After reviewing other posts on here and craving some tender Shawarma, I decided to give this place a try. By it's location, I knew it wouldn't be huge, but on walking in, I was surprised at what little this place offered atmosphere-wise. Two other couples were seated among the (guessing?) 10 tables, and that's pretty much all there was to the place. The back table had a stack of menus, a calculator, an order pad, and a phone on it, so I'm guessing that took the place of a register/counter. Oh, and no one could be seen working; I stood waiting for about 4 minutes before someone turned the corner and saw me. After being sat, I also noticed that while there was some decent art on the walls, there was no music; the only sounds to be heard were from the conversations from the other patrons and the vibrations of a cooler of some kind coming from the kitchen. I wish I brought my headphones... it made me really antsy. On seeing the picture for the Shawarma Combo on here, I figured that was as good of a place to start as any, especially with both the chicken and meat. When I looked at the menu, I was surprised to see that it looked like it was freshly made, but the prices were well above the single $ I expected. This is a $$ place, where you'll expect to spend around $15.00 a visit - more with tip. On ordering, the meal came with a choice of hummus or baba ganouj, fries or rice, and a basic salad or fattoush. Wanting to get a good baseline, I went with hummus, rice, and fattoush. The fattoush.. was awesome. Well seasoned, fresh vegetables. Very well done. When the main course came, it was just disappointing all the way through... Being an employee of restaurants, I could tell instantly that the chicken was precut, packaged, and reheated to serve. There was no tearing of the meat that would have happened if the chicken was grilled and then cut. It also had a layer of slime (almost like the boiled off fat that comes when you process meats and put them into a bag) on it. I scraped the slime off and the chicken was poorly seasoned and extremely dry. Really quite horrible. The meat looked and tasted like it was cooked in-house, as there were parts that were charred as well as gristly. It had a hint of seasoning, but was cooked well too past being tender enough to have any real flavor. The hummus was blended well, but it seemed the only seasoning was lemon. I've had a lot better, but this was on the same level as the worst I've had. Oh, and the rice? It was clumpy and doused with butter (sadly its only seasoning). When the server finally came by with the bill... Oh, before I get to that, the empty salad bowl and my empty drink glass were on the table waiting before he brought the main course, and they stayed there, untouched, until he brought the bill. No refills of even my water were offered. When he did come by with the bill and a box (he must have assumed?), he shrugged and said "Sorry about that" when I told him how disappointed I was, and then walked away. I didn't take anything home with me, paid, and went to another restaurant to get food I could eat.

Inexperienced staff, they don't know the menu, food was OK. Chicken shawarma meat kind of dry. The large hommus was huge the salad was fresh, nothing special , could be better, and no beer!! So 2 star's. Went 5/15/14

I've been here many times, I have no clue why I keep coming back, maybe just because it's close to my school and usually is pretty empty. Every time has been an awful experience. They never have anything on their menu, and the waiters or waitresses have to always apologize for the cook messing up your order or having to come back and inform you that they don't have what your want. Avoid going here if you can. (After my meal) So and friend and I ordered a veggie plate that includes falafel, veggie grape leaves, baba, and a salad. They were all out of grape leaves, baba and we only got the falafel with two extra pieces. They ended up making me pay full price and the justification was that they didn't charge me for a smoothie and after arguing we ended up getting free salads (the ones that was supposed to come with our meal)

Great food in a small, non-assuming, clean, and friendly setting. Great service and free upgrades when they run out of your original order. $30 meal for 3 is an insane amount of food. Just so good from shawarma to kabob. Jerusalem salad was fresh. Baba ghanoush is amazing, as is the hummus. Definitely can't wait to be back.

  • Chrissie N.

Not a fan of the chicken shawarma or fattoush salad here. Chicken seasoning wasn't good and there was a lot of dark meat. The lettuce wasn't very fresh and the fattoush dressing wasn't good. I tried it twice and didn't like it either time. Might give it one more chance but there's so many other good places to get middle eastern food in Dearborn.

Went for Lunch - ordered the Chicken Swarma lunch special which was rice, fatoush salad, hommos and pita bread. Portions were huge and at a great price point. Extremely friendly waitress and quick, respectful service. I will be back for Lunch many times in the future!

Affordable decent food. Not a place you might take a date, but good takeout. Service is friendly, they are just understaffed. But everyone is always very polite, and they aim to please.

Mmmm. The floor was dirty, the cash register 9 key gets stuck and the food was great. I loved it! Oh yeah, and the Shawarma was awesome (I've shawarma in Egypt, Bangladesh, Malaysia...this is up there with them)

Great food. Shawarma was great the tawouk was amazing and the boneless chicken was very well cooked. The sub's are great too. I've been there many times with family. No complains at all. I would recommend people to go there more often. Some times I order to go chicken shawarma salads. They are always fresh. Great place.

