Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This place literally has some of the worst service I have ever received in my life. I try to avoid this place if I can, but my friends and I like their breadzza so we stop in every once and a while. I was coaxed into meeting up with one my friends here last night and was not surprised at all when the waitress proceeded to take my friend's order and my boyfriend's order and then walk away. Guess I looked like I didn't want to order anything. Then after the waitress came back I tried to order a drink and then had to keep reminding her for the next half hour to actually bring it to me. On top of that, my friend ordered extra peppers on the side with her breadzza. The waitress put the charge on my bill. Needless to say, I was a little more than frustrated. I probably won't be back.

Love this place! Great food, ice cold beer, and reasonable prices. Keno, pool tables, darts and Golden Tee. Great weekly specials. You can't go wrong!!
(5)Eowyn K.
Renshaw's is a laid back bar and a good place for groups. The crowd is fairly mixed, which is not bad thing as it can make for good people watching. The alcohol selection is pretty standard as are the prices during non happy hour or "specials". The menu has a good variety with standard bar food. I like the breadzza, which is half pizza, half cheese bread. The salads are large and , at least in the case of the antipasto, the unhealthy bar variety. The other appetizers I have tried are pretty standard. I was not a fan of their nachos and would avoid them in the future.

Great food & service! Friday night was very crowded and it took awhile to get a table but it was worth the wait. Great beer selection and an extensive menu! The fried pickle chips were really good and the house burger was cooked perfectly. And lets not forget that you can get fries or tater tots! All in all a great place to grab a few drinks and a bite to eat.
(5)Charlie P.
Nice staff. Free pizza during football, ad $2.00 22oz Coors Lite all day.
(4)Dom H.
My friends and I enjoyed great drinks and apps at this place. There are tons of great food specials for the hungry folks. The staff is inviting and the atmosphere is inviting as well.
(5)Kimberley M.
It takes 1ins to get a drink. Then we r out smoking yr waitress comes out and demands her money... Even if we r not leaving.. AWESOME PPl friendly!!!!!! Ok I came back and I'm pretty sure I have the best waitress, Ally... I like her a lot!!!!
(3)Samantha L.
Want Tater tots and a cookie with every-meal as a flashback to childhood? Try it out. It smells like Lysol and bleach when you walk in the day after a Friday or Saturday night, so you know some partying has been going on. The place has tons of seating and many TV's, keno, pool table, and even some arcade games to keep you busy. They offer great food and drink specials throughout the week and even when there is not a special the food is pretty cheap so it won't break your budget. The antipasto salad is my favorite - I always get a full order just for myself!! They do not skimp on any ingredients for any dish. Plus, each dish gets a chocolate chip cookie - which I think is a cute touch. The service is fast and quick. However, on a Friday or Saturday night have patience because it can get pretty busy and servers take a little longer than usual. They also have outdoor patio seating, which is awesome in the summertime. If you want quick food or a place to hang for a sporting event - then this a go to.
(4)Maria A.
Typical bar atmosphere. Great for bar night :) When you walk into this place, you will definitely get the vibe that there is a lot of drinking and partying that goes on here. It seems like cleaner and like someone recently vomited. Not very appealing for eating but I did say that it is your typical bar atmosphere. The food is pretty good. They are very well known for their pizza which we opted out on this past visit. They do have great drink specials, lots of TVs, games, and lots of tables. The food is a little bland for those who like a little spice in their life. You will definitely be adding salt to your fries or chips. You get for what you pay for here but overall it isn't great or bad.

