Terrible. I ordered the BAT Grilled Cheese and was presented with dry, cold toast that had a hint of boursin cheese smeared across it, some bacon and avocado stuffed inside (I requested no tomato). I actually thought they forgot to put the cheese on. When I finally tracked down a waitress to ask about it (ours being nowhere to be found) I was told that was how it was supposed to be. The manager and wait staff were apologetic (if not attentive) when I said I had thought I was ordering a grilled cheese and would not be interested in eating whatever it was the brought me, but did not apologize for the abysmal food itself. You couldn't pay me to come back here for the food, or the service.

Been here twice now and both times it was DELISH! Love the Margherita pizza! Had it on both visits because it was so good. Also got a side of their shaved Brussel sprouts and kale sauté. Also DELISH! Husband got a club sandwich and frys, both good! Service is friendly and attentive. I wish there was an Aubree's closer to my house :(

I have loved this little pizza place ever since they put a restaurant here in Dexter. I must say I am spoiled. This is not just any pizza place. This restaurant is extraordinary. Their vegetarian pizza is amazing. The flavors are complex and sophisticated. It is not simply a pizza with no meat. It stands alone. I was a huge fan of their artichoke and spinach pizza, as well. They need to bring that back. Tonight, though, I was blown away. I ordered the Smokehouse Macaroni and Cheese. It was profound. Really. My driver was given the wrong address for my house, however, so my order was late. However, when he did arrive, he told me the manager had comped my order, for the mix-up. I was ready to give the driver a tip, but, he very sweetly refused, and told me that he "would be taken care of". I highly recommend this restaurant!

You want to sit me in the bar with my 7 & 8 year old I am perfectly fine with that. What I am not fine with is the bartender who stood 5 feet away from us talking to a customer and using profanity. I am not one of those moms who doesn't swear in front of her kids....but there are words I am not okay with them hearing especially from an employee of an establishment I am paying to eat at. After I asked him to watch it he continued to use mildly offensive words...damn, hell...etc. But hey, he cut the Highly offensive ones out. This is Dexter....and it's a family restaurant. I say too bad Aubree's your food is good. But this is inexcusable.

Uggg.... I ordered the B.A.T. Sandwich tonight (bacon, avocado, and tomato) and it it was a definite foul ball! The bacon was undercooked, the tomato was sickly underripe, and the avocado was a joke since there were only a few tiny slivers on the entire sandwich! I'm also sorry to report that when I brought this to the attention of the manager she gave me just a two dollar credit towards the sandwich which was which was over $9! Try again Aubree's because this was a three strike night.

The food was pretty unremarkable. We ordered the new potato skins with spinach & artichoke dip on them. Potato was dried out but came with a good size side of sour cream. I order the new steak salad and I would get it again. My hubs ordered the baked Mac N cheese with chicken, as the menu says that it comes with grilled chicken in it. Being a person with texture issues, we are very familiar with flaky chunk chicken from a can and what real grilled chicken tastes like and this was definitely CHUNK CHICKEN FROM A CAN. He picked it out and went on. Big bonus for the waitstaff and particularly Kaitlynn. We moved tables from a drafy window in the dining room to a booth in the back corner of the bar. She still kept our service even though it seemed to be out of her section and she didn't forget about us. She was sweet, authentic and attentive. We were so impressed with her service, I am contacting the business to make sure she gets the props she deserves. As for drinks: I tried their apple Sangria. Interesting and refreshing and I do love vodka. My hubs had a couple draft beers that were interesting as well.

Best pizza and best place to watch a game in Dexter. Great selection of draft beer. Their burgers and sandwiches are above average, but some of their dinners are just OK. The specialty drinks are really sweet if you are into that.

Tonight the service was mediocre at best I ordered the steak it came out with the plate piping hot but the steak only to be lukewarm along with the vegetables the same it's as though it said under the warning lamp for too long and the bartender never asked me how the food was

The breadsticks are doughy, the salads have gotten smaller and the service is not consistent.