I go to this place for shawarmas. They are good. I went back to it just to get a shawarma, even when I was saving money trying to cut down on eating out. This place is small however, so I prefer to do take-out rather than dine in. At lunch time they are overbooked with a single waitress trying to hustle the phone, the incoming customers and dining in crowd. They seem to have a problem with the door - it either slams on you and is generally not well-seated. Maybe they'll fix it some day. So yeah shawarmas are cheaper at lunch time but get more expensive at dinner time. I think shawarmas and chicken tawook is all I've ever ordered there and those were fine.

Food was alright. Some of it was cold. Understaffed. Waitress was apologetic but over her head.

Stumbled on this place on the way to the airport. Good food at good value. The decor looks like they bought the Italian restaurant kit rather than the Lebanese one.

I came across this restaurant when me and my fiance were in the mood for something to eat. We were the only ones in the restaurant and our order was taken and our food came out really fast. The food was okay nothing amazing, my fiance order a chicken fattoush salad and I ordered a chicken shawarma. My Shawarma was smothered in garlic paste which was a bit to much for me. The price for both our meals was decent but I have gotten much better Lebanese food for the same price and bigger portions as well. On yelp I noticed that it does not have the hours for Sunday. They are open on Sundays'!

  • Brady E.

Probably not ever eating here again. It looked like a slow Friday for me, but the place was basically deserted at lunch. All I wanted was a falafel or two, and maybe some grape leaves, so I ordered one of the veggie platters. No joy, they were out of something, so I settled for a falafel sandwich with fries and lentil soup. The soup was way over salted, the fries were what you'd expect and the sandwich was blah. In retrospect, I think I got charged for a bowl of soup instead of a cup, and for large fries instead of the medium that I had ordered.

In a city that is crowded with good Middle Eastern restaurants, this place barely has a chance to get noticed. Menu is average, it offers what every other Lebanese restaurant offers, nothing unique Food is average, not bad / not good. No house-made fresh pita. Interior is "inherited", this spot used to be occupied by Deliziosa, a Mediterranean-Italian restaurant which moved next door to take up a larger space. The place looks exactly like it was before. Service is, well, so so. Priced slightly below LaPita which is in the same strip mall. With house-made fresh pita, superior food and an established following, I doubt LaPita would worry too much about this new competition.

I really enjoy this place. I was in the area and saw the sign and thought I would try it out. What I like most about this place, and it's sadly rare in Dearborn, is they have a nice affordable lunch combo. You can get a Chicken schwarma plater combo with a very generous portion of chicken a decent sized fatoosh salad and hummus or baba ganoush for under $10. The food has a great flavor and the service is very good. Decoration inside is fair, but the food makes up for it.

Visited this place this past weekend and I must saw I was impressed. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced and the staff was very friendly. The tabouli was to die for!!

  • M S.

I went there for the first time yesterday. We ordered chicken shawarma salads. It was absolutely delicious, very fresh and perfectly seasoned. This is the best chicken shawarma I've had. Since I don't eat bread, I was super happy they didn't supply any with my salad. The garlic dip is amazing. I can't wait to go back.

Intended as a carry out or just an in and out kind of joint. Food in fresh & fast. Better that the restaurant at the other end of the parking lot

Found this restaurant on the internet and was pleasantly surprised. Just came back from a business trip and could not even think of eating at the airport. It is all about the food, generous portions, prepared perfectly, friendly staff, great prices, great flavor. I will be back, definitely.

You'd think with all the competition, a new Arabic restaurant would be made exceptional. Not so. As an Arab myself, I know how good Arabic food tastes and this place blew it big time. The mentality of some is that Americans won't know the difference and you can cut corners. That can be true; some won't know any better. But what about the rest of us? Other places start out great, then start getting cheap once there is a good customer base. I just shake my head. You can't con people for long. Here's a hint: if you do not see an Arabic restaurant packed with Arabs eating there, it is probably bad. The high price was not justified by the small quantity of meat which was also overcooked, dry and charred black...That was the shawarma, their namesake dish! Garbage! After I politely complained, I could hear insults being shouted from the kitchen. The cook came to my table and tried to be intimidating. What low-lifes. Avoid this terrible place. It's just another rip-off joint.

Great, reasonably priced schwarmas. I would eat these every day if I could. Usually pretty fast service (around 15 minutes). There was one time that it took almost an hour to get food, but it hasn't happened again.

Walked in today shortly after they opened: the place reeked of what smelled like natural gas. Very off-putting.

  • Saalai S.

Don't go there, sloooowwww!!! Food not fresh at all, We ordered the simplest things in the menu, chicken sub and felafel sandwich with fries, the pita was stale, the chicken was over cooked and hard as a rock, felafel - I don't even wanna say how bad it was! It was soggy!! When we complained the guy from inside said "if you ate half the place you got to pay for it". Well I not asking for free food. I just want good food for what I pay! Poor servers have no idea what they are doing!!! This would be last time I go here.