The renovations are awesome. Have not been here in a year and a half. The crowded place seems to approve. I live almost 70 miles away and Renshaws Pizza is the best I have had in a while. We have a place in Dundee (Near Cabelas) called Rivers Edge Pizza and its the BEST around these parts. But around Royal Oak / Clawson I have to say Renshaw's is really really good. I wished I lived closer... this would be my neighborhood hang out. Kudos to the people responsible for the renovations. You went from cool to awesome.
(4)Meghan O.
Great food, great price, and great service this evening. The woman in charge tonight (Paula) was very courteous and made sure the workers were doing their job. I had noticed the service hasn't been as awesome as normal the past couple months, but I can see some changes have occurred recently and Renshaw is back to its good old self. I highly recommend this restaurant/bar and be sure to order the grilled chicken pita! And also: I wouldn't call this place a "dive".
(5)Stephanie A.
Service was horrible....it wasn't even crowded. We ordered pizza, which took forever because she said "it wasn't cooking right." Tater tots came out burnt, no potato in them whatsoever. I felt like our waitress thought we were more of an inconvenience.
(1)Terry K.
Since their renovation a few years back, Renshaw's has taken on a new life as the go to bar on 14 mile. They stay open as late as the law allows every single night except for a few choice holidays so you can count on them whether you want to get crunk, chill or drown your sorrows. The bar food here is glorious for what it is and competitively priced. Everything here is competitively priced. The shots are large and the beers are cheap. Budget ballers can get a pint of Labatt's for $2 or you can step it up to a good Michigan craft beer for a few dollars more. They must have 40 beers on tap. They serve a damn good round pizza that is superior to many local pizzerias and they're cool with you ordering one for carry out. The burgers are sizeable, delicious and hard to beat for $6. $7.25 if you get the tots which are a must. I have friends who swear by the Shawster (massive Corned Beef sandwich w/swiss) and monumentally portioned Calzone's. They've also got all the fun stuff to keep you occupied (i.e. a ton of large LED TV's for sports, 2 pool tables, darts, video games, juke box, lottery, etc). Renshaw's kind of lives a double life. It's a family friendly bar during the day for the older crowd but at night on weekends, Mr. Jeckyl comes out to play and you'll find a younger set at least a hundred deep mixing, mingling, smoking, singing and laughing while partaking in the good drinks and loud music. There is always a decent crowd there when I drive by after work so they stay busy but you can still get your drink and food in a timely fashion as they run a tight ship. Some of the bartenders have been there for years and there's a cooky cast of regulars. Clawson cops are always nearby and they have a small surface area to cover so do consider Uber X or a DD if you drink too much. With these prices, it's easy to do.
(4)Ray B.
Solid; no disappointments. It's a bar menu but with several items being homemade; impressive list of beers on tap and at a price that won't break you. It can get noisy but a good local option.
(4)Rob B.
This bar is decent. A few years ago it was a real dump, but after renovations they have turned their business model into a power house. It was packed there last night! Mostly 20-something's. The brew prices are ok. They range from $4-$10. The well drinks are the same. Our waitress was a bit slow. We did not try the food they have on the menu (they didn't have all those yummies a few years ago). We left about midnight and the place was still rocking.
(3)Matthew K.
Exceptional. Reminds me of LA, upscale, yet cheap....clean, good food, awesome bartenders, busy, yet organized. Go here, ask for Simone.
(5)Martha V.
Really good beer specials, good food at great prices, friendly and efficient service (even willing to put on an out of market hockey game on one of the many TVs on a busy Saturday). It is a really big space and is loud when full (like on a Saturday night). Even though the parking lot was packed, we were able to find a table. And despite the full house, our server was able to bring drinks, food, and a check without us ever feeling like we were waiting around. There is an excellent selection of craft beer and specials on some more mainstream brews. My husband and I had a check of less than 20 dollars. Definitely worth a repeat visit....
(4)Sam P.
Just straight average. Honestly. Server never smiled but got our order correct, kind of. Food runner got the food to the table but ran away so quick I couldn't tell her when something was wrong (two times). Some other dude circulating, taking empty kegs out back and checking the bathrooms and such, kept the bathroom clean but didn't wash his hands on the way out. Food. Well, you get it, the food was straight average. The beer was ok. Decent selection. Fair prices. I'm rather sensitive to dirty draft lines and after one tall beer I had what feels sort of like a hangover the next day. If you have the same problem, you know what I mean. Anyways. Place was packed but simply average. I don't get it. I just don't get it. I might go back here if it wasn't busy and I wasn't hungry. Otherwise, na, no thanks.
(3)Blaise B.
Went here for the first time and wish I'd tried it sooner! This is a great sports bar. We will be returning! They have great deals every day of the week... we went on a Tuesday so it was free pool day. The food was all solid, delicious bar food. My boyfriend ordered a sandwich and it came with a chocolate chip cookie, which was a really cool touch. This may be a new go-to!
(5)Rachel P.
The food is super cheap and so good. My favorite dish is the spinach and artichoke dip. Huge serving for only $5. You can't beat that!
(5)Michelle F.
What a great find!! Such a great menu, tons of beer on tap and great service from Simone! The full menu is available late, big plus for us! We will make it a regular stop
(5)Suzanne S.