Absolutely terrible service from management and only mediocre food. Find another place to go such as Red Brick or Zingermans roadhouse, Carlyle grill where you will be treated well and the food will be great. In a town like Dexter-Ann Arbor where we have many many choices for dinner, I am totally amazed when mgmt and/or servers are narrow-minded and rude. I ordered a draught beer and took a couple sips and decided it was not good, so I told the server it was bad and ordered a different beer. Then the server came back and said the manager told him I would have to pay for the beer I did not drink. I was totally surprised bc I have never encountered something like that. So I asked to speak with the manager. He came to our table and confirmed to me repeatedly that the restaurant could not afford to lose the cost of the drink and that is their policy. Are you kidding me? Srsly? So that manager is willing to take a stand on this silly issue? The food is not even that great. What if my food was gross? Would the mgmt refuse to take that off my check too? This is not the level of service I expect in the Ann Arbor area. In a restaurant near to Zingermans with award winning service, I think it is a very bad idea for a restaurant to put the mgmt ahead of the customers. Wow. Bad move.

My cousin recommended this place to us and I love it! We ordered large pan style big kahuna with garlic flavored crust and large pan style mighty meat with ranch flavored crust!

This place gets more disappointing every time I go there. Tonight I had the cedar plank salmon and it was awful! The consistency was slimy and although the seasoning was too strong, it couldn't mask the fishy taste. Worst salmon I've ever had. Turns out that it arrives at the restaurant pre-seasoned so it can't be fresh. In addition they don't offer any vegetable side dishes other than brussel sprouts and they have 2 of those. Either the owners love brussel sprouts (there's also a brussel sprout salad) or they're getting kick-backs from the brussel sprout farmers! Please bring back the snow peas as an alternative option! We only go to this restaurant when our child begs us. There are much better alternatives in Dexter. I don't recommend this place.

What a great experience! This was our first visit there-meeting friends as we are from Grand Rapids! The hostess was very friendly and the bartender / server was awesome. Friendly from the moment we sat down! Attentive and a really good at his job. Having been in the industry for many years-Michael is what every owner wants working for them. I'd recommend this place any day of the week!

Love the fish tacos here! Just the right blend of sweet and hot flavors and the servings are generous enough that I take half home with me for another meal! Friday nights are really busy so plan accordingly....

Pizza bar is good and the beverages are cold. Sandwiches are also very good and so are the turkey burgers.

I love Aubree's, and this location seems just as good as the original. Feta bread is the reason I'm not 100 lbs anymore. I realize it's basically pizza as an appetizer for pizza, but screw it, it's worth it to get it. Get a beer while you're at it, you might as well. They have the best pizza sauce I've ever had! I just wish they'd give me more than a tablespoon full when I ask for extra sauce. I've also tried their calzones, greek salads, mac n cheese, and their Kentucky Bourbon burger (as a veggie burger, of course) is the best veggie burger I've ever had... It's all great. They're a bit expensive if you're not getting pizza. They have several vegetarian options and they even have a gluten-free pizza crust which is great.

What a lovely Sunday afternoon! We wondered into Aubree's for a casual lunch and beer. I ordered a turkey burger, which i am not sure is what's recommended, at a pizza joint, but I thought it hit the spot. Service was slow at best, but forgivable since the beers were tall and the afternoon was lazy. Good times!

We loved Aubree's. Sat in their lovely outdoor space. Went after seeing the wonderful show at the Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea, MI. Great pizza (with Blue cheese as an extra topping!), sandwiches, chili. We live an hour away, and we would go back. You will love it! Downtown Dexter is delightful!l

Aubree's is a great option for those would like a good meal in a nice environment without having to spend a lot of money. My husband and I have eaten here a few times and have always enjoyed it. Both times I have ordered the pizza and salad and there has always been enough for a meal the next day. One time my husband ordered a burger that had ham on it and said it was amazing. They have a great atmosphere with a full bar. The wait staff have always been wonderful. Aubrees does have small room for private parities and from my understanding they offer a pizza/salad/breadstick buffet for approximately 10/person, but you can also order off the menu. I live in Dexter, but unfortunately they have an extremely LIMITED delivery map. I

The carry out service was horrible! First they didn't take the name on the order when my husband called. Second they never gave me a receipt when I paid in case. I had to wait for my order. When I got home and open the box.... It was the wrong order!! I kept saying I ordered burgers! They called my husband that placed the order but didn't leave a message. We called them back and asked if we can get our right order. Another 10 minutes back to the restaurant, we got our order and no receipt after we asked for the 2nd time. No I'm sorry or would you like to talk to the manager. Love the food but service totally sucked.

