HUGE sub - especially for the money. Not the best sub in the world, but very good and you can't beat the price for what you get. Building is run down and this is strictly a grab your sub and go kind of place, but definitely worth a try.

Terry's is great. Best subs in the area. The owner and employees have always been super friendly the many times I've been there. Ask for a punch card; your seventh sub will be free. My top choice would be the large steak and cheese with everything. The seasoning on the sub rules! Be sure to call ahead as it takes a bit to make those hefty subs.

the Terrys special is the best sub in town,i can eat a whole one if i'm hungry..the owner is a super nice guy and there always spot on w everything...if you've never had a Terrys you should check it out..you wont be dissapointed

Outstanding submarine sandwiches in the classic Italian style. No eat-in area, and a very basic menu with some sandwiches, pop and chips. Nothing fancy, but believe me your eyes will bug out when you taste these things. Yes, they are giant, but even more, they are delicious. They are huge, so a half will do if you don't want to eat one twice in one day.

Love these subs! Like the others that posted - do not let the appearance of the building fool you. You can only eat a half but a whole will feed two and maybe even three. They are made fresh, so I can see the slow service BUT it is worth the wait. For how long Terry has been around - that should tell you something right there.

This place is a diamond in the rough. These are hands down the best subs I have had in this area. I had the steak and cheese sub. It was very flavorful and tasty and the bread is super soft. The portions are HUGE, one half of my sub was as big as my head! The outside is run-down looking and it's carry-out only. You will wait a bit to get your sandwich since they make everything fresh. Also, make sure to bring cash as they do not take credit/debit cards (I had to run across the street to the gas station to use the ATM, heh).

My dad and I have been getting food from here for over 10 years. Huge portions, great food and great service. Don't let ever leave me, Terry's!

Terry's Sub Shop has been at the 15 mile and Gratiot location forever. Seriously. My old elementary school used to be located directly across the street and I remember the teachers bringing back giant subs wrapped in wax paper back in the 1970's. The original owner, Terry, is long gone from the business but his subs remain the same. Huge, fresh and delicious. I remember Terry being a lovable grouch-like character who had a funny business card with a black and white photo of him biting into a giant sub. Right before his retirement he proudly told me that he made his living selling one sandwich and did not have to offer 50+ choices like the competition. Everybody is selling sandwiches nowadays. Avoid the homogenized corporate giants and get an old fashioned sub from Terry's wrapped in wax paper. The menu is pretty simple. Go there. Buy one. Now.

Stopped in to try this place and OMG it smelled like a dead body in there. Was afraid to order food it was as so baf.

Terry's steak house is something like a myth. You hear all these great stories and reviews and you think, "hey that sounds like a great place." So you go there and the place looks and smell like kitchen oil from 1973, asbestos and hint of vinegar. The guy who runs the place is very nice but the sandwiches are not made of quality meats. The game is think and chewy and the steak is not on the level of subway (very low bar) it's like seasoned steak-umms. Gonella's is a much better no frills sandwich shop.

These subs are huge!!! Also delicious. I stopped on a whim. I'd never heard about it but live near by and I love sandwiches. These things are as big as your freaking head. You have to think about it and do some geometry in your head to figure out how to bite it. There is a lot of bread but I just peeled some off. The location is kinda awful, I've been harassed in the parking lot. But those subs are Damn good.

If you want a man-sized submarine sammich the way sandwiches are supposed to be, you go to Terry's. If you want a nancy-boy sandwich that's mostly lettuce on some sort of artesian bread, you go to ... well, you know what I'm talking about, ;). Two thumbs up! (cash only, limited parking), :) .

Family has been getting Terry's since they were first in Roseville. We love them. I've introduced many new people to a Terrys and they all go back for more. Some mention them being pricey. One sub makes easily two meals for a glutton like me. Their sub easily has 4 times more meat and cheese than a subway sub. The current owner Jeff who took over from Terry (Not his real name btw) years ago and has been carrying on the the Terry tradition of big tasty subs. I don't care that the place needs some remodeling as long as they don't start chinsing on the subs.

A little place with a little menu made from the best stuff they could source and stuffed into some wicked awesome bread! There are a bunch of sub shops right around this one, but don't let the variety and familiarity lull you into passing this place by. They hit every note at this place and there is a reason why they can compete against the big boys. You can't really go wrong here menu wise, just get what you like and leave happy.

Maybe their subs are delicious? I wouldn't know, I've never actually received one. Their service sure sucks. I stopped by for lunch yesterday. I thought $9 for a whole sub seemed expensive, but I've heard good things and thought I would give it a try. There was one person working, she was 40+ in age, with obvious back/leg problems hobbling around, she was "busy" making two subs (really? you can't take an order from a menu that has 8 total items on it WHILE you're making two subs?), and she refused to do anything but work on those two subs for well over 20 minutes. She looked miserable, acted miserable, and offered no customer service whatsoever. Long story short... After waiting 25 minutes before I got to speak to the one person they have working there, I was told that they don't accept credit cards and left with nothing. The subs might be good, but their customer service is not and that's enough to show me that they don't care about their business. I won't go back.

This guy rocks, he stayed open until I got here n had my super Terry sub ready for me. If you never had one....shame on you.

Wholly wah batman what a sub. I ordered theTerrys special and I could barely eat 1/2 it had so much it in. Cappicola, ham, salami, provolone, lettuce, onions, pickles and peppers. Served ona nice chewy bun that can handle the load of toppings. Terry was very friendly, it was if i had been a friend and customer for years, well now i will be. Looks can be deceiving so don't let the looks of the place stop you from trying it. SEEK OUT TERRYS

Will never eat here again. Lady was taking my order, collecting money, then touching the food without washing her hands. Gross! Place is ran down.

This place is an old school sub shop. The meats are sliced when they make your sub and the bread is great. They are very large and tasty!

This place is a hidden little gem. Its kinda dirty looking and totally needs to be overhauled however the subs are old school and massive. Inexpensive and delicious.
