. Fresh ingredients yes, but not a lot of flavor. The rice is not very soft and the salsa had no flavor to it. The saving grace was that the guac was free, and the bbq brisket was tasty. It was just an ok meal for me. Save the calories for something else.

I'm sliding up the scale with this place. It is so close to my office, and quite a few of my colleagues enjoy it. The staff seems to be better prepared to handle the work lunch crowd, but they aren't particularly helpful. They seem to expect everyone to understand the options and how ordering works. The food is served in large portions and is reasonably flavored, but it's nothing to write home about. On my most recent trip, I had a fairly bland pulled pork burrito, though I asked for hot sauce and pico de gallo. I am guessing the ingredients are not that high quality or sit around too long to hold good flavor.

It's tough to rate a place that I frequent a 3 star but it really is fair for what you get here. Location really is the main reason we frequent here. I have never had a problem with service, but my wife has. My only complaint is that the ingredients seem like they have been sitting in the containers for a while, or they are almost out. Also the Queso is inconsistent. It is either spot on or it burns your mouth off. Inconsistency in product may have to do with the fact that it never seems to be busy. Could be a cause and effect thing but all told, just average to below average.

Maybe the worst place to grab lunch in the area. They are always disorganized, out of items, and have no idea what is on their complicated menu. There appears to be a complete lack of management, leadership, and experience. Even going mid-afternoon after the rush is a complete fiasco. In 4 recent visits, I have ordered the same thing, received something a little different each time and never paid the same price. When you include their incredible lack of urgency, you have a complete cluster for what should be a straightforward lunch.

Avoid the online ordering. Decided to try it for lunch today because I was in a rush. The person working the register first ignored me in favor of those in the traditional line and then did not know about my order. They rushed around to make it and apologized profusely. Of course this only resulted in mistakes in my order which I didn't realize existed until I was back to work. I usually have a great experience here, so clearly the online ordering system needs work.

ok... I am officially overstuffed from this 5 pound brick I just ate... which I believe was allegedly a Burrito. I received a coupon for my Birthday for a BOGO from Qdoba. As I recall that Qdoba is a bit overpriced I figured would be a good lunch for my wife. She texted me what she wanted and I went in. It was not busy. I looked around at the menu and there were 3 people ahead of me and 5 or 6 workers behind the counter. a couple looked bored as if they were going to fall asleep any minute. I asked the 1st worker if this coupon was exclusive to anything. the Coupon says Buy one Entree get one of equal or lesser value Free. Now when I think of Entree I think of - main item, with some side dish like some rice/beans, maybe chips/salsa. Not the Case at Qdoba this is my 1st bitch. My wife wanted the 3 cheese queso chicken burrito. I wasn't sure what to get. I know my wife doesn't want sour cream but she likes guac so I tell the worker what to put on it. They pile it high with some rice then black beans and some chicken and some queso sauce... it seems more like only enough meat to give it essence or flavor. Oh well whatever. I tell em to put on the corn salsa and the pico and shredded cheese. The guy asks if I want Guac or Sour... I say no to the Sour Cream and yes to the Guacomole... The guy then says to me the guac costs extra. I said uh why? no where on the menu does it says adding guac costs extra... except a side of guac in a cup with chips is extra cost, however it does not specify having guac added to the other mess would cost anything extra. It does not make sense. If you OFFER someone and ASK them if they would like a particular thing THEN you better fricking tell ME up Front... "hey for 50cents more would you like X." But the guy never said that. Ok now for my burrito. I wanted roughly the same thing except the chicken looked dried out so I opted for the Carnitas (shredded Pork in some mystery sauce). I did not want the Queso or shredded cheese. And I chose the Pico and Verde sauce. The flipping burrito's literally are the size of a Brick and weigh at least 3+ pounds. Its flipping insane!. Overall the food is decent. However another bitch I have is I hate being Nickeled and Dimed for all the extras. Its annoying and they can afford to give people more for their money.

Saw and sampled at the VegFest. Just as good as the samples suggested! I had the Queso Burrito (awesome). My wife had the veggie burrito- a little dry but tasty. Help was friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back!

