The deli slice is delicious! The wife and kids love it. It's like nothing else available in the D. I work across the xway, and visitors/suppliers/techs coming to the plant stop here first for subs or a deli slice.

There's a hidden gem of Detroit- and it's Dan & Vi's DELI SLICE pizza. Located just off 94 on Chene, you'll find the place by seeing all of the construction crew trucks and Carhardt clad manly men sauntering in for lunch. Two steps of the Deli Slice: - First they bake this incredible parmesan pizza bread .. spongey and moist, but with crunchy edges & topping. - Second step is to slice this huge plain pizza down the center- and fill it with layers of incredible italian deli meat, shredded lettuce, thinly sliced onions & tangy italian vinaigrette. The result is a masterpiece of mind, taste & sight. It seems so wrong.. but it's so damn right! The staff is pretty awesome.. and they keep well stocked fridges of local sodas (& different beers) & a generous chip selection.

The deli slice is awesome. Imagine a really good Italian sub...but in the form of a pizza. The only decent restaurant/store in a two mile radius. Worst part would be the hours: only open 9-5, Monday-Friday. Not even open on Saturdays? The big, gravel parking lot is in bad shape but there is a also plenty of street parking available. Definitely a favorite spot for working class: most of the customers come in with hard hats.

Great Italian Subs. I get the #3 Dbl Meat & Dbl Cheese. It's about $5 and will fill you up. The Deli Slice is real popular. It's the Italian sub ingredients with pizza dough top & bottom like a sandwich. Good Breaded Wings, Red Hots, and Polish Sausage Sandwich to name a few items available. Not really for the health conscious, but it's a good, quick, carry out for a solid lunch. I eat lunch from Dan & VI's close to once a week. I'm going with 4 stars for the unique and delicious meal.

We order from here often. It's like a neighborhood party store that has pizza, homemade subs, sandwiches, wings, pop and the like. They make most of it themselves. Very nice people, quick service. They do close early, and it's not a great neighborhood, but they are great to run in and grab a sub, chips and pop for lunch. Or Pizza and wings for dinner

It's a convenient store. Well, it's a kitchen. Hell, it's both. Dan & Vi's is quite possibly one of the most overlooked and underrated lunch stops in the D. Grab a hot dog, a red hot, the stuffed cabbage, the pizza but grab something quick. If you're going to make a one-time visit, you MUST try the deli slice. It's like an Italian sub on homemade focaccia bread. These sell out every day and you'll have to beat the DTE, City employees, truck drivers, students and general passerbys to the punch. Last time I was there, a DTE guy in front of me bought the the last 5 slices. Come as early as possible, that's the key. Or be smart, order a whole deli slice sandwich to go for you and some friends. If you don't have any friends, you will after sharing this gem. Not the most savory part of town so don't fall for the complimentary valet. Also, order and be ready to pay as Dan & Vi's keeps the line moving. This place does some serious volume so lollygaggers will get left out.

Favorite lunch spot for the working class. This place has got the best munchers (jalepeno flavored potato and cheese poppers). The deli slice lives up to the hype. Pizza is just ok. Spicy chicken wings are awesome. They have what resembles taquitos but bigger; The southwest version is by far the best, followed by the chili and cheese. Mac and cheese is delish. You cant beat this place for the price. I usually hit them at lunch time and they are busy but very fast; they know people have to get back to work and lunch is precious time that cant be wasted. Service is fast and friendly, especially the cashier. Dont forget to grab a beer.

Place is a great hidden spot for a quick lunch, the deli pizza is delicious, try the jalapeño poppers as well. Stop by grab a slice and a pop won't be disappointed.

Dan & V's has been a little secret that our office has been keeping for years. They serve a unique, but totally delicious "deli slice" pizza that takes the perfect blend of cold cuts, cheese, and dressing and squeezes them between two whole seasoned pizzas crusts. It's kinda like if two pizzas and a giant Italian sub decided to create an unholy spawn. Delicious, delicious spawn... (FYI, they will make turkey spawn too...) Now, you might think $25 dollars might be a bit much for something that comes in a pizza box, but it comes with approximately 10 slices, and one will be pretty filling for most. Well, the secrets out now, so go get one now.