usually this place is 4 star. tonight they missed the mark - fish overbreaded, over cooked - fries like cardboard and slaw seemed days old.
(2)Jayson L.
It was my 1st time here and It was great. Great food for a great deal. The one thing I wish is that they had their menu on the Yelp page.
(4)Lia M.
Relaxing place with a good atmosphere to have drinks. The food here is on point. Great pizza.
(5)Scott X.
It's a dive bar that knows it's a dive bar. Good draft deals. Nice service. Not much of a culinary experience, but can't really complain.
(3)Behzad B.
This place is the best in town. Every night they have multiple special draft beers for just $2! There are two pool tables, darts, games, and so much fun.
(5)Nick M.
THE PIZZA IS AMAZING!!! Service is still pretty inconsistent, mostly in terms of wait staff. Some are rude, too.
(4)Austin S.
$2 22oz beer, wide beer selection from Kuhnhenn to out of staters, great food at great prices, pool and keno, great service, all in a modern looking and large bar room. Best bar in the area, hands down.
(5)David P.
Pizza. Beer. If you're looking for something outside of those two things, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The pizza's great, the beer selection is awesome, but I'm just not a fan of this place. It's not just because they've cleaned it up...which they have, and some people seem to be all about...but the problem there is that they've cleaned up the place without really going through a clientele transition, and so it's sort of a place in limbo right now from an identity perspective. You've still got the "dive bar" crowd showing up, but you've also got the 'Jersey Shore' crowd there too. A liberal sprinkling of "DUUDE...high school was THE BEST TIME OF OUR LIVES WHOOOOOOOOOO!" crowd (a distinct, separate sub-species of "dive bar crowd", so worth noting) on a regular basis, along with the random pop-ins that don't seem to know what to think or expect. So I guess if you're looking for an interesting cross-section of humanity while eating a really good pizza and downing a beer or two...you might want to at least give this place a shot. There's just something..."off"...about the place. I really wish I could put my finger on it to be able to articulate it properly in this review, but there's just been a strange vibe every time I've been there. Weird.
(3)Maureen M.
Renshaw's has become a regular spot for us when we want to go to a bar close to home. We usually grab a bite too. They have a pretty good beer selection. They carry a lot of national brands in bottles and a pretty good variety of craft beers on tap. The food is pretty standard bar food. I don't think I've had anything here that stands out as being awesome, but it's consistent. My husband likes their burgers and the fries are always good. A friend of mine tried their Shepherd's Pie (special of the night) and at the whole thing. She said it was really good. My husband was disappointed with the turkey sandwich the last time we were there. It's just deli meat, not real turkey breast. I think that's something he definitely should've asked about when he ordered. It always seems busy when we drop in, but we never have an issue finding a spot to sit. They have a lot of big flat screen TVs to watch games and several pool tables. Service is pretty prompt and always friendly.
(4)Alex H.
Great food for a great price there is not a bad thing on the menu. 40 beers on draft $2 Labatt, coors light, and pbr and daily special. Best bar in Clawson
(5)Ashley T.
The food is OKAY and decently priced. The service is usually lacking though. Past few times I've been here it takes forever and the servers aren't very attentive. Fried pickles are awesome though and they have good ranch. Other than that this place is just "meh".
(3)Christine H.
40 draft beers and you can take a growler home. Haven't been here in a couple years and went last weekend, got there when they opened. The service was great, we sat at the bar. Not sure what it's like when they hey busy, had stopped going because it seemed to get pretty douchy. The chicken lemon rice soup was creamy, wasn't expecting that :-/
(3)Dick E.
Wow! Stopped in for the first time in years and this place got a fantastic face lift. The food was pretty decent and the atmosphere wasn't bad either. Definitely gonna come back.
(4)Mary H.
We are here once or twice a week. GREAT beer selection. GREAT food. Paula the manager is very attentive to the staff and makes sure that food and drinks get out if the servers are busy. BBQ chicken pizza is the best you will ever eat. Cannot beat the food specials. Tots, calzones, wings, it's all great food. Who cares how they "used to be"? It's about how they are today. Even on a night when they are crazy busy, you can find a seat and get an ice cold beer that's reasonably priced and a great food selection.
(5)Amy P.
This place is ok for a bar. They have great beer specials and lots of TV's. There is lots of seating but every time we go it's totally packed and it's hard to get a seat. The good is typical bar food and nothing to write home about. The pizza is a safe bet.
(3)Gary M.
This place is awesome. You will love it here if you like delicious draft beer, great pizza, beautiful bartenders and low prices. I am a raving fan. Everything on the menu here over delivers at a very low price. Plus they have 2 pool tables!!! Their pizza box reads, "warm beer and crappy food" that's hilarious. This spot is my new favorite for sure!!
(5)David P.
Nice recent renovation. Waitress was quick and friendly. Thanks. BBQ BACON burger was very tasty and onion rings were hot and good. We split our order and it came already divided on two plates, nice touch. AND HAD A COOKIE! 22 oz brew for $2 can't be beat. Bad part was the smell of Lysol still burned my nose as we left. I can only hope it was abnormal. We saw a club sandwich at another table which will be our choice if we return.
(4)Megan S.
The Mac and cheese was tasteless and sad, kind of like the entire establishment. If you're not getting pizza I wouldn't waste your time.
(2)Cristin R.
