It's pretty sad that it took so much brainpower for me to puzzle out that Rally's and Checkers are the same place. I mean...Yelp is telling me Rally's, but the coupon is telling me Checkers and even Retail Me Not was getting into the action...until finally my husband just told me to sit down and he'd go get the damn burgers. Anyway! I've never had Checkers/Rally's before, but I was already impressed at the low low prices. With a coupon (of which there are TONS in your weekly coupon mailers, Sunday paper, etc), we were able to stuff ourselves for a full dollar LESS than what just my lunch at McDonalds had been the week before! Score one for the frugal! Check your receipt...ours had an offer for a burger combo for only $1.99 if we brought it back in within three days, without even having to take a survey! And the burgers were really really good! I had a Checkerburger, the hubs had a Buford, and we shared some seasoned fries. Now a note on those fries...I LOVE french fries, absolutely adore them, but in general I dislike seasoned fries. These, however, were just perfect. Back to the burgers! I'd most closely compare it to a Whopper, but tastier. All the veggies were crisp and fresh and didn't have that sad brown wilted look to them. The Checkerburger appeared to be the smallest "adult" burger, and it was more than enough. If you prefer a smaller serving, they do have a kids' menu you could order from. Now the grease...yeah. Very greasy. But oh-so delicious. And probably less debilitating as a hangover remedy than say, oh, White Castle.

This place is so Clawson it is amazing. Decent food at an incredible value. And so greasy. Grease is the key to my heart and so are Rally's fries. You should try them. If you don't, you probably hate America.

I went here and asked the girl what the difference between two similar looking hamburgers was. She said she didn't know because she doesn't eat fast food. Think about that for a second.

Very friendly, fast service. Get their fries they are to die for. Deserts are nice and their classic hamburger's are the best. They may call it 'Checkers' but it is still Rally's to me.
