I really like D&M and get their subs quite frequently. They have almost 50 subs to choose from, homemade wheat and white bread, several sauces, etc. With all of that said, this place's reputation is blown way out of proportion. Almost all of the subs are your standard sliced deli meats with lettuce, onion, and pickle on them. They're good, but let's not go crazy here.

***I do not know how to remove my review. My review was for Dinellos who now seems to be in the building where D&M used to be. {see picture of building in photos}** I abhor giving a poor score, and it's honestly not fair since I only ordered one thing off the menu. But it was late, didn't want to eat a big meal, and was hoping for a good hot Italian sub. Perhaps things would have been/tasted different had I eaten it there and not walked the 2 blocks back to the house. They used a panini press, and appears to have pressed the lettuce on the sub instead of adding it after. The tomato was mushy and I dislike mushy tomatoes. No onion, no peppers, no pickles, and way too much mayo. The cappicolla just tasted off and made it to were I was unable to eat the sub. Just didn't seem to be enough meat either. Very disappointing.

ONLY IF YOU LIKE BALONEY!!! You all know that popular chain subshop thatfeatures all turkey based meats well this one is all baloney..I couldn't choke it down felt badly because my son had purchased the sandwhich for me... The bread was air the meats tasted like baloney the topping were old and wilted.. Wish one of the supermarkets would start a sub line with good quality cold cuts.. Like Publix and Winn Dixie do. My advice, go to the chain turkey is always better then baloney. The chain has two locations in this town.

I like their subs.. But lately the ham has had red strips or chunks in it. I ended up getting sick.. Not sure if it was just a one time mix up but they should have noticed the ham.. :( otherwise I strongly recommend the turkey club.

OH....MY......GOD.....These guys make the best subs, ever!! I can not believe no one has "Yelped" about them yet. They are this little, carry-out only, establishment that is hard to find, you'll get lost on your way, and the neighborhood nearby is not the safest feeling, but OMG! Soooooooo good. They have every meat on the planet (ok, not every meat, but they cover the basics) and their bread is fantabulous!!! (yes, that is a word...today) I live in Chicago, but would not hesitate to drive up there for subs on a weekend when we have nothing planned. This place is the best of the best. I could not believe the size of any sandwich we saw. And eating them is more fun than Disney World. I love this place and can't wait to get back to Escanaba.