I like the beer selection and the prices of this place, but they allow the smokers to light up on the connected patio right by the door that leads into the main bar. The bar gets filled with smoke. it's nasty and illegal I'm sure.
(2)John K.
I really get pissed when I see signs that say things like "Best Pizza" or "Voted Best Pizza in Town!" and you feel duped by mediocre grease wheel. Perfect example, nothing special.....actually kinda nasty. The only thing keeping me from flipping my shit and going off is the fact that the beer specials are truly terrific.
(2)Kimberly M.
If you want perfect fries, this is the place. They get it right, crispy, lightly brown out side and yummy fluffy potatoes on the inside. It's not super fancy food, but it is consistent and delicious. The service is friendly and attentive. My husband loves the newly expanded draft selection and we both love the reasonably priced drinks. Make sure you check out the daily specials. It's just a nice comfortable place to hang out with friends. Another plus: clean, nice bathrooms.
(4)Rayna M.
My boyfriend and I and also all our friends are common regulars through out the years in this place. It's close to home, and when our friends are back in town we all gather up and come in here for their cheap beers and specials. Although it is just typical bar food they have a great selection of food to choose from. They also have amazing pizza! They have the same specials everyday but they are different each day which makes it easier to pick which days you want to go. They have a full bar and many great beers to choose from I recommend this place for anyone in or around the area. You get a great deal and your money worth but make sure you bring cash because they have a 10 dollar limit on creditcards which is a pain in the butt if you're just stopping in for one drink.
(4)Robert W.
Now that it's renovated, it's no longer the "Renshaw". It might have the name, but it resembles more of an Applebees than the quintessential dive we all loved. Listen, the pizza is still 5-star and they have 35+ beers on tap, but it just isn't the same.
(3)Tracy P.
Very casual bar, great to go to just to hang out if you want to watch a game, with lots of TV's. Also great if you just want to hang with friends. Not too loud like some bars. Great drink prices and selection. Really good above average bar food with fantastic pizza. Wait staff is all women but not trashy. My wife likes to go with me for dinner or drinks after work, and she would not like it if it was trashy. Good middle-class bar. Good parking too.
(5)Gwynne B.
Service was great! After remodel, no longer a dive bar... more of a comfortable sports bar. 40 beers on draft, many are Michigan craft brews. Weekly specials are awesome, especially $3 pints for MI drafts on Tuesday's. Pizza was delicious, crust tasted very much like Alibi's. Yum!
(5)Aaron C.
Awesome place. Pizza is among the beat around and the rest of the food is great as well. Awesome drink specials every night, it seems. Atmosphere is great, staff is always friendly and the service is solid.
(5)Andi J.
4 stars because they need more seating. Great pub though. The prices are excellent as well!
(4)Erica C.
Wednesdays appetizers are half off, and good appetizers at that! must I say more? So but seriously the food is really good and its a good sports bar that is OK for the kids to go to. You dont have to worry about the kids acting too wild or loud, the whole place is kinda loud to me. They also have pool tables, which I don't play but hey there there for you. The service is OK- my friend knew the waitress we had so she looked after us pretty well, the other waitress I had though, was not all that attentive but we got our food. So no don't go here on a first date or any date for that matter. Its just a local Champs or Apple Bee's, that type of joint. Nothing special but the price is right on Wednesday nite! Hey that rhymed!!!!
(4)Cyndi J.
Decently priced, cold beer and they have tator tots.
(4)Mark B.
If you need a fried food fix, this is your place. Cheap drinks too.
(4)Brian W.
Low key bar with a relaxed atmosphere. No wifi. Great beer prices. $1.25 PBR on Sunday. Great for watching football. Small outdoor patio.
(4)Sarah T.
I'll make this short and sweet.. Renshaw's has fantastic food!!! the drinks aren't bad either, but I get carry out from here often, and I've turned my parents onto their food!!! Good stuff!!
(5)Robin E.
Renshaw offers really good food at really good prices. It has several nice TVs and a lively atmosphere. I have to stress that the food is better than the chain sports bars at a fraction of the price. Also, Renshaw has a huge bar selection and surprisingly, their mac and cheese is one if the best around.
(5)Anna T.
Great place for drinks with friends and a nice food menu. There are 2 pool tables here and plenty of seating.
(5)David R.
We frequent renshaws. Very good looking waitresses and great service. Nice craft beer me u and cheap food and drinks. Get the Shaws ter sandwich with the tator tots
(5)Mike H.
We're in from out of town, soI decide to check out yelp for a place to eat. Boy am I glad we tried this place! They have a good beer selection, great prices, and good food. On a Monday night it was fairly quiet, but we had the full attention off our waitress. I had the chicken melt and it was awesome. The grilled rye bread and bacon together was mouth watering. Sandwiches not only come with fries, but a chocolate chip cookie too!
(4)Joe T.
I agree with all the pathetic slaves to nostalgia. It was way better before the remodel. its like they got bar rescued and lost all of its charm. I can't slam it too bad. the price of Blue is still 2 or 2 1/2 bucks. the food prices are real good especially for the quality of their better dishes. The remodel made it a nicer bar in every way, yet now I'm preferring my pint at the Hideout down the road. hats off to the owners for updating and packing the place. Its like when Jeremy Clarkson from top gear raves about how perfect some new super car is and at the end finds himself wanting to drive something lesser. Its a great place if you don't mind its lack of soul. see you at the Hideout, and don't buy the Molson. The 22 is 6 effing dollars, but the miller is still cheap and its soul is still in tact.
