Great food and super cheap prices. I would definitely go back. We ordered the beef lo mein, almond chicken, fried rice and egg rolls.

So glad I finally got a chance to come in here! FINALLY some decent, old school Chinese food. The decor matched exactly what I had hoped for. Mixed drinks like Zombies for $4.50 A dine in lunch special for $4.50 and a staff that is all smiles. My test for Chinese places is always the Almond Boneless Chicken, and this one was spectacular. 2 gigantic chicken breasts with a light, crispy batter over lettuce and fried rice, covered in the thick brown Hoo Mee gravy that i'm fairly certain has addictive properties. Won Ton soup was great, Egg Roll was great, it was all just... great. Come in and get a carry out, or better yet, bring friends and run up a bar tab with some old school drinks served in coconuts and stuff, it's a blast!

I have to say, the food here is completely standard/mediocre. I have been here a few times, and nothing stands out at all. I would give the food three stars. HOWEVER, the drinks. Man, the drinks. I love corny restaurants with ridiculous drinks. Almost all of the cocktails here are under $5.00 and they are huge, fancy (always some ridiculous pom-pom thing in them), and strong. For $10 you can get a "volcano" which comes in a giant bowl with - no joke - a fire in the middle. It comes with 17" straws for you to share with your pals. I'd give the cocktail menu 5 stars. Also, the ambiance is great. It looks like a set for an 80s movie. Gorgeous murals on the walls and a nice, big fish tank. So, come and grab some standard grub, get a mai tai or something, and wander over to the movies when you're done. Great place.

China Kitchen is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area! The food is consistently delicious, with great portions, great prices, and great servers. The lunch specials are a nice value. I recommend dining-in here. When ordering to-go, the meals include less, so there is less of a value, but the food tastes just as good.

China kitchen saved my marriage. I absolutely love Chinese food, but my wife hates it. We have visited every Chinese place we could find since we moved to the east side in 2007. There are three things I look for in a Chinese restaurant: 1. Wonton's that don't taste like garbage. 2. Egg rolls stuffed with beam sprout mixture, not cabbage. 3. Fried rice that is not drenched in oil. China kitchen not only passes all three tests, but has actually converted my Korean wife to a Chinese food lover. She asked to go for Chinese for the first time ever this week! Try the emperors chicken and the crab rangoon.

Great for the price. Lots of good food. Quick service. Nice dining area. Good soup. Had the Egg Foo Young .. I can't wait to have it again!

A whole lotta food for such a low price! The combo plates are the way to go....soup, egg roll, dinner roll, and then main course. I went there with my fiance and dinner for two was $22.00. I love the garlic chicken, lots of chicken and veggies, you can see the chucks of garlic. We have recommended this place to others and they have enjoyed it too.

Amazing Chinese food. This is the place to go in my area as far as I am concerned. All of their dishes are pretty well done and they are worth the drive from my house

best chinese i've ever had. their lunch specials are high in quality and low in price ($4.50 last time i checked). it's a great place for dates with it's quiet atmosphere and friendly, attentive waitstaff.

The best crab rangoon in the area! No joke. This place has good service and good food, but the rangoon KILLS it. They are really huge, over stuffed pockets of sheer delight, and unlike other places, they use REAL crab meat. When you walk in it looks like any other Chinese place. At your table they list the daily lunch specials, all at $4.95. That's what drew us in the first time we went. Never have we been disappointed with anything here. If you get the old lady, she is really fun.

Ugh. Okay, yeah, it's cheap.. I'll give you all that. The decor is whatever, pretty typical Chinese. Here's my breakdown; Service- Horrible. We got seated moderately fast, but the server didn't come over for at least ten minutes. Wtf. Food- I asked our server if they had fried wontons and she said "yes, with nothing in them". Wtf, really??! You don't even have pork ones? That sucks. That's my favorite thing to get at a Chinese restaurant. I ended up getting the sweet and sour chicken, which came with an eggroll and soup. The soup and eggroll came out before my Pepsi, which made no sense but wasn't a huge deal. The soup was just OK. Nothing special. The wonton in it wasn't very good. The eggroll was OK, but not terrible. The entree was absolutely awful. The rice was really gross too. I won't be going again. There has to be better food somewhere :(

I don't know what everyone ate here that was worth 4 stars but my general tso's chicken was disgusting. It was not general tso's at all it was almond boneless chicken labeled general tso's. if I wanted almond boneless I would have ordered almond boneless. Very disappointed!!
This has been my go to Chinese spot for over 10 years. The price to portion ratio is good and the food is almost always on point . They carry all the staples that every Chinese restaurant has they just make them better than others. Best wonton soup and spicy chicken anywhere. I would say they have the best fried rice as well.