Mediocre pizza and salad bar at lunchtime. Been there twice now as it is convenient to work. They run out of pizza when it is busy - so don't be in a hurry (or don't be hungry!)

I like Aubree's as an alternative place to get pizza. The food is usually good and some creative pies on the buffet. I have ordered from the menu a couple of times and the food is ok, plain fare, but taste was good. My experience here with service has never been very good. The wait staff seem to be very slow to acknowledge and slow to serve. I had a group in from out of town and let the restaurant know in advance and we still were over 2 hours in getting served. I really want to give this place glowing reviews but just cannot.

We had heard that this was the place to go for FISH TACOS ...and they were spot on! During previous visits to this restaurant, we have tried other offerings on the menu but could honestly never give Aubree's more than the 3 stars that it is currently rated. Our order came with 4 good sized "tacos" which I felt were more like "wraps" filled with warm and delicious white flaky fish and other goodies including some delicious slaw and jalepenos on a bed of shredded lettuce and tomatoes. A tasty combo for sure. The sour cream and salsa put this delicious entree over the top. For a new twist, try dipping the tacos in a small cup of Aubree's Greek salad dressing. Our server did a good job for us and the multiple TVs provided an ample dose of March Madness for any B-ball fan on Good Friday. As far as I am concerned, there is only one thing on the menu when we go to Aubree's. The fish tacos rate 5 Big Ones!

The service is not always the best, but the food selection and quality is above average. Aubree's is a decent family restaurant, and the management supports the local schools with pizza donations! I recommend the margarita pizza -- you can order a personal size; trust me, you wont be disappointed.

A last resort for dinner. The food is terrible, greasy. They do not do vegetables well. I ordered a burger and even the pickle that came on the side tasted terrible. The only redeeming quality of this location is their beer selection which is all I will be back for.

Ok place in the center of Dexter (where the North Point used to be) offering up sit-down Pizza service with an assortment of sandwiches. Nice, spread out place with much of the dining area intact from when it was the North Point Restaurant. Additions include plenty of big, flat screen TVs around...as well as some smaller ones placed individually within some of the booths. The bar area was redesigned and is a little more cozy than Aubree's predecessor. To the food: Not bad. The pizza quality is good, but certainly nothing exceptional. A regular, no frills large (14") one topping pizza comes to 13.49 (11.99 + 1.50 per topping). The crust is good; sauce is not too salty and the toppings are served up well. The only style of crust is hand-tossed. For the group ahead of the pizza, ordered up the boneless chicken wings. They were very, very heavily battered. I would not order those again. Another sampled appetizer was the Artichoke-Spinach dip. Served with regular tortilla chips, it was tasty, but rather loose and too milky. On a good note: Service was friendly and prompt. Atmosphere was fair. Interior is modern, but with large, bare walls devoid any real charm. The bar area is smaller and warmer with less of the staleness of the dining area. With the hard floors and bare walls, the noise is pretty high even with a few amount of people.

We ordered a large salad and pizza for a family of 4 for carry out. $40 later the salad was so small there was only enough for 2 people (barely). The pizza was dry, minimal toppings and a crust like cardboard. Way overpriced and poor quality food.

  • Travis O.

The best thing about Aubree's is the service. The staff is always on top of it no matter how busy that they get. They rock! The atmosphere is also great but I rate the food as ok. The pizza is always dry and when you ask for extra sauce they ignore your request but swear they gave it to you. The waitresses always bring a side dish of it though which makes it ok. Also important to note is that the beer is always cold so make sure you order one! All in all, GREAT service and atmosphere, mediocre food but good cold beer to wash it down with. One of my favorite places to go.

