Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

+ friendly service, good pizza - limited menu Went in here today and picked up a large pepperoni pizza for $11. They said they have them right away or I could have waited for 25 minutes while they make a custom pie for $13. I didn't feel like waiting as w

Solid lunch specials. 2 slices and a 20 oz for $5. Slices are more like 3-4 pieces of pizza. Good food. Reasonable price.

It's all about the meatball sub with Cheese... It just doesn't get any better... No others can compare to The Pizza Slice... No, not even DIB... I used to sneak out of high school lunch, and drive here for a pizza and a beer... The pizza was worth suspension back in the day and still is now...

Pizza is delicious. I can't speak of anything else but this is the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had and I've had a lot. The bread is what makes it. Generous amounts of cheese and the pepperonis are good but the bread is amazing. It's like garlic bread. I would trust anything on the menu based on this pizza alone.

Great place to pick up a tasty (and affordable) lunch in Dearborn. Their ready-to-go pizza slices, pepperoni rolls and meatball subs definitely hit the spot when you need indulgent Italian comfort food. A plethora of fresh cookies also provides a wonderful selection for that little something sweet after the main event.

The Capri Bakery has long been one of my favorites. It has served the same quality pizza for years and to date, nothing has changed. Having grown up a Warrendale kid, the Capri was just a short bike ride away. Pizza here is made on sheet trays and cut into ridiculously large squares. It's not Buddys, Little Caesars, Supino or Jets. It's its own. One slice here is actually two slices. Typically, the slice menu comes in cheese, pepperoni and a daily special. If they have it, try the breakfast slice sometime. The pizza is pre-made and they reheat your order for you. Not to worry. Capri does such heavy volume that the pizza is always fresh. I usually just have them knock the chill off the pizza otherwise that 800 degree oven makes the slices come a nuclear temperatures. The pizza here is unique. It's just simple pizza. The crust here comes out like a crunchy Italian bread and they cover with a thin layer of zesty sauce blanketed in quality cheese. That's it. No wings. No salad bar. No poutine. No BBQ. Just good pizza. A simple recipe done right every time. Capri Bakery by its namesake is a bakery. Pick up a loaf of their bread or take home a couple pounds of the cookies. Also, their pepperoni rolls are excellent. You can get take-and-bake options on pizza trays as well. You save a couple of bucks and get the real deal at home. Ford Motor employees flock to this place daily for lunch. They have seating for about 30 but they fill up fast. The girls at the counter keep the lines moving so you don't waste your lunch break waiting. Grab your order to go and drive down to Ford Park and eat at the picnic tables.

THEIR BREAD ROLLS ARE AMAZING ! Better then any other bakery in Dearborn/Detroit. When you walk out you will always leave a with a smile

Amazing pizza, nothing fancy but I'm suspicious if their cost perhaps has an addictive substance mixed in. It's that good! Their prices are impeccable also! $5.00 lunch deal, I received 3 large slices of pizza and a soda of my choice. On Mondays they have another $5.00 deal but it's your choice of any 3 if the following: pizza, pepperoni rolls, cannoli's, bread and one other item in forgetting. Today I tried their cheese only pizza, wow. .. I love that Capri isn't cheap with the cheese either, you have to appreciate that in the land of constantly ordering extra cheese and being charged $2.00 for cheese that should've been given to begin with. I highly recommend their chocolate chip cookies, soft and to die for! There's limited seating/parking but the service is always quick and friendly. I'm a lifer Capri, I'll be back!