(3)Jenny H.
Great dive bar, awesome chicken tacos. Love the New taps! Also with the new addition, becoming more family friendly during the not so serious drinking hours. This is great cause even people with young kids and no babysitter need a nice early night out sometimes with great beer, and a DD..ha!
(5)Matt M.
Not as good as it used to be and not bad if you don't mind not being able to hear the person sitting right next to you because the jukebox is WAY too loud.
(3)juston m.
Renshaw's is the shit. period. don't expect anything nice or fancy. expect cheap good beer, proficient waitresses and really good american food. the pizza is awesome and they have my favorite buffalo wings in oakland county. 2 dollar coors 22oz is worth it. if you're looking for a microbrew, don't go here and don't expect it. but, if you know how to have fun and can pound some cheap beer come on over. if you have a hankering for good bar food this is the place. it is smoky, because its a real bar. love, juston
(5)Matt W.
What was once a charming shithole is now basically a B dub's. Like my momma always said, "You can't go home again." I'll probably never go back.
(2)Moyah M.
This place is great for a dive bar, even though they just added on to the building making it double the size of the original place. We always go here for Monday Night Football and the domestics on tap are $2 and there's free pizza after 10 pm. I know what you're thinking, free pizza is gross. On the contrary, the pizza is amazing and that's why it's so crowded on Mondays. You have to be on the lookout because the pizza is usually gone in 30 seconds, but it's a fun game to play. Appetizers are you basic bar food apps. Service- It's just okay. Sometimes the servers are on point and then other times you have to go track them down. All in all I look forward to going here every week.
(3)Stephanie K.
A) $2 22oz Labatts B) Friendly service C) It was one of the waitresses birthday and the owner/manager secretly asked all the patrons to surprise her and sing 'Happy Birthday' to her and then offered everyone a slice of cake. Anyone who cares about their employees that much is pretty awesome. D) I've always heard that it's a dive bar. Nope - very clean and nice establishment E) Yes, it's bar food but they do it pretty well. Our small nachos were a good size and extensively cheesy throughout. F) If this place was closer to where I live, I'd be there every other day.
(4)Ryan B.
$2 for a 22oz. Coors Light. All day, everyday. The crowd is mixed. From 21 to up. Regulars of all ages. The wait staff is on top of things and easy to look at. I noticed they do a good job flirting with the older folk at the bar. Way to hustle those tips! Anyway, I bring my focus back to the $2, 22oz Coors lights-served in a Glass-not a cup. You can get blitzed for a few bucks. I love it.
(4)Samir N.
I dropped into this place and grabbed their $6 fried chicken special. It was not spectacular, but it was not bad either. I am not sure if they seasoned with anything other than salt and pepper, but it was still better than Zehnder's (not much of a compliment). They have a ton of beers on tap and they are more than a buck cheaper than regular price at lunch time - I am not too good to not drink during the week day. They also have a ton of TVs, but they were set on ESPN and Fox News.
(3)Megan G.
I hate to do this to the Renshaw because it was one of my favorite hangouts for years. Downgrading it to 2 stars because, after the remodel, it feels just like any other overdone sports bar on planet Earth. The menu is intact, but unfortunately, so is the habit of under-staffing.
(2)Kinga W.
They just remodeled! The place looks great and best part, they didn't lose their 'dive bar' prices or atmosphere, they just made the place bigger and cleaner. No complaints here! The food is exceptionally good, especially their pizza, and everything is priced for major affordability! I get great service almost every time I go there, it helps that the waitresses know me by name, and the food comes out promptly and fresh. And if you thought that all sounded great, wait until you hear their daily beer special... 2$ 22 oz drafts... everyday.. thats right.. EVERYDAY. Last but not least, Mondays they have free pizza after 10pm !!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
(5)Danielle F.
A dive with the best bar food I've ever had. I especially like the grilled chicken pita probably just for the simple fact that their ranch is the BEST! Pizza, breadza and cold beer are all close seconds. Burgers are good too. Be prepared to reek like cig smoke though.
(4)Ericka D.
Just came here for the first time with a group of people. They have good drink specials if the server can remember to ring them in for you. 2 of us ordered drinks - one at 9 pm and one at 9:15. When we were charged full price and asked our waitress she claimed it's because the system runs 5 minutes late. We didn't really feel like picking a fight over a couple dollars so we let that one slide, even though the 2nd drink was ordered way after her 5 minute limit. And not to mention most bars run on "bar time" which should be 10 minutes ahead vs. 5 behind. Next off we changed tables and kindly cashed out with our 1st server in the area we were sitting in to keep tips and sections straight amongst the waitstaff. The new waitress took at least 20 minutes (probably more) to even bring us a drink. By that time we were all ready to leave. Topping on the cake - they require a $10 minimum and have $1 drink specials. It's not posted anywhere but they'll let you know when you want to cash out. Our server was so bad I don't think we could have possibly gotten $10 worth of drinks in the remaining 2 hours and more importantly didn't want to stay one more second due to the horrible service. I have no intention of going back to this place because the service is so poor. $10 should be an easy amount to spend amongst 3 people in a span of an hour but this place couldn't manage to do it.