A chain worth raving about! My favorite "fresh" Mexican spot for lunch. Try the Queso chicken burrito - I get mine with the cilantro rice, black beans, chicken, mild salsa, sour cream, and cheese. It's huge! The staff is always super nice to me too.

I have always enjoyed qdoba. Generally the wait is not too long and the food is good. Burritos are very filling and fairly inexpensive.

It's definitely time for me to review this place. I'm not sure how many times I've been here or when exactly I started coming but it's definitely been a year. In the beginning, service was great - orders were prepared well, the employees were friendly and outgoing. Almost like they were actually happy to be there. Unfortunately, all the familiar faces from my earlier visits are no longer there. The employees I see working there now have probably been there the past 3 to 4 months. Generally something unpleasant always happens. It first started to go sour a few months ago. I went to the store to order two burritos for my fiancé and I. I told the girl "carne" when she asked me what type of meat for the burrito and she looked at me confused and then laughed. I immediately got mad because I knew she was laughing at me but I didn't understand why. She definitely picked up on my anger because she felt it necessary to explain herself. And her explanation was even more ignorant than her laughing at me. "Do you speak Spanish?" I told her I know a little and didn't say anymore. Then she said, "I laughed cause you said 'carne' and that just means meat in Spanish." Look chick - yes it means meat but generally it means beef, so either ask me "shredded or steak" or ask me "what kind of meat," but don't freaking laugh at me! I mean seriously, does it get ruder than that??? On another visit (about a month ago), I walk in the place and no one's there. There's no one in line and no one at the counter, but I did see a girl leaning against the back wall doing nothing. I waited a few minutes, then walked to the cash register and could see someone sitting in the back room thru the tinted glass. It was the same chick who laughed at me over "carne." I seen her look at me, but she just sat there! She didn't get up to help me, didn't tell the girl (now standing behind the back wall) that I was out there, nothing! A few more seconds passed and that girl peeked her head around to look out and looked startled when she saw me waiting! She washed her hands and asked me what I wanted. I could tell she was having issues with the tortillas she picked but didn't know what the problem was. She made the entire burrito and when it came time to roll it, she decided to tell me this tortilla is too hard, I'm gonna get a different one." What? Serious??? So I'm expecting her to make a whole new burrito, but she picks up the one she made and dumped it on the new tortilla! Omg...this is real life? Everytime I come here the same 2 girls are working. The "carne" girl is fake friendly (in a condescending way) and the "tortilla" girl is never friendly. She never smiles, never really greets you, and pretty much always looks like she hates her job and hates being there even more. Honestly, I don't know which is worse. There's almost always a line or a wait, and I completely agree with a previous reviewer who said they have a "complete lack of urgency." There's no urgency - not even when they have a long line of customers. This is a bad review, and maybe you question why I still come here (I question myself sometimes) despite that? The reason is a simple one, and the same reason why I go to the slowest Tim Hortons my side of town (12 mile & Farmington) - it's the closest location to my house and I unfortunately enjoy what they serve. Sucks. Despite the horrible customer service I receive, I've only had 1 bad experience with the food - a soggy burrito (pretty bad) due to them not draining the pork enough. Great food. Horrible service. It's my weekly dilemma.

I stopped in for lunch with my dad. Of every Qdoba I have visited, this location was the least pleasant. The staff was slow and didn't seem to have a good knowledge of the menu. They made me repeat order again several times. I ordered a chicken queso burrito and the chicken seemed springy and undercooked. There were also tough ligament parts in several bites of the chicken. My father ordered a craft two with gumbo and a quesadilla. Both the burrito and the gumbo were made to our order but the balance of the ingredients didn't match other similar orders I have had at other locations. Overall the tables seemed to need cleaning.

I recently tried Qdoba's pulled pork quesadilla. I didn't quite know what to expect since I usually stick to their grilled chicken, but I was very impressed. THe employee who made my food was very generous with all the ingredients and made sure they were evenly distributed throughout the tortilla. When I asked her to prepare it "well done" she asked what I mean and I just told her that I wanted all of the cheese melted. She said of course and made sure my food was very well cooked and fully melted. As I took a bite of my meal, I knew I had ordered the right thing. The pulled pork was a little salty, but was perfect with the sweetness of the pico de gallo and guacamole. Everything was piping hot and delicious..albeit insanely unhealthy with all the tasty meat, cheese and sour cream. Qdoba can be hit or miss for me, from one location to another and even one visit to another at the same location, but my most recent visit was a very good one. My only area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the floors and tables. It was well after the lunch rush when I arrived, but everything was still kind of messy.

