Coldwater, Michigan --- A "Run-A-Way Bill" Favorite! not hungry or thirsty, but had to "experience" the roadside Food Drive-In to go along with my Movie Drive-In, so I ordered a Fudge Brownie milkshake Went inside vs having car-hop delivery (next time ... I gotta get the window-hanging tray "experience" too The staff was pleasant & courteous, the atmosphere was nostalgic with soda fountain counter & 50's music playing, plus my milk shake was thick enough to collapse my straw on each sip ,. Visiting from out of town, we had to stop & ask where it was. We were pointed in the right direction and told that "New owners have taken over and it's not as good as it was." Turn signal on to get our order taken, it seemed to take longer than it should have as there were only 3 -4 cars there that were already already waited on. The food was quickly served and very hot! I ordered a Patty Melt Basket with fries and slaw & a chocolate peanut butter shake. They have like 51 flavors of shakes! The Patty Melt was like none I had ever had before. Served on Texas Toast rather than Rye bread, NO grilled onions - a Patty Melt MUST and only American cheese -- usually American AND Swiss or just Swiss Cheese. So, I basically got a cheeseburger on Texas Toast. The fries were GREAT, the slaw - mediocre and the Shake tasted like the peanut butter was old & rancid. I won't go back when in the area again.

Good food! Get a lot of food for your money and a lot to choose from :) were waited on in a short amount of time and had to ask for a little more time to decide on what to eat.

Good onion rings, coleslaw, and service. The hotdogs could be better quality. An all beef or Hebrew National would be better.

This was a great place to eat! The food was very good, the root beer as well! They have 51 different flavors of shakes to choose from, I got the Irish Mint shake my wife got the Hot Fudge shake, both were very tasty! If you are ever in Coldwater, MI. and looking for a place to eat at, this is a must!!!

A drive-in with car hops, frosty mugs with root beer and a Chicago Style Hot dog. What more can I say. We go here every year when we are on vacation in Colon, Mi.
