One of my favorite Coney Islands. The coneys are great, but the gyros and salads are really over the top. Much better than those over priced Coney Island chains!

This is a great family owned Coney Island. Food is good and the prices are great. The service staff is quick and personable. The best part of the place is the Greek dressing. The Greek dressing at holiday grill is THE BEST Greek dressing I have ever had and is far superior than any dressing found in greektown. I don't go here often but when I do, no complaints.

Great portions, great service, awesome food, great prices, and the best damn pancakes I've had in my life

Toni Toni Toni! She is on fleak!!! And the girls always ask if you want more coffee!

I've been ordering carry out/dining in at least once every few weeks here for years. Great food. Whatever they marinate the chicken breast in is superb, and they're Greek dressing is my favorite anywhere. 5 stars

Traditional breakfast and delicious greek food! And I should know because I'm greek ;) My favorite is of course the gyros (tsaziki sauce is perfect) and the holiday grill salad. I love the their Greek dressing they should bottle it up and sell it and the grilled chicken is marinated over night and is very tender. Lots of good food for the price!

Good food, great service. Coneys and Gyros are good, order the sauce on the side for the Gyros though as they put on too much for my taste. The french dip is made from real roast beef, and is a real treat. The meatloaf is another of my favorites. Definitely a huge step up from fast food. Not really more expensive, and really quite fast.

Went here for a late breakfast on a weekday. Service was ok, food was what I expected. I got corned beef hash it was homemade and was good. My wife got an omelette and she liked it. Reasonably priced and quick service.

I've been coming here since I was a kid! Even some of the same waitresses work here from then! They have awesome service & even better food. The chicken lemon rice is to DIE for & it's hard to find better anywhere else!!

There is more about this place that I didn't like than what I did like. Good thing there are other Coney Islands in the area that I can go to. When I ordered the pancakes they came out about the size of a mason jar lid, the bacon was undercooked and the coffee was unsatisfactory. They brought my colleagues toast out when he was practically finished with his meal. She said that the cook had forgotten about it... Really? Toast? Although the waitress, I must say, was polite about the matter. I can't complain too much because I guess that's what get yourself into when you buy a $6 breakfast.

At first, this place is utterly unremarkable. It's good. Just not, well, remarkable. Upon several visits, though, it begins to hook you in with its freshness and consistency. Which is remarkable these days. The breakfasts and salads are top notch. The service is homey. The decor is modern formica. Put it all together and you get yourself a perfect 'go to' neighborhood joint that never fails to satisfy.

I truly wish Holiday Grill was better. My boyfriend and I ordered everyday because of it's location ad conveniency. But the past few times have been awful, and I will not be returning. A few weeks ago, my boyfriend put in a carryout order before work. They forgot to put in his order and we'e rude about resolving the issue. Then a few days after that, there was a twist tie in his omelette. And then yesterday, he pulled a LONG BLACK HAIR OUT OF HIS MOUTH. The hash browns always seem to be burnt and the toast is soggy warm bread with butter. We will not be back.

Tried this place out again after actually getting a seat this time. Food most certainly failed to impress. Canned vegetables and a chicken kabob skewer with absolutely no flavor. GF's soup was lukewarm. Sent back. I have no idea why people give this place 5 stars. There are much better coneys for the money. I honestly think the other reviews are way out of line. I certainly won't be back.

Holiday. Grill. Salad. There's other good stuff too, but that salad is the stand-out dish, in my opinion. The pita is served warm and is so soft...I want one now!

The best Greek salad around! Lettuce, tomato, cukes, green pepper, red onions, peppers, beets and feta. Perfect sweet Greek dressing. I eat a lot of Greek salads, and I think this is the best around. Mine has always been very fresh and crisp and green. The coneys are good too, though nothing special. Spinach pie is good if you get it the day it's made, and not reheated. Good gyros as well!