This pizza is deliciously different and happy. I knew if Rodger W and Neil Y were fans I was safe. Do not expect typical Detroit style, this is a crunchy crisp Italian bread type crust. The pizza also has that soft chew to it as well. It is really quite addictive. It is handy for a work stop or to take with and bake it up at home. The sauce is a bit zippy, tasty and plentiful. There is plenty of cheese and there is just something tasty about the pepperoni. I am not normally a fan and maybe it is the searing hot oven but this pepperoni makes me happy. If they have meat lovers featured on a day you swing by, grab some It has a bunch of smaller pieces that cook up in such a great manner! This pizza is probably quite unlike anything you have ever tried unless you are a downriver native. The pepperoni rolls? Yeah my husband is a fan. I prefer a cheese roll. The pepperoni is better on top of the pizza in my book. If you think to call ahead the Italian sausage is a good pick. You must get cheese and sauce in your roll. It makes the roll. The meatball sub is good too. Swing by Capri, eat in or get a to go. It is definitely worth a whirl!

Those pepperoni rolls are amazing.... Get them early, they can run out! All the pastries I've tried have been delicious, too.
(5)Sonny J.
Love this bakery, everything about it is good. The slices of pizza are my favorite.. Too bad they don't open on mondays though
(5)Aaron D.
Great pizza (and pepperoni rolls), and meatball subs. A good amount of food for what you're charged, although the prices have gone up lately. Not much variety if you aren't interested in pizza or a meatball sub (or Italian pastries).
(4)Chad A.
Small, quaint place but the pepperoni rolls and pizza slices are really good. Lunch specials every day.
(5)Glen G.
All pepperoni rolls are made to order. With sauce, without, cheese, no cheese etc Even with a long line. You usually don't wait more than 10 minutes. Excellent election of bottled beverages as well. Favorite Italian bakery
(5)Andrea M.
The pizza and pepperoni rolls are outstanding. Sometimes the pizza is a little too thick, which means they let it rise too much before baking it. And then sometimes the pizzas too lightly done on the bottom. That's why I give this place four stars instead of five; but for the most part they do a great job!
(4)Amy K.
Their pizza is great, super greasy, doughy and flavorful. The service is usually quick and friendly. The portions are large and cheap, always look for their specials first.
(5)Heather P.
Absolutely love this place. We go here every Saturday morning for their delicious pizza! Two of my favs- tomato, feta and spinach and the one with hamburger, onion and mushroom on it. The service is also wonderful and down to earth. It seems like a nice, family owned business. I've also had their cannolis, which are also yummy! You can't beat the price either for such great food.

One more amazing place off my metro-Detroit bucket-list. And, oh my god. What is it with Dearborn and crazy good Italian places? When I walked in the line was nearly out the door, with name-tagged customers from the businesses around town. The line moved quickly enough, which must be why people coming in behind me weren't deterred. The pizza is that unique Italian bakery style pizza which I hadn't had for a long time, with the soft buttery crust, almost like focaccia. The cheese and sauce aren't anything fancy, but the taste is just insane. Probably a little too greasy to eat on your drive back to work, but it's doable...An order of "a slice" is actually two rectangles of pizza, which is definitely plenty, probably even for a dinner. The most popular items were the pepperoni roll and the slice of the day (meat lovers), but cheese was fine by me. There is a great variety of baked goods, as well. I had a cannoli, which is one of the better cannolis around (On par with Bommarito's, if not a notch above), and the tiramisu looked very tempting. Parking can be a bit of a cluster during the lunch rush, but I'd recommend everyone check it out. I think I'll be back to pick up a large you-bake pizza before long.
(5)Stacey R.
I've been coming here since I was a kid and my dad used to bring me in on Saturday mornings for fresh bread and cookies... They have the yummiest pepperoni rolls with cheese (with or without sauce) and the best bakery pizza in town. The slices are huge and if you're lucky, you'll get a crunchy corner piece! Perfectly baked with the right amount of cheese. (The unbaked pizza comes in handy for parties too.) I highly recommend Capri to anyone who wants a quick, filling lunch and doesnt want to spend a ton of money.
(5)Nick W.
I have been here several times and will go back as often as possible. Their unique Italian-bakery style pizza is simple and divine. Their breads are delicious, and tonight my Mom called the Cannoli (which, by the way were made fresh as I waited) 'sinful' and went on and on about them!! And the service is warm and friendly, always. A Dearborn treasure.
(5)Rodger W.
I have been buying unbaked pizzas, slices and pepperoni rolls here for years. They specialize in a Downriver/Dearborn style of pan pizza that is pretty unique. Think of a modifed Oakwood Bakery Vienna bread crust with abundant sauce, mozzerella, and pepperoni. Each slice is actually about 10 inches square, and then cut in half. When you order, the put your slice (or pepperoni roll) back in the oven for a short time to reheat it. The result is delicious. They also sell some pastries, bread, and a limited selection of Italian groceries. All are very good. There are tables to eat at, or do what most customers do and carry out. Take your luch to one of the numerous local parks, or return to you desk for your next conference call. Be sure to mute when you are chewing. :)