I ordered the General Tso's chicken... It was bland and forgetful. I honestly think they gave me left over almond chicken. I was very disappointed and my first visit there will be my last.

Let me be clear: I am very picky about my Chinese. This place is okay considering that they have great 2 person dinner deals and their prices are more than fair. Their crab rangoon is also delicious! However, I once went here with my boyfriend and he had a terrible upset stomach the rest of the night, and he has a tough stomach!

This is more like a 2 and 1/2 star rating. I don't know of another chinese place, been trying to find one. Im kind of picky on my chinese food, on what ill eat though. This place has it thats about the ONLY reason i stay with them. They have some mess ups they need to improve on before ill bump up my rating. Kind of scared to even order again truthfully. So, We order from wok to you and they get food from China Kitchen My order is ALWAYS the same! Pint of pan fried noodles, pint of chicken fried rice, almond boneless chicken dinner with no gravy. FYI the almond boneless chicken doesn't have almonds in it anymore. It only have maybe 5 to begin with but now has 0. The last time i ordered from here, was 2 weeks ago. I tried last night but, apparently the day AFTER Black Friday is a holiday? News to me.. they were closed for the holidays. Anyways. Were always told it'll be an hour to and hour and half which is kind of ridiculous! Although MOST of the time they are SO off. Its normally 30-40 mins. Hard to plan when to order though with that kind of "time frame" if thats even what you want to call it! When they told me an hour and hour and half i said "wow, quite a wait. Alright see ya then" i always let them think I'm not keen on that time frame which, I'm not but like i said its not typically that long. 2 hours hits since I've ordered and i call them. They say, "driver is on his way 15min". No apology NOTHING. I said okay... 30 mins later he pulls in. We ask how long he's had the food. He was real nice, said "JUST picked it up" we said fine and paid him. The food was SO DISGUSTING and COLD we ordered a pizza! I called them back INSTANTLY, told them the story and the issue. The guy says, "well i can give you a $5.00 credit on the account since thats all we charge them to use their service. you'll have to call them directly to complain." I asked if we could just get NEW food he replied "your looking at a 2 hour wait" i just replied with f that! I call China Kitchen directly. Cant understand A WORD this lady is speaking. Finally asked to speak to someone else. This lady isn't MUCH better but you could put pieces of the sentences together. Wouldn't take credit/responsibility for the issues. Blamed it all on this company. argued and fought with her saying that its the worst food and its cold and such she just said "it left hot" just simple saying like that. Were said "this is how you treat customers?! i am now throwing $20 worth of food in the trash cause its gross. Cold, chewy, a mess just gross!" She offered 15% next order and took our name. Haven't ordered since. Typically this place isn't bad. Okay, its no 5 star material but its cheap and hits the spot occasionally. My next order status will depend if i ever use them again.

You people who think that this place is awesome are absolutely crazy. Almond boneless chicken soaked in grease so disgusting. The gravy look like it had lard and mixed with a slurry. The fried rice was not even fried rice. Egg roll and spring roll both not worth a penny. If you want good Chinese food I stand by Golden Chopsticks on Jefferson in St Clair Shores. It's worth the drive I don't care where you live. Check it out and then you decide.

I'm not a huge chinese food fan, so I can't really bring myself to go much higher than a 3... but the price probably would make it a 3.5. This is pretty much the only ACTUAL Chinese food place I will eat from, at least in my area. It comes across as clean and not "mystery meat" ish that too many places seem to serve. The price is a flat out steal and they will add extra to your dish for $1 more if you ask (which still comes out cheap). Combination plates come with soup and eggroll and they serve you in courses if you sit down to eat (you end up being stuffed before your food arrives). The last time I ate there the chicken fried rice was a little "burnt-ish" tasting... but that's not usual. It's a typical "mostly-carryout" place and servers are not going to win any awards but they are much nicer than most Chinese food restaurants (they actually act like they like you!). I enjoy coming here when people suggest Chinese - it's pretty much the only place I'll go to without saying 'You get carryout, I'll stop at Panera." So it HAS to be good. And, again, you CAN NOT beat these prices either.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