Living a few blocks away from Renshaw, I wish I could like it as much as I want to. Fact of the matter is, you're going to get God-awful service if you're a lady, or a couple. The waitresses there will only cater to single men. My boyfriend and I went there with another couple, and sat at the table directly in front of the waitstaff drink station for 10 minutes before getting any kind of service. We asked for a round of beers, and menus. Drinks came, no menus. We got the menus ourselves, and she never came back for our order. We finished our beers, guessed how much our bill was, and left that amount on the table. On Saturday nights, they usually have two women working the entire bar. If I wind up there, I'll order 2 drinks at a time. You won't see a waitress for 40 minutes after she drops off your order. Now, it is true that the food is pretty darn good. I just wish I didn't have to wait anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to get some freakin' garlic cheese bread.

Do not, i repeat, do not order the fish and chips unless you like batter and gooey batter at that. Absolutely disgusting, but the service was good.

If you're looking for a cheap hole-in-the-wall kind of dive bar, you've found it. The pizza was okay and the drinks are cheap.

I went to Renshaw last night for the first time. The beer special is great if you are in the mood for cheap tasteless beer. However, the waitress we had really ruined the experience. She barely checked on us and when we were ready to cash out she brought the bills out VERY slowly and even forgot one but was nowhere to be found so that we could ask for it. I'm not opposed to giving the place another try and hoping for a better waitress.