This was another first for me....I know I know, I'm behind the times if I'm just getting around to trying Qdoba but the good news is that I really liked it. The staff at this location was super friendly and warm to deal with which I also liked. The food was pretty stellar too although after looking over their online nutritional menu it's probably not as healthy as you'd like to think, but regardless it was good eats. I had the hard shell tacos with chicken and the Habanero salsa which had a nice heat to it. Overall the food was solid even down to the fresh lettuce they added on the side so as not to overfill my tacos. On recommendation from Ron I wanted to try the naked burrito but I didn't see it on the menu and I didn't bother to ask but next time that's what I'm ordering...my amigo ordered the naked burrito and it looked wonderful. The store was clean and it ran efficiently and I'll be back for more for sure.

Bbq chicken burrito-high in calories, but oh so delicious. Staff is attentive and will explain the set up if you are a first timer like I was. You are add what you want to your entree in an assembly line fashion. They also have a frequent customer card and you get free chips n' salsa when you register online. After so many purchases you get one free. I like that I can add what I was to my burrito and I usually load it up. If you are counting calories or not a wrap eater, then you can have your meal "naked" meaning without the wrap or shell.

The craft 2 is the perfect proportion for lunch, and the gumbo is delicious

Qdoba is good in general but the manager here is very rude, as the workers are adding the ingredients she watches and tells them to put less. Literally said "AH NOT SO MUCH" as I was getting cheese on my burrito. Very cheap. Avoid this location, there is one two miles up at 14 & Orchard Lake and their customer service is AMAZING and they are generous with portions.

Ordered the chicken quesadilla. They really are skimping on the chicken, not much in it. Quesadilla want very flavorful either.

I'm not at all a fan of the food here, but as a native San Franciscan, I appreciate the deeper meaning of Qdoba. It means the Northern Californian variety of Mexican cuisine is winning. There's something reassuring about knowing that a six pound rock of meat, rice, bean, cheese and salsa is just around the corner no matter what city you're in. Sure, the chicken is usually dry, the salsa has no flavor, and its pretty much up to a combination of sour cream/Cholula to bring anything resembling flavor to the table. But a decade ago, that was a non-existent thing in most corners of the country. So all you you San Francisco ex-pats, raise your Qdoba burrito and toast our victory by loudly complaining how inferior it is to any burrito found in the Mission District. Because in all honesty, you're going to need to fantasize about a better burrito to make it through this one.

The staff here is part of what really makes the dining experience worth having. As I have been getting burritos here more frequently, I have started to branch out as to what topping I would like add. Each time I have asked for an item that would require an up charge, I have been informed before it is added to my burrito and in some rare cases, I have not even been charged. When the staff has made a mistake wrapping, they have simply double wrapped and the second tortilla was quite a good addition to an already stuffed burrito. Although one burrito comes in a just under ten dollars, you certainly get your money's worth in terms of food. This burrito has some size to it! My only complaint is that the spicy salsa is barely spicy, but this is certainly no excuse to no order it as hot as you can!

Two stars is about all I can give this Qdoba. I've been to a couple of decent ones in the past, but this one wasn't all that great - I can say it wasn't all bad, though. The Good: the people working the counter were nice, efficient, and accurate. There was a pretty long line when I came in, and they moved us through very quickly. This was great considering I was on my lunch break and needed to get in and out expeditiously. I can also appreciate the fact that their hot salsa is actually relatively hot! I won't say it left my mouth smoldering, but I could actually detect heat, which is more than I can say for many quick-serve Mexican (type) places. The Bad: the food was a little on the cold side, most notably the rice and steak. I was actually a bit surprised by this considering that they were in the midst of the lunch rush. I would have thought that the food wouldn't have had too much time to sit idle, but I did not get a hot meal. The Ugly: the steak was quite bad. Lots of gristle/connective tissue to get through in order to chew it. This made the meal less than appetizing for me. Verdict: Quick and friendly, but not that tasty. Perhaps the food would be better if they weren't in a rush?

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