Capri is the greatest pizza ever. I'm a total foodie, and it really is incomparable. It's also my daughter's favorite and she's pretty picky. The staff is wonderful, the pizza is inexpensive and the taste is second to none. Also it doesn't make you feel disgustingly full like other pizzas I've had in the area.
(5)John N.
Capri is a family owned bakery which is nice but which also carries certain annoyances. For instance, two of the last three time I attempted to stop there, I found the place closed for some family vacation. The service and pricing are both fine. There can be long lines though and I'd like to see a little more extensive of a menu from these guys. The pizza is huge with a very chewy, but not tough, crust and little sauce. I'd say its more savory but less zesty than most take out or delivery pizzas. But the pepperoni rolls are probably my favorite here since they seem less greasy to me than the pizza itself.

Pepperoni Roll, oh Pepperoni Roll, how you haunt me... This is another one of the classic Ford lunch spots/ Italian bakery that looks like it's been there for decades. This place serves up pizza, baked goods, and patizzis. The real hero is the pepperoni roll which is pepperoni, gooey cheese, a slightly vinegary sauce baked into the perfect piece of bread and served pipping hot in a brown paper bag. As for the pizza, Roger is on to something, since there is a specific baking sheet style square slice that can be found all over here. It reminds me more of focaccia , is relatively tasty, but not my favorite.
(4)Scott W.
I usually get the cheese roll with sauce, and today I tried adding artichokes and spinach to it. I was worried that it would screw up the chemistry that makes the cheese roll so perfect, but it didn't. It was awesome. high five!
(4)Matt S.
Two slices (actually 4 pieces of pizza) and a coke for under $6! I've never tried their other lunch fare, but it all looks really good. Their baked goods and bread are pretty good too. This is one of my go to places for a cheap lunch in Dearborn.
(4)Maria K.
Capri is the BEST pizza EVER!! I've been coming here for years. Now I moved and I crave Capri pizza all the time. There pizza is so good that if u order from anywhere else you'll be dissatisfied. The service is great and the price is awesome!!!! Keep up the good work:)
(5)Ross S.
You like pizza? Add this to your top list! Pros: -Cheap, cheap cheap. -Ask for a slice, you get (an equivalent of) two slices -Bread/crust is fantastic! -Friendly staff -Tasty as all get out! -Unbaked pizzas bring this awesome taste home! -Lots of variety when it comes to menu choices Cons (these are very nit-picky, btw): -Closed on Mondays -Some may find the pizza too greasy -If you want a lunch special, make sure to get there before noon. We usually get there around 12:30 and they're usually running out. When it comes to pizza, this is probably my #1 spot in Dearborn. I like deals, so the value here is a big winner. Super-friendly people, tasty pizza, easy accessibility. What's NOT to like?

A great lunch! I enjoy the pizza special slice of the day, pepperoni roll, and a chocolate chip cookie every visit. This place supports Juvenile Diabetes and Ford Motor Company promotions so I tried it and now it gets a weekly visit from my whole department! We all enjoy this place and always have a great meal everytime we go. It isn't NY pizza, but it is still really great! This place does get crowded, so get there early for lunch!