Great place for a burger and a beer. The pizza is excellent.. The only downside way too smokey.

One of my oldest drinking haunts. Never fails. I've been coming here since soon after I turned 21, about the time I started drinking. Renshaws is your average dive bar affair. Except for the bathrooms. Whoever decided to put marble counter tops in a pretty run down bar must've been smoking something awesome. Two pool tables, two dart boards, large bar, tons of really cramped table (large parties can be tricky if its busy.. by tricky I mean near impossible) all in a comfortable space $2 22 oz PBR, Coors Light and Labatt Blue all day every day for every day ever in existence. St Patties day? Yep. Cinco de Mayo? Yep. You get where I am going. They also have daily drink (and sometimes food) specials, power hour ($1 bottles, $2 wells, etc) on Saturdays from 9-10 (great launching point), and cheap food. They have plenty of TVs, you will never miss any action. I remember seeing the Tigers go to the World Series here, was probably the best sports environment I had ever experienced. Food is bar food. But its good bar food. The pizza is fantastic thin crust with that curly grease-cup pepperoni. They used to have mac and cheese which was awesome, their sandwiches are great for being made at a dive bar, their salads (according to my friend) are pretty good. Renshaws is a neighborhood bar. If you go here often enough, you'll get to know everyone. And its worth it, the people have great stories. The servers are attentive and very talkative, the bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly as hell. Easy 5 star for me.

Went to Renshaw for the first time last night and I loved it. the food was amazing( I had the BBQ burger, nachos and mac & cheese. the service was decent too. Not sure if I would ever try their pizza because I am into true italian style pizza but everything else was great.

I would not come back if you paid me to. The service was absolutely horrible. The food was ok but the bad service can not be overlooked.

We've going here once a week to meet up, for drinks and food. I'd recommend the pizza; it's good. I haven't had much of the other food. The drinks are good and not overpriced. The noise level is a bit high. Sometimes the waitstaff is overwhelmed and a little slow.

Now that it's smoke free, this place is perfect! Cheap drinks and better-than-average bar food make for a fun night! Their pizza is great, as are their sandwiches. I love that a night here won't break the bank, there's plenty of seating for my friends, and a TV nearby to catch the game.

Maybe when we go smoke free in May I'll bump it up to 5 stars but for now I'm holding steady with 4, because holy smokes (literally). Finally, after nearly 2 years of living a mile from the place, I finally experienced the awesomeness that is Renshaw pizza. First off, the garlic cheese bread? Amazing. I don't know where that mozzarella comes from but damn is it good. And restaurant ranch? Love it. The pan pizza was not exactly what I was expecting, I thought it would be a little more deep dish but was surprised to find the crust pretty thin, but it was still delicious regardless. And $2 23 ounce drafts? Sign me up! I can't wait until it's time for lunch tomorrow so I can eat the leftover pizza...

