This is a little gem to discover. Very polite staff, very clean, excellent BBQ at great prices. The pulled pork and beef brisket were excellent and Caesar salad very crisp without overload of dressing. And free ice cream cones for dessert. Will definitely be going back.

What a surprise! I am giving this place 5 stars given the restaurant type "sort of fast food" and price point. The restaurant was very clean, the food was well made and portion were large. Also, free ice cream! I recommend the pulled pork, or the honey roasted turkey breast. There are 2 types of BBQ sauce, both good, but I preferred the original. We plan on going back if we are in the area. The restaurant also does catering.

Service was good.. But the food overall was very Blah, and none of their sauces were very good

For what this place is it is great. Quick fast barbecue with good sides and hearty portions. Their daily specials are great and the BBQ was impressively quite flavorful with good smoke rings. I know it is a chain but it works. Kinda like the jimmy johns of BBQ. I am looking forward to returning! In a county with not much good food options this is a welcome change

Over-priced + ok BBQ + ridiculously small portions = (2 stars) add in free baby ice cream cones = (3 stars) not bad not great a BBQ coin flip enjoy the ice cream

Did a 3 meat meal. 1 rib, pulled pork and brisket. Flavor was okay. Waaaay over salted. Nothing too impressive with the sauces. Brisket almost looked like the pulled pork. Use to it being a thin cut slice. Beans tasted very basic. Yes a bit pricey.

When I heard "free ice cream" it made the decision easier for where to go to lunch. Bonus is kids eat for free on Sundays! Lots of meat and sides options. Choose from 1-3 meat plates or a few sandwiches or salads. My order of best tasting: 1) Baked Potato Casserole (loaded mashed potatoes!), 2) Brisket (so tender!), 3) Spicy Cheddar Sausage. Ribs were good and came off the bone easy but nothing to rave about. My husband thought they were fine but I did NOT like the Ham, very dry. Love a place that has sweet tea! Refill your own big yellow cup. Ice cream cones are mini but get as much as you want. Their vanilla soft serve is like ice milk...not creamy...but it's free! Family Friendly Fail: no changing table in the bathroom. Suggestion: Would be great to have some tables outside in that large front shaded entrance. It was very COLD inside with the A/C - bring a jacket!

In a word? DON'T! Unless you enjoy surly staff, small portions, mediocre BBQ oh and of course paying a lot for it...

Ribs were great. Get the sweet sauce. Wife got the brisket and pulled pork. And she was super excited with the free ice cream.

Food was okay, but the restaurant was very dirty and restrooms even worse. Clean your restaurant! This visit was in stark contrast to the one visited in Daphne AL which was spotless. I get it that BBQ joints aren't known to be spotless, but if you want to charge top dollar then I expect the place to be clean.

The customer service gets 5 stars for sure! They greet you with a smile and a group "Welcome to Dickeys'!" I don't eat too much barbecue, but my grandparents LOVE this place! I can tell you for sure, the chicken caesar salad is awesome (especially if you're a cheese lover like me!), as well as the deliciously seasoned waffle fries! The price is right and did I mention you get FREE ICE CREAM with your purchase? It's self serve, right next to the sweet tea! YUM! I'm a huge fan of macaroni and cheese, so I was delighted to find that you can add any side to your meal. My sister and I both finished our mac and cheese first! They also cater! This would be fantastic for a family reunion or graduation open house! If you want barbecue for a great price and friendly environment, Dickey's is the place to go!

I am Texan to the core but have been transplanted in Indiana for the past 10 years. This is the first real BBQ that I have experienced since leaving Texas. Great brisket, polish sausage, sides and Texas BBQ sauce.

Pretty darned good for Coldwater. If you're looking for fast and well prepared food, a themed ambience of quasi south and lunch under ten bucks, this should be your place. The staff behind the counter will sub/swap items on the menu to meet your taste requirements. Now the food: study the menu on the wall, or better yet grab a printed menu before ordering. While a simple enough list of offerings, it takes a few minutes to navigate. I ordered the BBQ turkey platter---excellent. This meal will bring me back to Co'water. Free (quality taste) ice cream, too. The menu can be accessed on the website: dickeys.com/menu

Who would have thought you could find great traditional southern barbecue in southern Michigan. Well Coldwater has it with Dickey's cause the brisket is tasteful, moist and just as good as you would find in Texas. The rolls don't even need butter. Prices were affordable under ten bucks a person. To top it off they give you FREE soft serve.

You have been warned. Started out ok with a nice greeting when walking in. First, I had eaten at a Dickey's before, Tennessee I believe, and it was pretty good. Nothing phenomenal, but good. This place has the worst BBQ ribs I have ever eaten. Shoe leather would not be bad enough to describe these. At $25 for a rack ($40 with drinks and a kid's meal) these should be fantastic. I wondered if we were in trouble when the cook (possibly the owner) unwrapped these ribs from the plastic wrap and heated them under a light. Uggggh. Fries ok, ditto macaroni and cheese, but what do you come to a BBQ for? The ribs. The faster this place closes and a good restaurant takes over the better. Only got one star because Yelp doesn't take zero.

Was hoping for some Texas style BBQ but, this ain't it. The meat is dry, very sparse, and not nearly as good as real Texas BBQ. I am done with this place for BBQ. I ordered a half rack of ribs and got very little meat. They can call themselves Texas Style BBQ all they want but, that doesn't make it so,

Amazing BBQ. Took my 13 year old who doesn't like BBQ and she said it was great. Casual atmosphere, great food. Will certainly eat here again.

Great BBQ and very friendly service, an overly satisfying experience. I only purchased a small hoagie topped with premium tender pulled pork smothered with barbecue sauce, topped with onion and pickle. Also, a delicious side of baked beans, and some waffle fries. I dipped and/or topped everything with some type of barbecue sauce....it was amazing. Cheers

Awesome. Authentic Texas BBQ in Southern Michigan! While we were there it was non stop customers. Always a good sign. We had a couple of their meals. Solid portions and fair prices. The brisket was outstanding with an amazing smoke ring. I also really enjoyed the pulled pork, ribs and turkey. My favorite sides were the baked potato casserole and the baked beans. For those who like a little kick, try their spicy sauce. Definitely stopping here again.

We stopped here on the way through town on the recommendation of yelp reviews. This was much more than what I was expecting. The building isnew with nice booths to sit in. The people at the counter were very friendly, making smiles out of my grumpy kids. And, the food was great. I got the brisket on a salad and my husband got the pulled pork sandwich. We only tried the mac and cheese and green bean sides, which were really good. We will definitely stop in coldwater again.