The berry crumble looks great on the picture, so we ordered it. It tastes good too, except that it came with less crumble. The chicken burger is OK.

Had dinner here with a large group! Pretty much everything we had was good and the servers did a great job dealing with us! I got one of the salads and it was delightful. The ambiance is nice too, a mix do sports bar and family restaurant. Will definitely come back!

I love Aubree's. I lived in Ypsi for several years and recently bought a home in Dexter. I was psyched to see that Aubree's was moving in. We have eaten in a few times and ordered delivery a few times. On Superbowl Sunday we ordered delivery (a few hours before the game) and our pizza was delivered in fewer than 30 minutes - hot, fresh and delicious. Staff has always been super nice when we've eaten in. It's pizza. It's not a high-end steak joint or anything.... they do the pizza thing very well. If you want to eat carefully crafted, creative, expensive food go down the street to Terry B's (seriously, it's really good, but it carries a price tag). If you like really yummy pizza, Aubree's is the place.

Used to be my favorite place for long time, but I think it's not a great value. I really liked ordering one thing from the menu, then it got old. The place is more like a nice bar than a pizza place. I would go to Thompson's in Chelsea for that.

Absolutley Wonderful Service and food!! We have Customers a lot coming in @ TS and ask where to go for lunch. We give them Choices for up town Dexter and yesterday Beth & Jim from Ohio, went to Aubree's for lunch. They called today & said We loved it. Beth had the Goulash & Jim had the Reuben. Beth said: the Goulash was out of this world, The Best she she has every had and Jim loved his Reuben. It was the best he has ever had also. They said they will be back and go back to Aubree's in Dexter. It is such a cute place and so clean and freindly. Beth also said please keep the Goulash on the menu .. Thank You for a wonderful Lunch I also meet a girlfriend @ Aubree's last night for dinner and appetizers. WOO! The spinach & Artichoke dip, was Delicious. And the reuben was awesome!! The service was also the best!!. Before I left, ordered a Pizza to take home for Don and he said it was one of the best Pizza's he has ever had . And thanks to Will ( the very nice and pleasent & always smiling Bartender ) I had a great Margarita.. .

We were looking for a new pizza place in the greater A2 area. Aubree's is good, better than the chains, but still no comparison to Pizza House (A2). I was hoping for something more like Carmen's in Chicago; the pizza was OK.

I've eaten here three times. The graph of quality of food and service is a steep downward slope. Yesterday was the worst I've experienced. Service was inexperienced, slow, Big-Boy quality. Actually, we went to Big Boy's afterwards for coffee and dessert (after we were flat out ignored by our server after our meal), and the service was much better. The menu very recently changed; it is now uninspired, mediocre, and chain-restaurant-ish. I feel like I'm at a Ruby Tuesday at the mall. Hosts were tacky and unprofessional; it feels like they hired every high-schooler in the area with little to no training. Food was good not great; did not make up for the immature service all around. Even the bartenders and other servers we ran into managed to be rude and/or indifferent. I'd like to like Aubree's. I live in the area and want to support local business. But it's following in North Point's footsteps of starting out strong and going straight downhill. I won't be back, and I recommend you go elsewhere - Red Brick is a better option. Heck, I'd rather eat at the Dexter Pub across the street - at least the service is decent.

So good!! Came here on Friday night for my friend's wedding rehearsal dinner. We were in a private room and we had the pizza buffet completely to ourselves. The service was wonderful - there was one waiter who ran the whole show and he did a phenomenal job. Even when we all ordered drinks and then got up and moved around, he found everyone and made sure everyone had what they ordered before he left the room. The pizza was delicious and there were about 5 different kinds on the buffet. They kept the buffet stocked at all times and the pizza was always piping hot. The only glitch was the random guy who kept taking his kid through our buffet! The set-up was outside of our private room, so this guy just kept taking his kid up to get more pizza. It wasn't a big deal and everyone laughed about it, but it would have been nice if there had been a sign saying that the buffet was for a private party. I wish we lived closer to Aubree's so we could go back more often!