i love it here. cheap beer, good food and lots of TV's, these are a few of my favorite things. some friends introduced us to renshaw's a couple of years ago and we are up here in a semi-frequent basis especially to watch sports. i even chose the shaw to celebrate my 30th birthday. and since they have re-done their bathrooms is it am even more enjoyable experience. i go for their $2 22oz coors lights/labbat/PBR. they do have a huge beer selection, but sometimes i just like cheap beer. their pizza is good as well as their burgers, wings and french onion soup. that's about all i have eaten here. sometimes the service is slow, don't be shy and just flag down your waitress or just get up and get it yourself, they won't mind. *edit to add* we went here again last night for a surprise birthday party. again, i had $2 coors lights and we ordered a pepperoni/bacon pizza with garlic crust and it was great. the large was $16 and probably 12 slices, 3 people shared it and we still had left overs. my friends enjoyed the dart board and we played some tunes on the jukebox. our waitress cassie was very nice and attentive.

Used to go here all the time in college. I don't remember much of it but we always had fun and it was cheap. Their beer glasses are awesome and we used to "borrow" them all the time. I still wish i had them. Oh college, it was fun.

I drove 70 miles (from Irish Hills) to visit a friend in Clawson Sept 2009. We went to about four places in the downtown area and settled on this one because the smell of the pizza was awesome. After trying the pizza, I must confirm what others are saying...its great. Now that everyone is smoke free, the smoke complaints are irrelevant. Going back tonight... over a year later. The anticipation of pizza and the cheap drink prices has me drooling.

I love love love the pizza and the patty melts! Now that it is smoke free this a great spot to eat and to hang out and drink. They also have nudie photo hunt and keno which always make for a great time!

This is easily my favorite bar, ever. And now they're expanding! Food and drink specials everyday, excellent pizza and solid bar food otherwise. Great drink prices and your loyalty will be rewarded i.e. strong drinks for regulars and good tippers. I call it a dive bar, but it's clean.

One of the many reasons I love my friends is that they keep introducing to more cheap dive bars. I am a loyal customer of the Hideout and their $2 drafts, however due to a recent crisis in one of my bitches' lives, we had to take on a new location, and found ourselves at Renshaw. $2 beers people! This for Coors and Bud and 1/2 appetizers during happy hour...so let's break this down. First, the $2 beers are genius anywhere and will always get my attention. It could be hole in the wall bar, with literally holes in the wall, but if it has cheap beer, I'm there. THe night I was there they also had $4 jaeger bombs...genius if you ask me. There's darts and pool and it's cheap to play and a good juke box that plays at just the right volume. Our waitress was great and we she cashed out and we got the next one, she was equally as great. This is a great bar to hit during the week when Wednesday has just been too long and Friday is just too far away. The food is bar food, but it's damn good. I recommend the pizza or the chicken tenders.

I liked this place. It is definitely a neighborhood bar, which I like. I enjoy going to bars which are full of people getting drunk at 1 p.m. on a weekday. The service was good and friendly, and the veggie pizza was good, except for the unfortunate use of canned mushrooms (maybe a 3.5 star pizza). If I lived in Clawson, this is the kind of place I'd frequent.

Ew! High school reunion! Aside from the fact it's clientele is mainly the people who never went anywhere or did anything, it's a nice bar and fun people watching when I go back to town.

I'm not a huge fan of the establishment itself, it's smoky and seating is a bit weird, oblong from front to back... the beer on tap is so-so, you're going to probably be drinking something pretty generic and domestic if you go here and order a beer. But the pizza is just downright awesome. Probably my favorite in the area, and that's saying a lot. For those of you who have been to Green Lantern in Madison Heights the pizza tastes similar to theirs... but a little bit... i don't know... better. Also... and this carries a lot of weight in my pizza joint... the ranch dressing is really good. This is one of those places you can feel proud when you take someone there that you know about this "hole in the wall with the best pizza in Detroit." I had major surgery about a month ago and for my "last meal" there was no doubt it was a bacon and pepperoni pizza from Renshaw's with all my loved ones. Lots of really nice flat screens make it an ideal place to catch a game and have a pizza... just leave the coat in the car, like I said, it gets pretty smoky.