A coney is a coney is a coney........right? Wrong. (I am referring to the type of restaurant, not the coney dog) Holiday is one of those rare places where the stars align and all the elements of a good coney island are consistently present. The menu is what we're used to around here in a Greek Coney Island. I have never had anything I didn't like, from chili dogs to fries to Greek salad. The food is fresh, well prepared, and reasonably priced. I have one issue, and it is a really small one. The ketchup on the table is not a brand I recognize, and it is too sweet for me. The waitstaff is really wonderful, and even if there is a crowd, you wont wait long for your food. I love that they are family owned/operated, which makes the food consistently good.

Greek Salad portion was way too big and it had brown lettuce in it. It also came with a hard boiled egg cut in half which I thought was odd because I've never seen that in a greek salad. The spinach pie was gross. It was definitely not made the same day. You could tell it was old. Also a very large portion. My husband had a bacon cheesburger that was good but the fries were terrible (again, HUGE portion of fries), he didn't eat more than 1. The side of chili had something floating in it. The cooks looked quite dirty themselves, making me wonder how clean of kitchen they keep. Don't think I will be going back. The bill was over $25 for the above mentioned items. Definitely not worth it. I won't be going back.

Holiday Grill isn't just your basic Coney Island but don't let me turn you away from ordering their coney because I usually do! They have great breakfast (served all day), excellent entrees, awesome soup & their Holiday Grill salad is HUGE. Their Greek dressing is super tasty & they don't skimp on the feta like a lot of places do. The service is fast, the servers are on top of their job & after a few visits you are a regular & treated as such. You can't beat the prices and though they get super busy during breakfast on the weekends the turnover is so quick you rarely have to wait. Opa!

This is your classic neighborhood coney place. We love to put their Greek dressing on everything. It used to be really smokey but its not anymore. In a bizarre move, the tabletops are now covered in advertising.

Yummy, cheap, and my family finally got (and enjoyed) their Coney dogs! The broiled trout and onion rings were fab. Nice meal post-Ford museum lunch :) Found out later that this was a family favorite of my friend Jill, who comes from a long line of amazing cooks - I can see why.

Good customer service and reasonable price for the classic breakfast.

People clearly love this place, my wife included. It's nothing spectacular, just a regular coney-style place, but they do what they do well. Good breakfasts, great rueben sandwich where the meat wasn't fatty or stringy, and my wife swears by the holiday grill special salad. Just a local place that has somehow made a really good impression on the community.

I know three things: good beer, The Karate Kid, and greek salads with chicken. And The Holiday Grill Salad is incredible. Big enough to share with a loved one, this salad has it all. Quality and quantity. Detroit is blessed with a bunch independent coney restaurants, and this place is one of the best. Just west of downtown Dearborn it's good stuff.

Writing this review about breakfast only. My many experiences here have been the result of the fact that it is a convenient place to meet after grocery shopping. I have to give it only 2 stars because I notice that they only use the cheapest products they can find. Regardless of the taste. Right down to the ketchup they use. It is the cheapest generic brand from GFS. Ham is cheap, formed, tasteless, and rubbery. Breakfast special ( 2 eggs, hash browns, meat, toast) consistently has a harsh taste of old/cheap grease. It is not hard to make a good breakfast but they consistently provide a plate of cheap food that just don't tickle my palate.

Best Greek in town!! Love their gyros, the meat is fabulous, service is friendly, very casual but a great place to grab a quick bite!
(5)Wendy H.
Good coney island dog and good fries. Friendly, quick service. It was clean and pleasant, and the bill came to $4.28 with tax (no drink, of course). I also loved that they were happy to toast my own gluten-free hot dog bun and serve it up for me.
(5)Barbara R.
I loves me some Holiday Grill. We've gone to other coney islands and they just don't compare. Yes, they know my name. Yes, they know my drink order and bring it automatically, but don't let that deter you. I really haven't had anything that I didn't like. Service is quick and friendly and the food is tasty to boot.
(5)Tim M.
Fast food decor with seated dining service. Chicken had great flavor, but was a touch dry. Gyros were good and I really liked the homemade yogurt sauce. Service was friendly and helpful in picking the right items off a large menu. For a meal under $8 this was a great pick.

Greek Owned is the operative word here. I live near Washington DC and was visiting Holiday Grill for the first time for lunch. We enjoyed the lemon soup, Greek salad, and Gyro sandwich. Very good service. Great food and a super owner. I shall return!