Capri Bakery carries THE BEST Pepperoni Rolls EVER! They are definitely what this place is known for! After talking with the owner, I discovered that this recipe is as old as the bakery, over 40 years! It's a delicious light, fluffy dough packed with just the right amount of pepperoni, which have just the right kick! You can get one plain, with cheese or with cheese and sauce. I prefer it with cheese and sauce. They serve them up hot and melty. (I also discovered that if you ask nicely they will kindly add any of the items they have available that they would put on pizzas; ie: sausage, onions, green pepper, bacon, etc. w/additional charge). For about $2 you can get one of these very filling and satisfying rolls! As for the pizza... don't even get me started! It's the same dough, sauce, cheese, pepperoni as the Pepperoni Roll, just in pizza form! The sauce is just light and zesty enough to add the right kick! It is a tad greasy, but that is natural for the quality of pepperoni and cheese that this place uses! Very wholesome, delicious ingredients and it shows! They have cheese or cheese/pepperoni slices everyday and a different special slice everyday. I LOVE the cheeseburger or the spinach, feta, tomato! Clearly, both vegetarian and meat lovers options are available! They could use more variety, definitely, but that's what makes this place unique. They even have u-bake pizzas, so you can take them home and bake them yourself, and they're already assembled. As for sweets, they have homemade cannolis! Also, they have cookies, baklava, danishes, muffins, Italian specialty cookies, biscotti, brownies, tiramisu, just to name a few items! I go here for lunch at least 3 times a week, although it's pretty unhealthy. I do have to say, if you get there right around lunchtime the line can be discouraging. It's usually around the inside to the door, but I have found that the service is very quick and I can be in and out in 5-10 minutes. Also, they do run out! It's usually right AFTER the lunch time so if you know you are going later in the day, I have found that if you call, they will gladly hold anything you want for you! The place is a Dearborn/Detroit staple! Only real downfall is that it's so good they run out before the doors are closed!

Grabbing a bite to eat at the Capri Italian Bakery is a highlight of my business meeting days. They offer good-quality pizza and baked goods at very low prices and have exceptionally friendly staff. A fresh-from-the-oven (and very large) slice of pizza for lunch followed by a cookie or some other sweet is a fine experience, and the pizza rolls have an excellent meat/cheese/crust ratio. It's not health food by any means, but boy is it tasty. They do have a couple of drawbacks-- if I run by for a bite after work, they may be out of what I want, and the lunch rush is pretty hectic. But I can always find something worth the effort. They also have some Italian grocery items available, so look around the shelves while you wait.

Unfortunately, a few years ago this bakery changed owners and they revamped themselves as more of a pizzeria. They still sell some bread as well as uncooked pizzas and bags of raw pizza dough but they primarily sell pizza by the slice, pepperoni rolls and other similar items. I can't speak to any of their cooked items except for their pepperoni rolls which are greasy and delicious, as they should be, but their bread is very good and my mom and I have been buying unbaked pizzas from them since I was a little girl. They have a nice sturdy crust for lots of toppings. But I liked it better under the old owners :/
(3)Lisa J.
This place has the best go to pizza and pepperoni rolls for your greasy cravings. Their pep rolls have ruined me for all others, it's their dough...and the grease. Great flavor.
(4)Ryan P.
Been going here for years. The pepperoni rolls are the very best you will find none better! Only reason I gave it four stars is because the prices keep going up. I remember when just a plain pepperoni roll was only .75 cents. Other wise the very best bar none. Once in a while I'll drive back to dearborn just for a pepperoni roll, and if they are closed, my next choice is DIB. But Capri always comes first!
(4)Casey F.
Friendly staff-good pizza and cheap too! Their cookies are very tasty and the pepperoni rolls are yummy as well. I go once every other week and they're consistently a pleasure. Wouldn't come in a part more than 4 though since seating is limited.
(5)Pardo P.
No wonder there is a line-it's great. Don't worry, the line moves quickly. You must try the pepperoni roll with sauce and cheese! Great bakery items, breads, cookies, cannoli, and etc..