I really wanted to like Aubree's. It's close to my husband's office and we frequented North Pointe which occupied Aubree's space previously. We've gone there on several occasions and received okay service, but nothing really to write home about. We went there on December 30th for the pizza buffet as we have many times before. The entire time we were there, the buffet never seemed to have enough pizza for the patrons and there were long lines waiting for food. Due to this, I was only able to have one piece of pizza for the buffet cost. What truly surprised me is no one from management seemed to care or come around to the tables to apologize for the inconvenience. After this last experience, I would eat at Aubree's only if Red Brick or Dexter's Pub weren't open.

New Howell restaurant...I really wanted to like this place, but not so much. Over cooked appetizer, server told us manager would stop by, but that didn't happen. Server over charged us for our meals, had to get that corrected. If you can't do the basics when you know you have to make a good impression, you're in trouble. I'm giving this place a year and then done. Too bad!

My friend and I went for dinner on a Monday night. The place was packed, maybe because it has just recently opened. There was a short wait for a table and we ended up sitting at one of the tables near the bar. There were televisions blaring. The noise level was way too high for me. My friend and I had to shout to hear each other. I ordered a garden salad and got the Greek salad instead. Mistake in the kitchen, per the waitress. The salad was huge, enough for two people easily. There was a gluten free pizza which I wanted to try. The sauce was great and the crust was passable. This is the first gluten free pizza I have ordered in a restaurant so I don't really have anything for comparison. I would not go back for dinner because of the noise level. Will try lunch and see how that is.

My wife and I both really enjoy Aubree's. We have been there several times and have never had bad food. It can be a very busy place and with lots of younger servers, on some occasions, service can suffer just a little. Most of the time though...service is great. I am a pizza monster and try to have it if the place is considered a pizza place. I would put Aubree's pizza close to the top of my list for pizza that I have had. I have had a few of the other items on the menu, and they have all been really good. All and all really enjoy going there.

Have eaten here several times now - the food is good, the service is alright and all in all nothing to complain about. Just nothing to rave about either. Good choice for larger groups as the seating plan is good.

Arrived this afternoon around 3:10 or so with my girlfriend. We sat down and were immediately tended to and brought our drinks and upon inquiring as to if the Happy Hour Appetizer Special (half-off appetizers) applied to us (it did), decided we would order some Potato Skins with my Fish Tacos and her Caesar Salad. The Potato Skins came out within 10 minutes of our being there and our drinks were constantly looked after. I headed to my car to grab my girlfriend a sweatshirt and when I returned, her salad was there, and by this time it was around 3:20 or so. I understood that fish tacos would obviously take longer than a salad so we sat and waited for a while longer. After a half hour of waiting and no one coming to check on us or give us an update, I decided to go in and inform them of the situation. There was a lady who was very polite and seemed sympathetic to my situation and hinted in a sense that if I were to receive my meal at this point that it would be free. The waiter finally returns to me with the food where I indicated that if I were to have to pay for this meal that I would like it removed from my bill. He picks it up, turns away and under his breath mutters. "Jesus-fucking-Christ," and storms back into the kitchen to print me a new receipt. He returns again with my revised bill, where the appetizer is full priced, drops it on the table, babbles some other sort of rude thing and leaves to the kitchen again. Needless to say, I only paid the price asked and did not even come close to leaving this guy a tip. I will no longer be returning to this place and if you like your food to actually get to you, I'd recommend you don't go either. A waste of my time and money.

Food was ok, but nothing to write home about. Our main complaint was our server. We could tell she didn't want to be there. She was also very rude to my brother and asked him "are you going to hand that plate to me?" when she couldn't reach it. Overall, average food. Not worth the wait.

We got a carry out pizza with the coupons on the restaurant web site. For some reason, their coupons are only good for carry out, not dining in. We tried the Tuscan sun speciality pizza, which was very good. I can't say much about the restaurant itself as we were only in there for a few minutes to pick up the pie, but the place did seem very loud as previous reviews suggested. I'm sure we will go back for carry out, but we probably won't try the restaurant itself.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
